  • Helo,
We can't fully say that richer or poorer countries are responsible for climate change. Its something all countries are responsible for, although richer countries, being more busy, would have more people to cause more destruction. That's not even proof, anyway. Here in Ghana, extreme heat waves have evaporated our water bodies and caused drought, Heat waves have killed the majority of our livestock, and there is no sort of shade from the ozone layer because deforestation is frequent in Ghana. Polluted water bodies have caused a lot of children to be disabled in rural areas. In my opinion, we need to stop this and start restoring our planet. Researchers estimate that by 2050, there might not be a planet. So there must be a change indeed.

    1. I agree with you. You're absolutely right! Climate change is a global issue, and everyone has a part to play. It's true that wealthier nations might have a bigger carbon footprint, but we're all in this together. Yes, here in Ghana, we're feeling the heat quite literally. The droughts and heat waves are devastating, and the impact on our water sources and livestock is tragic. Deforestation is definitely a concern too. I completely agree that we need a massive shift towards restoring our planet. 2050 feels too far away to wait. We need to take action now to protect our environment and ensure a healthy future for everyone.
