All the examples of walls that I can think of seem to have bad effects for people on at least one side of them or have bad feelings about them. For example the Berlin wall, the wailing wall, Hadrians wall. Has there ever been a good wall in history? If all walls have bad things to do with them why do they keep being builded?
What about walls of houses? Or walls decorated with art?

Questions to Chahee:
The stories of the divided families are so sad and heartbreaking to read, so I wish you lots of luck in reuniting a lot more families in the future!
These are my questions:
Considering that North Korea operates on a very strict regime, what are the major obstacles you face when trying to locate a family member?
How many reunions have you successfully made?
I am very intrigued by the ‘Four abandoned children’ photograph posted on your website. Do you know their identities and are they safe?
Do you know the story behind the photographer who took this?
Questions to Peggy:
Did you have family members that were divided by the wall?
What struggles did you face when living in East Germany and how does it compare to living in the West?
Question to the director for Immigration Studies:
Your organisation believes in "Low-Immigration, Pro Immigration" which has a vision "that admits fewer immigrants but affords a warmer welcome for those who are admitted".
There are so many immigrants who would want to stay in America legally. However, if you want low immigration, how would you decide, who should be allowed to stay and who should be turned away?
What would you consider is a ‘low immigration’ number for America?
Should families with young children at the US-Mexico border be given priority to have legal rights to enter into America?
Questions to the Lawyer from Public Citizen:
I think what your non-profit organisations do is commendable by taking action on many public interests including environmental issues.
Considering that Trump is so determined to build his wall, what are/were the legal arguments put forward to fight against Trump’s wall?
Questions to the author:
When you were writing your book, was there a border/barrier that you thought was unnecessary and would easily be solved by other means?
Excellent curiosity!
Thank you Olivia!
To be honest, there were many more questions I could have asked, but then I thought it wouldn’t be fair for others. I hope other members get to read the stories of the North Korean divided families. It makes you wonder why any dictator would want to cause so much pain to its people and for what purpose? It’s just very sad! One day, hopefully the two nations will reunite.
