Why should people go to the moon again?

Space Featured Image 1

There are many reasons we should/shoulen't go to the moon again. Here are some negitive reasons reasons.

  • Like some other mistakes on missions rockets can blow up and kill people
  • You could get lost if you lost your tracker
  • Space is a big place, and if there is a unexpeted warning on something you could forget where you're going

Here are some positive reasons you should go to space.

  • You could bump into an astroid and then you could bring it back to earth and they sell for 1,000,000,000,000 (1 mill)
  • You could mine different minerals on the moon and you could sell it for how much a astroid is
  • We could explore and find something new

The moon is a big place so i want to hear your opinion spread over BNC.

you have spelled shouldn't wrong for starters and if we wanted to go to space we do not have enough money to send people to space and if somebody went there are many hazards as you have displayed. However if everybody went and took asteroids what if a scientist needs some for an experiment they wouldn't have any left which could be a cure for a disease we never know. Overall in my opinion i do not think this is a good idea.

I thing we should go back to the moon again because we haven’t explored the dark side of the moon and there could be something that could solve earths problems.

I think that the moon is such as wonderful planet because it is the only planet (except from earth) That a humans foot has ever reached so surely that means it is important.
Reasons why we need to go to the moon:
. We could discover more about the moon.
. We could discover lots and then let people live there in the future.
. Make sure that it is safe to travel to.
. See if there is any other living form in space.
. Finally if we forgot about space it would be like forgetting apart of our world which would not be good.

On the other hand, maybey going to space would be a bad and dangerous thing to do but mostly I think that we should go to the moon more often. And we can not forget any little part of our world because if the moon was put in space surely it was put there for some reason. Thank you for writing this post it really inspired me.

I think people should go to the moon again because it would be a lot of fun to know what happened and what they did on the moon I agree with other people's opinions and I hope you agree with mine

I think we should return to space and the moon because It is an amazing place with so much to look at and explore. Think, what more could be out there waiting for us to find, there can always be something more valuable than a asteroid out in space waiting to be discovered. Also we already have astroids down on earth in space museums and places like NASA.

What out there could be more valuable than an asteroid? And what do you mean by value?

It would be 1 trillion that it would be and also asteroids would not be very easy to transport and I do not think that anybody would have that money and you would probably end up having to give it to science and you would probably never even be able to get it to earth either in one peice or at all asteroids are very dangerous and massive the size is underestimated and the rocket would have to be massive if you wanted to get one which would be actually helpful to science and they are very far back in space so it would one be very hard to get there and back with a massive asteroid

People should go because it is like you are taking care of that place and it is really a good idea to go to space and learn more about it.

In my opinion we should go to the moon again because we have only landed on the moon once and if humans one day have to leave the earth we would need a back up home and we could use mars or others like the moon but first we would have to make sure we could sustain our way of life on the moon to back my reasons for this climate change and other things are going on in our world and if they continue we would need a secondary planet and these things are likely so I think we should send more people to the moon for reaserch but not using to much money or life's

In my opinion, I think that we have alteady been to the moon and there is nothing we need there or at least nothing is clear so we should not worry about that now. What we should focus on is finding a new planet to inhabit so that when the earth gets destroyed we will know where to go and we will save many lives. Although if we were to go back to the moon then we could discover things that are important to the planet but for now I think that we should look in the places that we haven't been to yet as they have more of a chance of finding things. If we were to go to the moon then we would probably waist a rocket as the chances are very low when it comes to finding things. If we go to another planet then we will almost definitely find something.

I feel like we should go back because we have trained astraunauts that have been to the moon successfully so many times so their is very high chances that we will have it successfull and come back with priceless objects.

If you were to ask me " shall we go to the Moon again" I would definitely say no, because we would spent to much money wasting it just to get some Moon rock and pride. This is quite ridiculous in comparison to people who need food and water in places such as Zambia and Kenya. Climate change is another reason, because if we don't stop the way we're going, in 100 years time the earths temperature would have risen by 2 degrees Celsius, this may not sound like much but believe me, at that temperature even parts of Antarctica we be habitable. Deforestation is also a worry, this links back to climate change because can help cool down the earth, this will also effect our lifestyle e.g. if you were to put 10 trees around your house, in the summer, air conditioning won't be needed because your trees would have dropped the temerature enough for you to not use it. These are just a small portion of the issues of going to the Moon again, and we shouldn't do it no matter what.

I think we should go to the moon again as it has been quite a long time since we last visited it and many could have changed since our last visit. There could be many things that could help us improve our future on earth or help us find out about our history. However if we are trying to explore Mars and we need as much money as we can then it would be better to save as much as we can. As exploring Mars will cost a lot of money.

NASA has been discussing concepts for human lunar exploration since the Apollo flights ended. In this 1995 artist’s concept, a lunar mining operation harvests oxygen from the lunar soil in Mare Serenatatis, a few kilometers from the Apollo 17 landing site.

The Apollo lunar flights may have ended in 1972, but the moon has remained of great interest to NASA and scientists around the world. “Apollo” invariably stands near the top of all search queries on NASA’s public website. NASA has sent more than 500 Apollo lunar samples in recent years to scientists around the world for ongoing analysis. Each year a handful of new scientific papers offer insights and updates to what we’ve learned about the moon from these samples.

The program has even become a cultural benchmark. How many times have you heard someone ask, “If they can send a man to the moon, why can’t they . . . “?

In the half-century since people visited the Moon, NASA has continued to push the boundaries of knowledge to deliver on the promise of American ingenuity and leadership in space. And NASA will continue that work by moving forward to the Moon with astronauts landing on the lunar South Pole by 2024.

NASA is implementing the President’s Space Policy Directive-1 to “lead an innovative and sustainable program of exploration with commercial and international partners to enable human expansion across the solar system.”

NASA stands on the verge of commercializing low-Earth orbit. These experiences and partnerships will enable NASA to go back to the Moon in 2024 – this time to stay -- with the U.S. leading a coalition of nations and industry:
