Should it be worth the cost?

I am going to argue on both sides.

Space exploration should be worth the cost because people can have a chance to explore space and make their nation proud. You can explore the other planets see the things that are going on there( maybe you might find aliens).

It is probably not worth the cost because it is expensive, you have to buy the materials and way more.If you go to space you are also wasting money because when you have discovered space after you come back to Earth you are probably like "Oh no I wasted so much money".

I think it is worth the cost because if in the first place ther was no space exploration we will be like "look at that huge night light ball in the sky." or "look at that fire ball in the sky."

We will not even know about the earths shape, other planets and we will think there is earth outside earth.

On the one hand lots of people think that space is worth the cost, because we could discover lots of new things there that could help us in the near and distant future. these things cold help us make things we have never even dreamt of actually having such as time-machines, flying cars and hoverboards. When King Henry VIII was king, if you told him that one day, if you flicked a switch on the wall the whole room would suddenly light up, or that one day if you pushed a pedal in a cool machine called a car you would magically be transported to your desired destination in a few minuets (depending on where you are going) , he would probably faint!!

However, on the other hand others believe that space is definitely not worth the cost. This is because, these people think that health and safety is more important than even thinking about going to space. If the government suddenly turned around and said that all of everyone's taxes would go to something to do with exploration in space they would be MAD!! Also, no one has actually said if it will affect our human skin. These people believe that ITIS BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!!

After studying the evidence with full concentration, open mindedness and scepticism I personally believe that it is the right thing to do to not go to space, because of the reasons I stated above and a few others that are not so important so I didn't bother to add them onto this comment. Thanks reading my comment!!

Good reasoning shown here, well done! Can you explain how you have shown scepticism?

In my opinion I do think that space exploration is worth the cost because when climate change gets too bad and we know that what ever we do can't change it then where would we go? Space exploration is the answer. During space exploration we can look for new planets to inhabit and at the moment we are thinking about Mars. If we were to visit Mars then not only would we be looking at seeing whether we could live there but we could also see whether there is any chemical that could help find the cure to Cancer or any other medicines. There are other potential planets in the solar system that we could live on or that have useful natural resources. From what we know so far:
Mercury: This is a planet that we can't definitely live on as it is very close to the sun but minerals could have formed due to all of the heat.
Venus: This planet is quite near to Earth so there is potential, we have found many new materials on Earth and so if Venus is near to Earth then we could find new materials there.
Mars: We were already thinking about living here as we thought that there would be life and it was at a perfect distance away from the sun to be able to live on.
Jupiter: This planet is the biggest out of all of all of them so there is more chance of us finding something, there is more room so that we can build more things. Although the increased gravity might be a problem for us.
All of these planets have potential and if we just leave space exploration alone then we would never find out. When Earth does get destroyed then we would need space exploration to help find us a planet to live on. I hope that these reasons help justify my answer.

Good reasoning shown, well done! Do you think space exploration is a good excuse for humans to ignore climate change, in the knowledge that they have a back up plan?

I don't think that this is an excuse for humans to ignore climate change as they just want to play it save and not risk billions of peoples lives.
