This is because in India they have millions living and sleeping on the streets and instead of funding for the poor they decide to spend too much of their savings on space exploration. Is this necessary?
I am sceptical about this. Space is not the answer. It's is not the answer to solving poverty, it does not bring peace and harmony, it does not (in most cases) solve Global Warming and all the other problems that our world has. In my view, space, ok yes, we get to explore places and find out new things, but it also claims lives, time and people, and consumes money. Explain how space is the answer and then I might understand why you would say that.
If space IS an answer, what kind of question are you looking for, a literal one like "What has stars and planets in it?" or a more detailed one like "What could hold our future?"
Yes I totally agree with the first part but what I ment was any question that space is the answer for no matter weather or not is is a literal or detailed it doesn't need to hold information.
With an answer there doesn't always come a question. This might sound strange but when people say: "space is the answer" they mean space is the answer to all our problems and flaws. But why is space the answer? Is it because we can live on Mars or find out about it or just find out about space in general? Like excited_passionfruit said: it is not the answer to poverty, global warming or war, so what is it the answer to?
I understand whet you are saying but it doesn't always mean that for example where are the 9 planets in our solar system? space do you understand what I am saying? If so please reply to this comment.
Oh yeah space is the answer to that question but I thought you meant space was the answer to our problems as it doesn't really matter that space is the where all the planets are.
Good question curious_speech "what is space?" well space can be almost everything it could be from tiny microorganisms to organisms know one knows-brave_lynx
Space has lots of planets, including our solar system, stars (like the Sun) and millions of galaxies. In the grand scheme of things, us as humans are only tiny parts of what makes space.
