If you were able to go to Mars what would you take?

If I were to go to mars I would bring a lot of water, a lot of food (enough to stay alive), clothes and an astronaut suit incase there is no oxygen.

I chose these things because if we didnt have cloths we wont have anything to wear. We also need a astonaut suit to survive oxygen problems if they happen. Also without food we will not get nuitriance without nuitriance u cant survive. In addition, we need water to survive as we are made up of over 50% water.

we could live on mars but on the other hand i think it is a bad idea because many people could get hurt or even killed if we are trying to get to mars we need to make very protective gear.I think we can do it because we have already made electronics like phones and i pads and they were very very hard to make back then.

I would also bring water and food which are vital for us to live with but excellent_rock the sun cream I would take but there is not really any sun so there is no point of taking sun cream. And open_violin you wont need to take an aastronaut suit because you will already be wearing one.

clever_pie if you were out of oxygen you would not need another suit you would have to have another canister of gas and your rocket would probably have oxygen floating around and in your rocket.

Going to mars is arguably a bad idea. However, if I went to mars I would bring those things.

If I were to go to Mars I would not know what to expect so I would be prepared. I would bring a good amount of food to last me a long time, as it will take about a year to get there, a year get back and I might have to stay there for a year and I wouldn't want to run out. Another thing I would bring is a lot of liquid (mostly water) as again I wouldn't want to run out. As it is extremely cold (-60 degrees C in summer and -125 degrees C in winter) I would need a lot of blankets and coats. I would also bring a suit of course just incase there was no oxygen on Mars. I would bring a few books to keep me occupied on the journey. I would love to bring my cat but he would probably not like that so I will take a picture instead. As the last thing, I would take plants, as I will be up there for about three years, I could grow some food.

Taking water to Mars and actually being able to drink it would be very hard. Mars is too far away from the Sun for water to stay a liquid, it would freeze. That’s one of the reasons why Earth is perfect for us. If Earth were any closer to the Sun, our water would evaporate, and further away, and it would freeze.

But, if we didn’t have this water problem, I would take:
. Water (if it didn’t freeze)
    . Food (to eat)
. Astronaut suit and helmet (Because there is no oxygen on Mars because there are no trees)
. Seeds to plant trees (so that when they grew they would make oxygen so I wouldn’t have to wear the astronaut outfit)
. Clothes (to wear when the trees grew)

But, I wouldn’t go to Mars anyway because A. space travel is very dangerous and B. we would be travelling to a place that human kind have never been too before, so it is unknown if going there is a good idea or not.

I would bring a science kit as you can work out if the life saving medicines you find are useful
