Protests

I think it is not acceptable for protesters to break the law since they are the same as all of the over people around the world and should be treated the same aswell. Also, when they do break the law people can get hurt or they can even pass away. I think it is not responsible to protest during a pandemic such as corona virus . I think this because it is easier to catch something when you are in a big croud expecialy if they don't have a mask / face covering on. I think it is a good and a bad thing when protests get challenged by other ideas. I think it is good because then other people can have their opinion and there word can get out there but I think it is a bad thing because some people may not approve and it might cause a fight. I think a celebrity joining a protest is not always a good thing for a few resons because firstly they might lose their fans but they also might show some of the younger fans that they are joing one and the fans might think it is a good thing and when they get older they may join a violent protest. Also, I think that they can join a protest since it is their life and most people wont be able to stop them from doing it since they carn't controll someone elses life.

During the pandemic it shouldn't be allowed to protest unless it is virtual activism or boycott, since you don't need to be out of the house, or in big groups of people. It really depends on how you break the law. Say if you only just forgot a minor law-thingy and accidentally broke it but you didn't mean to. Only if it was minor then you might; just might be let off with a warning.

There are many other ways to protest that are contact free, you dont have to meet in large numbers , We have social media not so they can put there point accros via facebook or tictoc they can get a protest going on that signicutures and things more people will listen to you if its done peaicfully and put in writting with thousands of signitures on i mean surly if many people want it enouhgh and sight the protests then it has to be heard and its far more safer then doing large group gatherings in the heat of a pandemic.

Hi mindful_volcano, those are some really interesting views, especially about celebrities getting involved. Do you think that celebrities joining protests can draw attention to good causes so might be a good thing?
