Are all protests safe?

Featured Image: Protest 9

In so many places, protesters and police officers get hurt. So my question is, why do so many people protest in such an enviroment?

There is nothing wrong to be at a protest, but if people get hurt in one, why do they carry on protesting? In my opinion, this shows that people are willing to take such risks to make the world a better place, but in movements such as the BLM, the main cause was violence. Policemen work day and night to stop this, but sometimes, the citizens can really overwork them. Though protests can be very important, is there any way we could stop violence?

I noticed that when the BLM movement was taking place, all the more violent protests were in the night, while in the day, the people were peaceful. However, a way the rates of violent protests ould go down is if people stop taking part in them, because people can't do as much damage alone.

Another thing i wanted to mention is another way to stop violence. Most protests are against the government, so if the government took the peoples opinion more seriously, protests may not be as common. Also, police play a part in the forming of violent protest as well. during the BML, george floyd was killed by a policeman. This is one of the many things that formed this rage, and therefore, the protest could have stopped sooner if it had not happened.

Sorry for any grammer mistakes or typos.

Not all protests are safe, but it would be bad to stop them. Simply people are just really angry, I would understand why some black people are angry because we shouldn`t be judged by our colour. The problem is, when people get too angry they do things without thinking. It`s easy to get other people involved with these kind of riots, as they share the same anger. I think people should star a protest of not to be harmful in protests. What I am trying to say is some people disagree with violent protests, these people can start a protest about stopping protests which end up in riots.

I think it's important to not say everyone is acting "without thinking" if they're protesting out of anger. They might have thought it through very carefully!

That's an interesting number, authentic_currant! Could you show some evidence to prove that "75% of protests are dangerous"?

In my opinion, the majority of protests are not safe and my prediction is 75% due to the 5g phone towers beind extremely dangerous because there are many clips of people burning down 5g phone towers on YouTube or social media.

I see - try to make it very clear if something is just your opinion rather than fact, authentic_currant. By using a statistic, this might make people think it is true, when actually, this is misinformation (not true). In fact, a majority of protests are peaceful protests. Does this change your opinion at all?

I would also like to fact check your comment about "5g towers being extremely dangerous" because there is no evidence for this. Here's an article about 5g towers where some experts explain why: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48616174

Not all protests are safe but it would be bad to stop them as there are issues that need too be taken notice of

I don't think it is right to stop all protests because there are some problems in the world that need to be sorted out and not many people / police / the government notice. If people always protest about things that are pointless then it should be managed by the government or the police. But, if it's a protest about climate change etc, then more people will protest about it and make the protest stronger and it will mostly get noticed for the right reasons. Also, Emily Wilding Davison sacrificed herself to end the protest to allow or not allow women to have the right to vote. In the outcome of success, everybody is happy. Some protests end up in success, some don't but hopefully the good side will win the protest and make the world even a bit better place for everyone.

Could you give an example of something that you think is "pointless"? And would everyone agree that it is pointless?
