What would you do as a Prime Minister?

Politicians and Power - Featured Image 3

Prime Ministers have a very important job. They have to make sure the country/nation is safe BUT, I don't think we are realy taking in how much work Prime Ministers are doing for us. Let me ask you this question. What would you do as a Prime Minister? Here is what I would do:

As a prime minister, I would ban all the things that are causing crime rates to increase such as drugs. This wold make our nation a better place as it would decrease the chances of littering. I would also ban smoking as every tome someone smokes, they are losing 14 minutes of thier lives. This could help increase our population as more and more people would want to join our nation.

The second thing I would like to be able to acomplish is by putting together a team to finght to not only stop climate chande but also fight to end the bush fires in Australia. It would be crusial as Australians are being forced to leave thier homes! Can you believe that?! It has been on the locan news lately and I just can't stand the fact that no one seems to be trying to help. What if that were you? How you feel/ Keep in mind that they are also people to and we should all try to help eachother.

Finaly, I would like to try and stop people from throwing things on the floor. If you see the state of the ocean right now, you would be discusted! The amount of rubbish is just disgracefull. I will create a team to go to thier local beach and try to pick up any trash that they have foing and put them in a bag. Then, I will have them take a picture of before and after and send them to me so I can see the diference. Then, The ones that have the least amont of trash on the after picture will be posted onine to show other people how we can make a change to or nation.

Thank you for listening,

Well done for giving so many reasons for your choices. Why might someone not want a prime minister to focus on an international issue such as the bush fires in Australia? Can you be open-minded and think from a different point of view?

      The reason why is that:

      1. They could cause a conflict with the country if they do something that upsets them. This possibly could have happened if we intervened when Hong Kong and China were fighting in Issue 1.

      2. It can distract us from focusing on the problems that are coming towards us. I think this way as climate change is affecting us also. A flood is likely to occur and if we don't take precautions and prepare. I understand that countries need help to refurbish their homes but maybe we should draw our awareness closer to where we are and not abroad.

      Thank you for reading.

I think some people would not want their Prime Minister intervening with international problems because in regards to climate change, their Prime Minister has already taken measures to tackle it. They would love to see their Prime Minister tackle pressing issues (for example, unemployment). If the other countries do not take measures to tackle their problems (climate change and the bush fires) then it should be their problem and not ours. They have to start tackling their problems and if they need extra help, then maybe our Prime Minister can render help/assistance.

I think a PM in this country has a hard job because if Australia was being attacked we would need to help as they are part of the country. So I would say that I would watch over UK and Australia. If I was in a different country and something bad happened I would make sure that everyone was alright and try sort things out,I would also give more money to the NHS,more to school as well.

I agree with you and banning drugs. But medical people use drugs to cure patients so would that be illegal? Also if I were prime minister, I would do anything to try and prevent the Australia wildfires from spreading. I would also donate money to help those in need and to the NHS. I love this article :)

By banning drugs, I ment banning drugs that aren't used in medical resources. For example, I would not ban medicen as it can help people feel well.

There are lots of things I would do as Prime Minister but I'd need a very long time to explain them all! I read a post from students at Portobello High School earlier today about leadership. They said a leader needs to to be clear, decisive and accountable, which I thought were good choices.

As a prime minister I would:
    Visit schools or charities regularly

    Listen to the people

And work with other world leaders to help countries and of course climate change
