Should we trust the Prime Minister?

Boris Johnson has made loads of promises, but are they all really worthwhile? For example, he has promised to leave the EU by the end of the year. Technically, we have left now, but we still need to unpick the things that mean we are actually leaving. He thinks that the job is already done, but in fact it's not. There is still a lot of work left to be done. Also, where is the money coming from for schools, the NHS, the police, and climate change? Is he really going to keep his promises?
I'm not sure but what do you think?

No we shall not trust the prime minister because he's go some secrets up his sleeve that no-one knows about

it definitely depends on if you like Boris Johnson or not because you might not like him and because of that you might not have trust in him
but many people have different opinions

sometimes we should not trust what the prime minster says because its not just he who can help the world it must take all of us to fight for our world and help save it from disaster and destruction I think people focus on the wrong thing at the worst time.

I have read that Boris has shut parliament for 5 weeks in Autumn 2019. This was a very long time, especially as Britain was due to Brexit deal by October 31st. Some said that it was illegal move by the government because it would reduce the amount of time that parliament had to block a no- deal Brexit. so I think he is not a very trust worthy president so i'm asking the same question. Will he keep his promis?

no i don't think we should because he might be hiding stuff we don't know about

I think we should trust him: I think we should trust him because he has been honest, using his open mindedness, he has been confident to speak out and he has been using his scepticism. Therefore I believe we should trust him.
I don’t think we should trust him: I don’t think we should trust him because he could be hiding something and we don’t know about when we need to know about it, he could also be doing something wrong to the country that we don’t know about. Therefore I think we shouldn’t trust him.
In my opinion I think we can’t trust him because all of the reasons I said above.

Great post Loyal Editor! I really like the way you questioned the role of a Prime Minister and how if they make a promise, they should keep it. I liked your suggestions on the different areas of society such as schools, the NHS and looking after the planet and how the Prime Minister must be held accountable for them.
For me, I think we should 'hope for the best, prepare for the worst' because we've seen other Prime Ministers make mistakes and not keep their promises. Let's hope Boris delivers and makes the country better but we must also prepare/expect things to go wrong.
Interestingly, the world's politicians seem to quite like Boris which you could argue is a good thing. Here is the news report on this -

In conclusion, I would say to be careful on totally trusting a Prime Minister. It's good to be optimistic and hope the PM will make a change but don't have too high expectations.

We all want to trust the PM but he is defiently not doing what he promised us and he knows that I just think he does not care.
07 Feb 2020
Well we have to see what he is capable of before we can trust them. It is like the saying you can't judge a book by it's cover, so you can't trust a Prime Minster without knowing them.
07 Feb 2020
Yes and No because they are supposed be trust worthy but they can't always be trusted because they could be hiding something and they have a lot of power so they don't have to follow many rules. They could give us rules that made them be able to do anything but that doesn't normally happen so it depends what the situations is and what happened.

I also agree with mindblowing clarinet because you don't know for sure the Prime Minister Is safe with all the rules, you don't know if you can trust them, but then I do agree with trusting the Prime Minister because his job is making the UK a better place and he can't become a Prime Minister without agreeing with all of the rules that apply.
Thanks For Listening.

I don't think we should trust the prime minister because he doesn't like the religion of Islam. He also doesn't like muslims because some lady's were a niqab and Boris Johnson (in his opinion) thinks there letter boxes
