Power and sovrienty

The image that I have drawn is to represent power and sovreignty. I have chosen the image of a lion as they are though of as powerful and as kings of the jungle. The lion wears a crown to represent sovreignty - that he is a leader. Sovreignty is where a state runs itself. I wanted to explore whether power comes from sovreignty or whether power can exist without it. If you look at the image of the lion, it's power doesn't come from wearing a crown, it comes from itself, from its ability to lead and take control. The lion would still be powerful without a crown. I chose to make the lion's eyes stand out because its strength comes from within, from having a clear vision, which is what any leader needs.
