My Politician Poem.

Leaders, Leaders, Leaders,
'An example to us',
They are the books, while we are the readers,
Then why do they cause such a fuss?
Boris Johnson wanted to close down parliament,
With not a morsel of him caring,
While we just sit and watch him go to a further extent,
What a coat of 'power' he is wearing. ( He is not specifically wearing a coat it just shows he has 'power')
As Donald Trump tweets,
His followers listen,
An Impeachment trial he meets,
Does his reputation still glisten?
With his fingers crossed behind his back,
He tells an untrue tale,
Him being a politician himself, it is honesty he lack(s),
With injustice like that, is Chris Huhne the one we should hail?
(He drove over the speed limit and put the blame on his wife)
A Member of Parliament as she was a Member of Stealing,
Her theft was not very appealing,
For all $4,874 Hazel Blears spent,
A homeless child slept hungry, for every cent. (For all the money she wasted, she could have donated it)
(She spent $400 a month on groceries and the rest on household items.)
John Prescott, a Deputy PM,
A protester thew an egg at him as he threw a punch at them,
Actions say more than your words,
At his role, what he did was quite absurd. (ridiculous)
(As a Prime Minister, assaulting a protester does not show a good example to his followers. It possibly may encourage other protesters to do the same and some followers may look down on him.)
He was young but racist,
Justin Trudeau, the 32nd Prime Minister of Canada,
He committed a deed that is now known by many faces,
However, this was in the past, and is now as old as Attica! (A historical country)
(He wore brown makeup though he was white. However, it was an Arabian-themed party)
'Money grows on trees' if there are any left,
Love is in the air but so is pollution, (Don't focus on finding a soulmate, focus on the ongoing problems on Earth.)
Climate change is making our world its nest, (It is taking over our world; taking a turn for the worse)
By wasting $16,000,000, is that Saad Hariri's solution? (To end climate change)
(The meaning of this stanza is that it was a waste of time for Saad Hariri to spend all of that money on a model instead of improving our environment and many more problems that are ongoing on the Earth. In addition, the meaning of the first line is that if money was to grow on trees, imagine how much would have to be cut to create $16,000,000?)
Leaders, Leaders, Leaders,
'An example to us',
They are the books, while we are the readers, (As you learn from a book, you learn from your Leader)
Then why do they cause such a fuss?

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it. The main purpose of my post is that my point of view on what these politicians have done in a more creative form. I know that I have many questions inside this poem, I deliberately put them in so the reader (you) could put your point of view in the comments! I also will put my opinions about my question as if I put too many explanations it may have spoiled the vibe of the poem. Overall, this poem was to show that politicians choices can have big effects on them and their country. For example, Donald Trump's impeachment trial will lead to America having no President, meaning there will be nobody to make the decisions for America. Who will be able to take his place?

There certainly is many questions in this wide-ranging and thought-provoking poem! We normally discourage poems but there is so much to talk about here we're very happy to approve it. What do other people think - what questions does the poem make them think of, and how would they answer them?

"Does Donald Trump's reputation still glisten?"
In my opinion, NO as to if Donald Trump gets resigned from his position and arrested his country will look down on him as he is getting put in jail when HE is the country's role model, and going on an impeachment trial isn't something that should be mirrored. In addition, if he gets placed in jail there won't be a President to rule over America, then anything could go wrong. Even if he was lucky enough not to be put into jail. Most of America probably will not see him as an irresponsible leader for making such an illogical choice. However, he was never a trained politician. Maybe if Hilary Clinton was elected for President, America's dilemma wouldn't be in this state. Overall, Donald Trump's decision has not made his reputation glisten.

"Is Chris Huhne the one we should hail?"
In my perspective, a good leader doesn't lie -however, lying can be useful as if your too honest, and doesn't say what the crowd doesn't want to hear it could change their way of view on you-. But, the ingredients of being a good leader is honesty; be truthful. So, I am not confident on one side. Overall, I am not sure if we should hail him or not.

In addition, if he put the blame on his wife that shows irresponsibility which is another lack of one of the ingredients, Responsibility. It is also a lack of Justice (another ingredient) as was it fair to put the blame on his wife even though she was innocent. Even though they had planned it, I generally think it is unfair to put the blame on her. Overall, if a good leader does not have these qualities they are not classified a good leader! Overall, we should NOT hail Chris Huhne.

"Is wasting $16,000,000 Saad Hariri's solution to climate change?"
Our current and most serious issue is Global Warming. Australian forest fires are raging recklessly, icebergs are melting which destroys the unique beauty, It destroys the homes of animals. This results in sea levels rising which creates a flood, one may be coming to London. I personally think it was illogical for him to give $16,000,000 to looks but not one cent to lives. I say this as if you love someone, what is the use if your planet is in danger? Hariri was not having integrity; he only gave the model money as she benefitted him. And he calls himself a leader. Overall, I think that Is Hariri's solution as it looks like he wnt be conjuring up another one.

"Why do leaders cause such a fuss?"
In my perspective, it is just power. Power is like a drug, if you have too much of it, you would want more. A little bit similar to Boris Johnson. When he was elected Prime Minister, his confidence boosted. Now that he is at that level, he would want to go higher, which resulted in him asking the Queen to shut down parliament. If it succeeded, he would have thought that he could control the Queen and it could have escalated to something more severe. However, it did not end that way luckily. Another example is John Prescott he had the physical power to assault a protester but that affected him. The similarity between these two examples is that their decisions have side effects. Though there are many different ways you can put it, I personally think this is the main reason.

Chris Huhne did speed but his wife took the blame by choice not Chris blaming her
Chris Huhne's wife took the blame for speeding and took the points, but Chris went to jail. When they divorced, his wife exposed him. Now everyone knows that it was Chris. I learnt about a politician who punched a protester in the face because he threw an egg at his face. A lady who used to work in Labour used £10,000 for her very own furniture she was greedy and selfish. The priminister of Lebanon (Harriri) gave $16.5 million to a South African model, just because he had a relationship. Thank you. Does anyone have any questions?

Good poem, very detailed!
"Is wasting $16,000,000 Saad Hariri's solution to climate change?"
I believe that wasting the money will never help climate change, and I don't believe he was TRYING to solve climate change. I think he was trying to steal the money without anyone knowing.

'Why do they make such a fuss'
My opinion is that the reason they make such a fuss is because they are in charge and if they do not want people to do something then if they delay it they can think of a better back fire. Also the PM do not always actually know what they want. For example Brexit is taking forever because all the PM can not decide on what to do so they just delay it. I really liked the structure of you poem memorable_orchard.

For all $4,874 Hazel Blears spent
My opinion is that she was being greedy from power and that she could of done better things with it such as donating it or buying tents for the homeless family's. So as I conclude for all the points almost all were from power and greed.
It is moreover power that compels people's minds to think that they are capable of anything when actually it really affects others.

great poem I loved it!!!!!

The poem was great, loads of figurative language and brilliant rhyming! Wasting $16,000,000 will never solve climate change. Giving it to the public to get solar panels would be a better idea.

This poem was amazing. I really liked the line were you said 'money grows on trees if there are any left'. This is because if money did grow on trees, there would have to cut down trees in order to get it and trees being cut down not only ruins the wonderful nature but it also causes more pollution and we already have enough problems with climate change that it will just cause me stress. But that line was also talking about how people are spending all the money they earn as if it is easy getting money, and they spend it all for things that sometimes aren't really necessary. They should have at least saved a few pounds to give to people who need it and it may seem like it won't make a difference but to them, it will. At least they wouldn't go that night completely starving. They should really think about things like this.
Good link!
I agree with you. Especially on the part when you said that people spend it on unnecessary things. In 2009, a scandal outbreak occurred where MPs spent the government's money on entities that do not support their job at all. Some including a duck house and even nappies! You could use my post for a link if you want to comment on that Post. Overall, i like your perspective and how you explained it in your mind's eyes.
