Is Boris Johnson the European equivalent of Donald Trump

Politicians and Power - Featured Image 3

In this post we will explore both sides of the argument for “is Boris Johnson, a European equivalent of Donald Trump.” In this post we will be not only stating facts and quotes, we will also be adding in our own opinions at certain points in this article. As we will be expressing our opinion, can you give yours in the comments below and we will try and reply to the ones that we can.

The new PM (Prime Minister) for England is Boris Johnson, one of the many European politicians to be portrayed as a local equivalent of President Donald Trump, (President of the USA). Many believe that these two PMs are very similar. Both of these people are men who act like children. They both lack a fundamentalsense of politics although Boris (as it says in the paragraph below) has more understanding in this field as Johnson has been in politics a lot longer than Trump and Trump was , in a sense, a richy business man that got lucky. In short, Boris Johnson is probablyas close to a European Trump as you can find even though Boris is not as bad as trump and has more sense. Here we shall explore the other side of the argument. Boris Johnson is not England's Donald Trump.

There are of course some differences between these two, man-babies: Trump was actually elected by a much larger percentage of the population than Johnson. He was at least elected by 46.1 % of the voting population and if you understand politics, you would know that is a big win for trump. Johnson is any less a loose cannon than Trump, as he is much more a professional politician. He is also, professionally and socially, fully connected to the British politics. Also while the two share a remarkable amount of political flexibility , Johnson is much more solidly Conservative than Trump is Republican. I don’t think you could get anybody as insane as Donald Trump but if there was a chart on the people going down from Trump, I deduce a european equivalent to Trump (or as close as you can get to one) who probably me Boris Johnson.

Excellent use of statistics and knowledge to support your arguments. I'm interested to know if you can separate the facts in your reasons with the opinions?

I don`t think Boris Johnson is the same as Donald Trump because Donald Trump wants to build "the wall" and not let anyone in the country while Boris Johnson wants to be a good prime minister. I know this because like I said Donald Trump wants to build "the wall" while Boris Johnson wouldn`t do such a thing, but he did ask the queen to prorogue parliament for five weeks.

I think the main difference between the two of them is that, while they both want to do the right thing for their country, Trump is not successful at it. This is because Trump is trying to restrict travel and diversity in his country while Johnson is really trying his best.

I think that Boris Johnson is not the same as Donald trump as Boris sped up Brexit and he is a politician, Boris also doesn't have trumps power, whereas Trump has hurt the country of Iran and is not a politician he is a businessman. these reasons are why I believe Boris and Trump are different people!

The only problem I have with people thinking Boris Johnson is the equivalent with Donald trump is just because the media shows Boris Johnson and Donald Trump as generally not good representatives to there countries but, if you think about the amount of progress with there countries they have achieved then they are really different people to how the media portrays them.
so in conclusion, I think they are completely different people with there own ways of doing things and definitely should not be said as equivalents.

Can you give any examples to explain your point about the progress? That would help to strengthen your reason!

I do see some similarities with Boris Johnson and Donald Trump. They are both quite selfish. Boris Johnson asked the Queen to prorogue parliament, while Donald Trump moreover forced Ukraine to dig out dirty information about an enemy's relative! Mr. Johnson was selfish as he did not ask any of the people that may be affected about their points of view. Mr. Trump was selfish as he did not ask his country whether he should do it or not (as if he was put in jail, it would affect America) but, just like Boris Johnson, only cared about himself and not about others. They both have made disrespectful remarks. Boris even went to the extent for insulting the Queen while on a daily basis, Donald Trump has been making disrespectful comments about women! They also have made ridiculous laws. Donald Trump had one about building a wall while Boris Johnson had one about tea bags!
This is why Boris and Donald are very alike.
