Do you think that under 18s should get the vote? This question is for Dr.Emre
I think Under 18s should be able to vote because their opinion counts as well as adults
I agree because it seems unfair if we can't vote because everyone has an opinion and they might want to share it out &hand how are we ment to do that if we can't vote(I todelly agree)
Most adults are more educated than children though , but both of there opinions are both worthy and everyone deserves to get there opinions heard so I think 15 + should get a vote.
I think they are allowed like the others said.

Questions to Kathryn Stone:
Last September, Boris Johnson was found guilty for unlawfully shutting down parliament for five weeks by the UK supreme court. If you were fully aware that it was illegal to prorogate parliament, could you have had the power to stop Boris from doing so?
How is it that Boris Johnson did not receive any punishment for his actions?
Questions to any of the Experts:
It’s well documented with plenty of evidence to show that Boris Johnson had lied on so many occasions. He even told a bare-faced lie in front of the cameras by casually denying the presence of the media to a father of a sick patient. And, he misinforms important key elements of his Brexit deal by denying the need for custom checks between Britain and Northern Ireland.
So my question is open up to any of the experts:
Why are people voting for leaders, knowing full well they
are liars?
What can we do to put integrity back into politics so people can start to gain some trust for politicians?

29 Jan 2020
My big question is that what will happen next after Brexit? Many people are from Europian countries so does that mean they will get sent back? Have you got anything to say about this? And please say if you have because many people in my class are really worried and don't know what to do.
Thank you.
Determined_orange
Please don't be worried about this. There's lots of advice on gov.uk and your teacher will be able to explain more to you.

This is too inquisitive_editor,]
The reason why you and others can't vote is that us children really don't know much about the social world and how it is meant to work so maybe that is why the government decided that children shouldn't vote. Also, we might not make the correct decisions like grown-ups. But you can be correct in one way because children have opinions and they should let the world know why they thought!
31 Jan 2020
Should all types of people be allowed to vote? This is because there are bad people who are allowed.
01 Feb 2020
Hi Tom,
Just wondering if you think that any of us actually have a chance at being a prime minister if we want when we grow up
Thanks,
happy_fact
I think that's a good question for one of our experts - can you add it as a follow-up to an expert who has already been posted - they might be able to come back on and answer it!

What would happen if there wasn't a speaker in parliament?
02 Feb 2020
My question is how do you handle all of the pressure from the press and media and if you cant how do you cope
03 Feb 2020
I would like to enquire about how you balance the stress, your role and family at the same time without ruining 1 or the other? Also isn't it unfair to give the role of parent or politician less acknowledgement than the other. Because if you focus on 1 role you cant balance the other so I would like to understand key points to balancing both.

Why don’t any of my posts about politics not get aproved
Hi stellar_acorn, we couldn’t approve your last post as it was only one line. We encourage posts that have a point of view backed up with reasons, and include a question as part of that. You’ll see some good examples in our Editors’ Picks!
But I’m not good at politics so I don’t know what to right about

My question is : what did Donald trump actually do to make him go through the impeachment and go to court?
He was peer pressuring Ukraine to dig out dirty information about Donald Trump's political rival's son. Hunter Biden. He misused his power which resulted in him going on an impeachment trial. In the end, he did not go to jail and still carry's to fulfil his dream to make "America great again".
Thank you for that as I was I was confused but now I am not thank you
08 Feb 2020
My question for any upcoming experts is: If political are humans, and are sometimes not role models. Since we are all humans, couldn't we replace them with anyone else?
