Was myanmar better of before Aung San Suu Kyi was free?

Myanmar seems to be a pretty terrible place right now but is it much better than before Aung San Suu Kyi was freed? Expectations haven't been met and if the Rohingya were OK before, maybe she should lose her job?! Personally, she hasn't done anything particularly wrong but maybe her problem is that she's not doing enough? I'm not saying that she should be arrested as that's just cruel but maybe she should be taken from power. How kind is she really? What is she hiding that we don't know? However, we do know that her relationships with the military are not the best- what could that really mean? I would love to hear your opinion.

I agree with you @impartial_panda_bear, she hasn't done anything wrong, so she needn't be arrested, however, I think she should be taken from power as the leader, because she isn't doing anything that makes a difference to the crisis. However, you never know, maybe she is just waiting for the right time to come? I do think her problem is that she isn't doing enough because as I have said in my post, the Myanmarease people are STILL fleeing to Bangladesh in URGENT NEED OF HELP! I don't know, but I don't see THAT changing any time soon unless she (Aung San Suu Kyi, that is) takes over and puts a stop to all this nonsense!

I couldn’t agree with you more! Yes, I guess she may be waiting but in my opinion, she can’t wait much longer. I think this because with everything that’s going on, she doesn’t have much longer to decide wheather she is going to help or not. You also said about Aung San Suu Kyi not being arrested and I totally agree with you (like I said in my post) however I would like to add that maybe it should be used as a threat?!?! No one has to actually do it but something has to be done either way and if she isn’t doing anything, we must use it. You may think I’m being cruel but it’s nothing compared to what is happening to the Rohingya. After all, many people being respected is better than one person getting a threat that wouldn’t even really happen. I don’t know but hopefully I can get some ideas from your comments...
