Should journalists have a point of view.

This is a difficult question to answer. I think everyone has a point of view or an opinion - it is whether or not they should share it that is the question!

In my opinion, journalists should keep their opinions to themselves so they can report on something in an open and unbiased way. As soon as they begin to express their own viewpoint, the facts get lost.

What do you think. Do journalists have a responsibility to remain impartial or it is okay for them to share what they think?

I think journalists should not have a point of view because they can lie if they favouritise what their pint of view is.

Journalists should only share their point of view when they have done immense research on the topic at hand. If they didn't do this it could get them in trouble and the journalists themselves could recieve scrutiny from their readers. Their point of view is for them to talk about with their friends and family, and if they're the ones that are getting interviewed and written about. Keeping their point of view to themselves when writing an article that required little outside research should come with the commitment of being a journalist.

Journalists will obviosly have a point of view and their own opinion just like everyone else but it is their job to release their thoughts officially. They deffinitaly have that rights to have an opinion and tell them. Acording to me, journalist's thoughts might actually help an investigation just like others opinions can give leading clues. And as a journalists they might view a situation live or examine different thoughts with others therefore it is ok to share ideas and have equal rights as this is helpful.

So, why should they keep to themselves? It seems a bit unfair.
