should the British intervene in the Hong Kong

Dear James Cleverly

I am a Year 5 student at Lyons Hall. I am writing to you because we need to do something about the Hong Kong crisis.

The current situation is that hundreds of people have been out on the streets arguing about democracy. For example, people like booksellers are disappearing and then reappearing in Chinese prisons. So, I think we should help and free the people of Hong Kong. My final decision is that Britain should intervene.

Hong Kong didn’t get to vote for a leader and China appointed one instead (Carrie Lam). China are removing members of parliament.

Some people may disagree with me, but that’s their opinion.
