Dear Mr Gove
I am a year 6 student from Hammond Junior School in lightwater , surrey which is apart of your constituency in Surrey Heath.I am writing to you in regards of the Hong Kong crisis recently Hong Kong citizens have been protesting due to China trying to impose new rules in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong crisis is starting to get out of hand however I don't think we should intervene interfenbecause of several reasons. one of the reasons is that China is a big trading partner for Britain .In 2016 Britain imported £42.6 billion. Worth s of goods from China and if we interfene the might stop all of the trading we have with them. We also signed of the sino-British declaration until 2047 so i don't think we should do anything until 2047.
The biggest reason I don't think we should intervene is because China has one of the biggest army's in the world therefore if we intervene China could destroy all of our forces. The Hong Kongers see themselves as seperate from China. They do not see themselves as chinese citizens.
I don't think we should intervene however I do think that if it gets worse then we might have to intervene because Hong Kong say that they couldn't rely on China so they have to rely on Britain. The other reason is because if China decide to bring in there forces.
In conclusion I don't think we should intervene however if it gets worse then we might have to consider intervening.
Your Sincerley excellent_tambourine
