Dear Harriet

My name is honorable_meerkat and i'm in the Burnet news club .I am going to inform you about the Hong Kong crisis that is happening at this very moment.

Firstly, as you might know Hong Kong was ruled by Britain and was handed back to china in 1997. They made an agreement that was the one country two system. Now China has made a new law that the Hong Kongers are not happy about. This has made them angry and they are marching with violent protests . This gets worse and worse everyday. Britain has to make an act to stop this. If Britain intervene this will really help them. As well as giving them the freedom they need. So we need to act before this gets any further

I disagree with you because if Britain step in this will trigger the beginning of World War 3 and with the China's military forces that will be a massive problem. China has one of the largest military force ever since the British Empire had stopped. This is why Britain should get involved and focus on Brexit which is coming up in a few days.

Although China broke their promise we should leave them to be gentlemen and sort this out themselves instead of us starting another World War. If we were not focusing on Brexit what would happen to Boris Johnson our current Prime Minister. It would blow our minds if Boris Johnson got fired that quick.

Why would China want to start a war? What would their motivation be? Do you think this is an assumption, or a suggestion made based on fact?

I disagree with you because China has broken their promise on the one country two system. How can Britain and China have a world war lll if Britain intervene to help them?
