Dear Helen Jones
I am writing to you because there is a crisis in Hong Kong.
99.9% of the time people are found guilty in court that is only one of the reasons that people are protesting against the government and China. Another reason is China’s leader was elected but has turned into a dictatorship.
In 1997 when England gave Hong Kong back to China, China didn’t follow the rules we gave them to let citizens of Hong Kong have basic human rights. China pretended to agree but slowly over time took away the people’s rights and as a result they have been protesting. China of course did not like this. China has started to shoot rubber bullets injuring the protesters.
I want England to stand up for Hong Kong.
