A letter to Mr Gove - Final Piece

Thursday 24th October 2019

Dear Mr Gove

I am writing to because of the Hong Kong Crisis and I am a year 6 student at Hammond School . However , I have learnt a lot a about its Crisis .

As you can see above the situation in Hong Kong is completely out of hand ! However, in my opinion I think we should not interfere . you are probably wondering why we should not intervene because we would lose all of our farming products and other resources ; Britain and China work very closely together for years . Also , if we bother them to much they might start a world war 3 and if you did not know China have the biggest army in the world ! and we have a lot less than China. We are also dealing with Brexit at the moment and we can not handle both at the moment .

As I also said in the last paragraph we are dealing with Brexit we wont be able to handle Hong Kong to. However China is an impornt trading partner with Britain , In 2016 Britain imported £ 42.6 billon worth of goods from China. In the history, Hong Kong was ruled by Britain for about 150 years and has shared history for a long time. Furthermore, the agreement that was signed, China and Britain both promised to make sure that the way of life and economy in Hong Kong remained unchanged until 2047.

Finally, most people identify themselves from Hong Kong, not China. 71% identify as not proud to be from China. I strongly disagree to intervene because China are very friendly to the UK so we can not be rude back.

In conclusion, it is very clear that intervening is a very bad thing in the Hong Kong Crisis because China have a huge amount of people in their army in comparison to British army. I am surely positive you might not want that to happen. As a member of parliament, it is your responsibility to keep us away from danger. Therefore, I respect you can take as long to reply to this letter.

I dearly appreciate that you have take your time to reading this letter and I dearly hope you respond.

Yours Sincerely

Friendly_twilight
