Dear Mr Gove,
I am a year 6 student at Hammond Junior School in Lightwater,Surrey, which is part of your constitiuency in Surrey Heath. I am writing to you with regards to the terrible political crisis in Hong Kong and I strongly believe that we should intervene to help. However, I would not like a war to start between Britain and China because i believe we have a strong realationship with them.
China has a policy of not interfering in the problems of other countries. As you can see from above, the situation in Hong Kong is out of hand, Hong Kongers believe human rights should be protected but just because we have Brexit on our hands does not mean we should not intervene.
Most people say they are from Hong Kong because they are ashamed to be Chinese. In 2014, a quater of Hong Kong population took part in one of the marches. When Camie Lam called off the deal people still poured on to the streets but now the protests were about freedom and democracy.
In conclusion, we should intervene because even though we have Brexit does not mean we cannot help them. China has the biggest army in the world meaning that they could beat us.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I hope to hear a response at your earliest convenience.
Yours sincerely,
