Dear Mr Gove
I am a year 6 student at Hammond junior School in Lightwater Surrey, which is part of your constituency in Surrey Heath. I am writing to you with regards to the terrible political crisis that is currently going on in Hong Kong. I'm sure you will agree, that a resolution to the situation must be found as soon as possible as many innocent people are suffering. I strongly believe, that it is our responsibility to intervene and help the residents of Hong Kong return to a state of peace free of China's unlawful influence.
Britain should intervene because ever since China and Hong Kong agreed to the one country two system deal some authors have been missing and then some reappeared in a jail in China. Some people are not agreeing to the one country two system, so we should intervene and help. It is not fair because China are happy that they are taking control and they are not letting Hong Kongers speak for themselves and have a chacne to talk for the country.
To conclude, if we fight and win, we will have all their resources and then Hong Kong will have freedom again. In the 1800s China lost a series of wars against Britain, so we should win if we tried again. If there was the one country two systems deal, shouldn't China have one system and Hong Kong have a different one ? Therefore, China should not be taking over Hong Kong. Recently, China has been criticised for not giving people human rights. If we intervene, Hong Kong will be allowed to speak for themselves and have freedom.
Yours sincerely,
