Dear Mr Gove
I am a student at Hammond Junior School in Lightwater, Surrey, which is part of your constituency in Surrey Heath. I am writing to you with regards to the terrible political crisis that is currently going on in Hong Kong. I am sure you will agree that England should intervene with the argument between Hong Kong and China because Hong Kong was ruled by the British as a conlony for around 150 years and they have shared history .
Firstly, I think Hong Kong should have their freedom because in China you can be put in jail for criticising the goverment for campaigning for human rights. Furthermore, China has the bigiset army in the world so if we intervene we can help China to stop arguing with Hong Kong.
Secondly, Hong Kong is defenceless, so if England steps in it will be resolved and infact 119,900 people who were born in Hong Kong now live in Britain.
In conclusion, it is time for Hong Kong to have their freedom from China.
Thank you for having the time to listen.
Yours sincerely

This piece has really changed my mind about things, I used to think that we shouldn't get too involved because we don't want China's army on us but I think we should help now.
