Hello my name is Oscar and I work for Economist News and I'm going to be talking about the future of work. I am focussing on 3 differant subjects: gig economy, remote working and automation. Today we're focussing on automation. Automation is when robots or computers take over a human job.
Automation can create many problems: Making people redundant, taking over low-payed workers and removing human interaction. But it also can create many oppotunities: robots can't catch Covid-19, they will work at the same rate all the time (not lazy) and their work is consistent.
Due to the pandemic people had to adapt to using more automation and working from home. This has been positive and negitive but it is defenatly the future of work!
Thank you for reading😋
