Should the government pay the NHS more money?

NHS Health care Featured Image 1

I think there is to different view points to this post because if the NHS got more money off the government then other company’s that help us in life will get less money and less workers so you could be on a waiting list for hours because they can’t get round to everyone and it would take time with only a few workers

OTHER VIEWPOINT

The other viewpoint is that if the NHS did get paid more by the government they would be more succesful, and that means more workers because you want to get a lot of money in life you have got to get a job that gives you a lot of money for working. The NHS would have more workers so more people can be cared for. Also the NHS can get an upgrade in there systems to make it easier and quicker to get cared for. This could also help with finding a cure for the Coronavirus, making it hard to spread. Also some people think the NHS is a waste but think of how many lives its saved. Some other things should be paid more to help the earth like Environment they only get 2 percent of taxes! Education, if they got more money we would be very smart and very well educated.

What would be some of the challenges of giving the NHS more money? Where would this come from?

The money would come from taxes that we pay. I think that there percentage should be raised from 20 to maybe 27 because more lives can be saved quicker. This would also help the UK defeat the coronavirus because they would have more workers like I said in my post. With more workers it will be easier to find a cure. All I'm really saying is that if the money they get paid from the government raised they would be more successful, they could upgrade their systems and help and care for more people. They could get more coronavirus tests so they don't need to worry about running out if they do run out then it will be more risky for them and us! That's why the NHS need a raise.

This is an interesting suggestion - do you think the general public would support an increase from 20% to 27% tax?

I think some will understand that healthcare needs a raise at this time (because of Coronavirus) it will help upgrade systems and that could help putting a stop to the Coronavirus.

The people who don’t understand there probably thinking it should stay the same because it means other things might go down. I understand if it is something they work for or even just enjoy. But what they don’t know is that is helping our country it can’t just be about one person and it’s not what you want it’s what you need, what we need.

People who going over the top are people who think healthcare should be about 75 percent. This means that other things would have to share 25 percent! Even the big things that we need in life. That could make the world terrible because what about the dentist they would only look at your teeth and then you could go even if you have something wrong with them and that’s why it could ruin the world.

while I agree with some of the points in your post I don't know how good it would be for the people. The money that goes towards the NHS comes from our taxes and right now people are losing their jobs so it's going to be even harder for them to pay their taxes. by taking more money from the people you're putting them at more risk. people are already struggling to pay taxes and while I agree it would definitely improve healthcare it wouldn't benefit the people.

While I agree with some of your points also, I think taxing certain jobs more would be a good idea. People should be taxed more, if they are paid more. For example footballers and movie stars. Should be taxed a higher percent than others who don't make as much.

I think the NHS should be paid more money from the government. All of the government's 'money' comes from people's taxes. However, if 2% of the government's 'money' goes to the environment, and 12% is spent on education, that leaves 86% left for other things. Since the NHS generally helps us to do anything at all, the government should raise the percentage of 20% to 50%, so fewer lives are lost due to the lack of equipment (especially beds!). In addition to my point made, the government should pay the NHS more money as if they don't have enough money for beds the patient could develop more illnesses like pneumonia and if the patient dies if the NHS ran out of money to buy more medicines due to the government's doings... That is classified as manslaughter, which is against the law and it wouldn't look good on the government if the law-makers were now seen as law-breakers! Therefore, that is why the government should pay the NHS more money as there is a possibility that they can die. Another reason why I think the NHS should earn more money from the government as it would still be beneficial for them because the more money they give to the NHS, the more people they can hire, meaning more people pay income tax which then comes backs to them in a double amount and they get a good reputation as the public will notice the improvement of the NHS's staff. Since equality is a human right, everybody should be able to undergo the same things, so it isn't unfair for others. Some people go through too much stress and it can make them develop mental health problems such as anxiety, PTSD and they can have panic attacks. For things to go smoothly, nurses and doctors can't have panic attacks as if a doctor were to be performing surgery and had a major panic attack, the patient's life Is still on the line and with the stress, the NHS is experiencing, they can't simultaneously be taking care of a doctor and a patient simultaneously. Some health disorders like PTSD includes difficult sleeping and when someone doesn't have enough sleep, they would need more breaks and more support and possibly they would be more aggressive to others due to the lack of sleep they are having. Therefore, I am concluding that the NHS should be paid more money from the government.

I believe that the NHS do need more money so we need to do something about it and yes the government should be trying to help. I believe that if the government give percentage of our tax to the NHS then it would be very good because the people who are paying their taxes are not grumpy because they don’t actually have to spend any mor3 money they are just using percentage of the tax money ( which they usually pay anyway ) for a good cause. If the government are not happy about this idea then I believe there is other ways. Such as, I think that we could get shops to have a charity pot where people could maybe and kindly donate some spare change. Obviously if we did have to use the charity pot in shops idea then it would raise less money but I am sure that any little bit of money would help and they would be great full for. If this also didn’t work then maybe parliament could get involved and they could arrange a general election on whether we could raise the taxes up to just 5p more as I am sure that people will not be grumpy just paying 5p more and again ounce everyone has paid just 5p more then the total will be bigger and the NHS will have more money. What do you think? Do you think giving percentage of our taxes to the NHS would help and work?

Yes they should be paid more because they put their lives on risk trying to save peoples lives. Their job is very risky as they can get sick from the sick people when saving their lifes. Nobody else can do that exept the NHS. thats why they deserve a lot of respect.
