Are people coming together more during isolation?

Most people would think that being in lockdown would make us more isolated, but I think we are coming together more and here’s why:

Lots of youtubers are doing free sessions online like, P.E, singing, dancing, music, mindfulness and lots more. Even though you are at home I think its nice knowing that you are doing a session with thousands of other people too which makes you feel like a part of something. People are also helping each other by going shopping for them or dropping off some food which I think is very nice considering the time we are in which means people are being more giving. Did you know that lots of high schools are giving up their resources to help the NHS and lots of science teachers are helping them too. Some companies are even helping each other (even though they normally wouldn’t) like Mercedes, they are making ventilators for the NHS too.

Even though I am at home, I still feel connected to my teachers because they have made a YouTube channel and they are currently reading Harry Potter and the philosophers stone which I think is very nice ( and, as a bonus you get to see a part of their house!) I think its not just the country coming together it’s the world too! Lots of people are being more kind to others and it makes everyone a bit happier in this crisis and everyone is thinking of each other more, it encourages people to be giving to others

The Queen did her speech last night to the nation and she was making key points about how people staying in their houses are doing a nice thing to the people who have lost loved ones to this disease. She even made a point about how the world is uniting because we are all stuck in this together.

A very thoughtful post, reliable_fig! Do we think people will stay more connected after the lockdown finishes?

I think people are coming together in isolation, because Covid 19 has separated use from our friends and are destroying our life's. By taking our friends and relatives and the only way we can see them, talk to them and just have a laugh with them. So people are making the effort to talk to each other online with face time, zoom and house party. When this is all over I think people will stay more connected because this will change us for ever.
So I think people will be more kinder and stay more connected.
    stay home and be happy😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Hi Tom, I wrote my comment on here because I didn't know where else to put it. Someone has been on my account and written 2 comments. One is the first comment on the competition, and the other one was a little while ago, they signed in as me (reliable_fig), replied to my comment and wrote: thanks for the great inspiration reliable_fig. what shall I do? I think it was someone from my class as we all have the same password. I don't know if they are going to do it again.
    thank you,

Hi reliable_fig, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll look into those comments and delete them, but my advice would be to tell your teacher.

    Lockdown
Although lockdown has been tough, we have all got this far so we can carry on until the end. At the start of lockdown, I thought that it would be the most boring and eventless period of my lifetime, however, really it was a great opportunity to see my family more often and appreciate the great wildlife more than we usually do such as going on more walks and visiting rivers to play in. I am enjoying working at home but can’t wait to go back to school altogether for our last day! We have just found out that we will all be going back in for one last day next week! U am so excited for this because we haven’t seen each other altogether for 4 months! I can’t wait to go to secondary school either! It will be fun to meet new friends and do lessons that we have never done before. I really want to join all the sports teams because I am a super sporty person. Everyone a Lyons Hall will be missed but I will never forget any of you! You will always have a place in my heart! Thank you everyone!
    Thanks for reading!
