What is a financial crisis and what caused it?

What caused the financial crisis?

Many were spending a whole lot of money and it came to a point where they all ran out. A whopping 15 billion pounds was spent during the crisis! This then lent to people losing their homes and jobs. 30,000-40,000 suicide attempts were found during this sorrowful event.

Did this happen to one country or was it a worldwide experience?

It happened to the whole planet, giving many people a tragic life experience.

What impact did it have on citizens around the world?

This affected many people because it didn't allow them to go on and have the food, home, job and lifestyle they once had. Many we left homeless and some were starved or killed to death. We all know how people starved to death, (No food) but how did people get killed to death? Well, it all starts off with doctors. Some may have had ill children, or may have been ill themselves. The other way of being killed to death is alcoholism. Lots of people aged 18 or over would take a shot of alcohol, whether it be beer or wine, a cigarette or two, or even a dose of drugs and anti-biotics they weren't prescripted by their doctor to take. The reason to this is that they would've thought it made them feel better. They may have felt good on the outside, but really, it's damaging their health, brain and lungs (cigarettes).

This is the story of the financial crisis.

    Hi Industrious_squirrel,

Welcome to the Hub! You don't need to write your Hub Handle or school, the site will automatically do that for when you post or comment.

It looks like you did some good research at the start of your post.

I found the suicide information here:
    https://www.theguardian.com/society/2015/nov/12/austerity-a-factor-in-rising-suicide-rate-among-uk-men-study
You must add where you get your information from in your posts.

You should also challenge some of the information you have given. Is there evidence that people starved to death because of the crisis? Also, whilst your summary of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes being bad for health is accurate, it doesn't seem directly relevant to this issue.

Well, I think it is quite relevant because it happened globally and some countries don't get their medications for free so they wouldn't have known not to take drugs, alcohol and cigarettes since they have no money to go to the doctors. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just think a different opinion than you do. Thanks for giving me the advice to paste the information, Tiff :3
