Did the Summer heatwave affect prices for food?

We have just experienced the highest tempratured summer for Decades!
Don't just think that weather just effect us and the 'typical' trees.
Think about the farmers: they work so hard to grow crops for the public to eat. The heatwave have changed farms, burning all their crops and not allowing crops to grow. The farmers still give the few bits to the shops on ONE CONDITION; the prices have to RISE. Forget about 'the price crunch' at Morrisons!
THE PRICES RISE BECAUSE IF THERE ISN'T A LOT OF IT IT'S KIND OF LIKE AN ANTIUQUE WHICH MAKES THE PRICES HIGHER.

IT ALSO MAKE BUSINESSES CRASH BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO BUY DON'T COME ANYMORE BECAUSE THE PRICES ARE TOO HIGH AND THERE ARE OTHER SHOPS WITH CHEAPER PRICES.
PLEASE comment on this post and if you're shopping, maybe try and be the judge and check the item prices and see if they're expensive for the capacity and quality of the item; maybe the heatwave affected it's price.

Good curiosity skill- linking the environment to the economy. What can businesses and the government do to prevent this?

There is nothing the government can do but they can do something to help stop it deteriorating. If they can stop Climate Change getting worse then heat-waves can't get worse but Climate Change is an international problem so this is a case that the U.N can help with.

They can prevent this by growing more plants and maybe even crops in greenhouses and then control the temperature so they don't get destroyed in a heatwave.
