I am a student from outside the United Kingdom, I am from Palestine, specifically the Gaza Strip. We here in Gaza are not exposed to extreme weather, except rarely. Therefore, I am curious about knowing all information about severe weather, its forms, places of occurrence, times of occurrence, damages, its benefits and I also benefited from it in knowing how Dealing with extreme weather as we are currently experiencing a severe heat wave and also enjoyed sharing my opinion with students from different countries of the world and with experts also really is a wonderful thing. Also, I was able to take advantage of the English language to communicate and know the importance of it, as well as I gained information and discussed issues that are not only related to extreme weather, but also about the Corona virus and other crises. Really, I am happy to be part of the program and sad because it will be over soon.

Hi, I’m jolly_chocolate from Ghana, participating in this this club help me a lot. This club made me learn more about extreme weather it’s effects, impacts and many more. Now I know that flooding is caused by the improper planning settlement of the particular place. And it has many impacts such as destruction of homes, destruction of vegetation, livestock, livelihoods, and most of all loss of human lives. I’ve learnt more from this club. Thank you for initiating this club, it has helped me in many ways.

Iam a student from Palistaine. l would like to share my opinion on my exerience with this project . I learnd that we must unleash our thoughts of our ideas and our imagination and go far.
I also learned that we must be optimistic and look at life from all angles and to see things with a good eye .we have to criticize Bei open .i learned to analyze and not to be bound . I learned to look at the pros and cons of the thing .for example, corona but has drawbacks in terms of deaths and injuries,economics,etc..
As it has many negative aspects, but this dose not mean that it has no positives , as the ozone hole is close to closing and will disappear due to the decrease in global warming and the proportion of pollution in the world.
Igreet you for this wonderful effort.

I have found this conversation educative I now know how some of the extreme weathers can be handled. I learnt so many things that could cause extreme weathers and that was impressive to me. I liked how the Experts answered our questions and asking us questions that really have made me think critically in a sincere way. I would thank them for there good work. I also loved how my fellow students from various parts of the world responded to my comments and as well others comments. This conversation has really helped me in some ways and to even develop my skills of speaking up reasoning and many other

I am quick witted piano from Kenya and since I joined this forrum I have learned many things. Including how to give ones ideas and thoughts and even appreciating people ideas and thoughts. Secondly on how extreme weather affects our world and how we should try to control it and how to be a positive thinker with everything even if it looks to have no positive sides. Thirdly is on how we must research on things that we can help our world on the dangers affecting them.

The Global Conversation Program is one of the most beautiful programs that I participated in and was deeply influenced by. I heard the opinions of many people from different countries of the world. I expressed my opinion. I have learned to accept others' opinions and to be non-fanatic of my opinion. I learned the language of written dialogue. I have a lot of information on various topics. Make me a junior teacher who works to improve behavior and manage the situation in light of changing circumstances. I have more self-confidence, expanded my intellectual language and mental skills, made me more loving and passionate about reading, which is my mental food, and I have a group of friends
I teach at Beit Hanoun Preparatory School for Girls. I live in the Gaza strip.

I am a student from outside the United States, but in this program I felt as if I was in the United States where I was speaking English better than I was before because I am from an Arab country and I also learned how to ask questions and learned a lot about how to use the veto for something wrong without To feel shy or anxious, and I learned a lot about extreme weather because I am in a city where nothing happens, so I didn't know anything about it and learned that I had to discuss the issues that happen in the world to be part of this world.
Really, I liked this thing and I am very sad to finish the program.

I'm Delightful_snow and I am outside the UK. When I heard my teacher talking to my mother saying that I was chosen by the experts of the BNC, I was very happy. When we started discussing the first I saw that this discussing, asking and sharing answers was fun. I loved writing posts, comments and having a star. I loved the quizzes and polls. But now I am very sad to hear the Global Conversation is over in the month of June.
So if the Global Conversation is over, next year you will look for other students in another countries. I'm really sad.
Yes, there will be another Global Conversation next year, so make sure you tell your teacher if you would like to take part!
This is really cool. Make sure I'll tell my teacher right away
I will make sure I will tell my teacher right away.

I am ordu peculiar from Nigeria. Acmgs is my school. I am so delighted that I am part of this global conversation because this conversation has thought me many things that I wasn't aware of before. Especially in the aspect of weather conditions. I also enjoyed sharing my own opinion with other people and what I also learnt from it. It is really an honour for being part of this.
Gladly, I like this.
20 May 2020
It has been a nice experience being on the hub. A lot of benefits have been received. It has improved my vocabulary because it offered me the opportunity to read widely, doing a lot of research. It has really enhanced my understanding on extreme weather conditions. My time at home has never been wasted at all. The amazing part of it is sitting at the comfort of my house communicating with many young people across the globe. Oh, how I wish this continues forever.
20 May 2020
I am a student from kenya and for sure we here in kenya we consider ourselves lucky because despite having troubles here and there with floods and this great pandemic of coronavirus, I am really surprised to see people in other countries facing much more extreme weather conditions and disasters like wild fires in Australia and the hurricane in the US. I really hope that the world leaders would come up with a solution one day and make our world a better place to stay in. Thank you a lot it was much fun to participate.

Hello, I am a student from outside the United States, specifically, I am from Palestine. My experience in this project was the first experience that I associate in this way with the outside world. For me, my awareness increased in many matters, but I learned from him a lot of useful information and I saw a different way of thinking from several other countries. I learned critical thinking. Dialogue and accepting the opinions of others, we in Palestine were not the subject of extreme weather is not included in its discussion, but now, thanks to this project, I can benefit everyone around me and discuss them on topics that were difficult for me to engage in a discussion, in addition to this project made me unleash my thoughts
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project ..
Please accept my regards
I am pleased to hear it had a positive impact!

I'm cheerful_region from Ghana .Since the day I began taking part in this global conversation, I've had great experiences through this. Though I've experienced extreme weather events, this has been a great opportunity for me to learning more about extreme weather events , it has also shaped my way of thinking and abilities also I've adopted the skill scepticism. It has also paved way for students all over the world to share thoughts freely. I'm now bold to say that I've been changed from worse to better.
I hope friends who have also taken part in this global conversation have also benefited positively from it and also hope every student online and new students would be able to take part in next year's programme .
Special thanks to BNC for this wonderful opportunity to students around the globe and hope next year's conversation would be more educative.
21 May 2020
I study at Rimal prep Girls School C and live in Palestine specifically Gaza.
Yes, I enjoyed and learned many things about the severe weather.
One of the things I like about global conversation is exchanging opinions around the world and learning from other students from different countries.
When you write a story, people must accept it in order to accept it. Logic must be spoken. Evidence must be put in place to prove the news.
My knowledge of extreme weather has been much more than what I know.
I think it is very useful for young people because educational websites help some young people to strengthen their language and get help from students and specialists.
Help me learn employee comments and notes, and chat with students around the world and their comments too.
To increase their knowledge and take some news from people and also increase his knowledge of the comments from all over the world .
Add more students and increase interaction with students .
I want to add something, thanks for everything .
In the end, I want to say that global conversation is an important thing for all students because they can learn and consult and increase their confidence in themselves and also allow people with different perspectives on a specific topic to learn with each other and it is an element of success and also helps to form relationships such as friendship and learning and It helps to increase knowledge and science all over the world.
THANKS ...

Hi, this is serious_fruit from Ghana. Infact, joining the Global Conversation at the BNC has really raised my confidence level. It seems as though I have travelled to those countries where other club members come from. But in actual fact I have never travelled outside my country Ghana. It has given me the opportunity to share ideas with others on an issue that affects all of us. This has taught me to be mindful of our actions since it can have an adverse effect on others elsewhere.
21 May 2020
I'm a student from the Gaza strip in Palestine .I'm very happy and proud of this chance .I learned too much about the climate .I improved my English skills.I knew much a bout countries here from friends .I made new friends .In Gaza we rarely see sever weather we have medium climate the sea makes our climate wonderful. Here I knew about storms , hurricane and tornadoes. This increases my knowledge and respect for Allah the creator of the universe.

I am credibal_football , a student at Irene School in Kenya ,Samburu County . I am humbled to be part of this incredible platform where I have learnt a lot about so many things . Not only on Extreme weather but also being open minded and also being able to put myself in every situation that was posted in order to think critically and speak my point of view . Thank you so much to our experts for answering all our questions clearly through this I was able to dwell on facts and not assumptions . I am also thankful because it was because of this platform that I am able to act and react to situations on extreme weather for example floods. In that one has to plan on what to do at the moment and what should be done after a certain period of time. I got a chance to think of what to do during this pandemic at the moment and also learnt in some ways we are not equally affected with the pandemic . Last but not least I have learnt how different governments in different countries take responsibilities to handle situation especially during this time of corona virus . Thank you to all who participated differently and sharing your experiences. I will miss this platform.

The Global Conversation Program is one of the most beautiful experiences I have had that made me in touch with the outside world and of course its benefits will vary from student to student. On a personal level, it had a great impact on me and my daily life and made me bolder in presenting my opinion and more openness and curiosity to know other new information and helps me to speak English because I am Arabic. Creative thinking grew to find new ideas and made me love to listen to other people's opinions to know their views and way of thinking and get to know their creative ideas.
Then I realized the importance of the difference between people in producing creativity and success, and gave me a lot of information about extreme weather and made me able to talk about this problem fluently and confidently, and I also noticed something when knowing opinions from others we must explain and understand them because I think this method helps to convince their opinions . And most of all, he made my mom, my family, my teacher and my school proud of me and feel that I am an active element in society and I have my own cosplay, and I hope there will be a global conversation next year.
Genuine-tornado👍👌😊👍👌😊
That is good.

The hub turned into i a genuine source of information. Am not into copy and paste that's why i used my own words to post, comment or compete and I realized that those who manage this hub valued my participation which shows they are really professional and distinguish individual work. This made me more motivated and helped me reason, question, justify my opinion and listen to others respectfully which shaped my way of thinking. I hope this type of learning will carry on. Am thankful.
Be more creative.
Participants need empathy, valuing their contribution and positive feedback, Using the imperative and giving order may not help and may lead to rejection. Here we are learning essential skills and one of them is motivating others not intimidating them. Thank you for your understanding
i am so sorry if i offended you in any way friend please forgive

Hello,I'm lovable agency from Ghana and I'm glad I participated in the global conversation.as for me I didn't knew it would be so fun.so far what I've learnt from the hub is extreme weather because in Ghana I didn't heard anything about the word 'extreme weather' because it was not really common and what I usually here is flood has occurred here and there but I didn't know it was a severe problem facing other countries in the world.again what I've learnt in this project is "knowledge".this is because in the comments of participants such as determined_world, delightful_snow, versatile_molecule I've seen how they tackle questions and the kind of English words they use and I believe this would help me next year in this project if it is available.
Thanks and I hope this hub will improve and become the best hub for students around the world.

26 May 2020
Hi, I joined the hub after my friends and after fixing my home internet, I heard a lot from my classmates who were participating in the project. I understood things when my teacher me the pdf documents of the topic. But honestly I learned a lot after following the steps and seeing the interaction between pupils around the world. I liked the replies from the Economist and also from the experts, they helped all of us think more and not just write things we like. It wasn't easy at first for me to write something but after discussing the topic with my teacher and my classmates I started typing things here. We were happy when one of us gets a star so it was like a competition but also we did it to make our school a good one among the other schools. I wished that we learned things in our real classroom but there was the lockdown so it was remote but our teacher made it very interactive for us and the resources from the Burnet news club were interesting. I learned a lot and i hope more international learning. Am thankful and I hope the British council will give us this chance again.

Hi, I am effervescent_camel, from Nigeria. This is my first time on the Hub and through this project I've been able to learn alot on weather hazards. Though in my country we only have a handful of these extreme weather events, it has been able to teach alot about what other people face in their own countries. Although I was having some network issues because I was learning from home due to the lockdown which did not allow me to fully participate in the online conversations, I have still been able to learn alot of things. I just can't wait for the next edition of this Hub so that I'll be able to learn more. And I also hope that I'll be able to participate in the next one.

I am a student from outside Britain, precisely from Palestine, Gaza. This club helped me to know the harsh weather and its effects. We in Gaza are not exposed to any extreme events, so I do not have enough information about it and how to survive it, but this club made me search a lot about this issue and learned a lot and this club helped me In many ways.

Hi,I'm amazing_deer from Ghana and i have really enjoyed taking part in this club, I've got to know that in my home town North America, bush fire didn't occur because they have stop burning bushes. My mother told me that when the sun is scotching and you make an attempt to burn your farm it can easily attract to some body's plot. I've also learnt how to answer question and make decision in the club. I believed in God that this club will be the best club in whole wold.

Hi, am honest_sea from Ghana, it has been a pleasure working with other people from other countries. This program have helped many people especially me, when I was starting this program at first, someone from another country will ask me a question from my comment and I will be like is the question for me or what? because at first my vocabulary wasn't that perfect but now , when l make a comment I will be sitting by my device waiting for someone to ask me a question. I thank God and the creators of this program. Please in my country most people are illiterate so i suggest that if we are able to invite many people to this program, it will be very great for people who can't get access to education.
Thank you.

*IMPORTANT*
Olivia,
On competition #37- One Change To Keep, you commented on my sumbittion. I tried to reply with the answer I spent working four hours on, however, once sumbitted it took me to my BNC profile. I scoured the competition to find my reply, only to find it wasn't sumbitted as the competition had shut. Finding no other way to submit it, here is my answer:
''More Animals Return
I would like this change to remain in place. To enable this, it will require other changes.
Right now, some animals are returning to their original homes partly due to the decrease in pollution and clearer skies. Before lockdown, these were aggravated by travel.
With a reduction in climate change, some animals will permanently return to their original homes, bringing back endangered species and ensuring sunnier weather.
Also, keeping ourselves healthy and sanitised is just common sense.''
I hope you will still recieve my answer,
fulfilled_starfruit.
Thank you for this, fulfilled_starfruit. I see you had already entered and Olivia asked you to pick one from your list, so I'm glad you have. Well done.

I am a student from outside Britain and i would love to thank you for creating such a wonderful learning platform.
This was really an eye opener. It helped me and many others focus more on weather and more importantly the extreme weather. I never knew how it affects us and other people but now i even know measures that we can take to deal with extreme weather.
Thank you so much.

I am very happy and proud to join this project,
I benefited a lot from the information on extreme weather and also got acquainted with the types I had not previously seen in my city and learned a lot of things, for example in terms of how to behave with extreme weather ,, I was also happy to discuss with colleagues from all over the world, and my skills improved greatly.
Thanks to the website's pioneers, because we enjoyed learning a lot of things . We also spent a wonderful time on this site during the crisis the world is going through.

am a student from outside the United States, I really benefited from this program, I learned how to give my opinion clearly, I learned to give a critical opinion politely, so that my English language improved because I am from an Arab city, I became a person thinking positively who can give solutions to problems, I became an important person in This world, and I have also been communicating with students outside of my city. It is a beautiful thing. How much I wish I had known the global conversation before. I have a question. When the program ends, can I join other similar programs? Because I liked the global conversation.
We'll be running another Global Conversation project next year!

I am a student from Britain, but I would still like to share my views. I think the NHS are doing a great job, and they should carry on being brilliant! But some people think different, because of something silly like they have a relative who was treated by someone else. I super duper 100% hope that the NHS will keep saving lives! If anybody from the NHS ( which is quite unlikely) I want you to know I'm right behind you!!!!
