What is the most dangerous severe weather?
The weather varies, but climate change affects the frequencies with which particular weather occurs, including the frequencies of extreme weather, such as heavy storms, heat waves, and droughts. More frequent weather extremes will underlie the most serious physical and economic effects of climate change.
What is the most dangerous severe weather?
The largest number of reported injuries resulted from heat waves, winter weather, and high winds including thunderstorm winds. The most deadly weather events in the United States over the past five years include Hurricane Irma, wild fires in California, and Hurricane Harvey.
What is the most severe weather?
High winds, hail, excessive precipitation, and wildfires are forms and effects of severe weather, as are thunderstorms, downbursts, tornadoes, waterspouts, tropical cyclones, and extratropical cyclones. I think the most dangerous weather change is earthquake. Because once the earthquake occurs in a certain area obviously it will affect that part by destroying the building and so many resources. It can also cause death to people and animals.

Thanks for this really thoughtful post Enchanted Economics. You've given some examples of types of weather that can be dangerous because they cause people to be injured or die at the time. Can you think of some other ways that weather can be dangerous?

Really impressive and informative

I think that drought is the most dangerous because it mainly affects how the people survive by destroying the people's properties and animals.
I agree with you
Thanks for your agreement.

Earlier on, I used to think that tornadoes and tsunamis were most dangerous, but now, after taking a closer look, I have found myself thinking that droughts are dangerous too. Yes, small ones may not even compare to the effects of the biggest tornado, but if in certain countries, droughts and their aftermath have a huge impact on life for people living nearby.
Imagine yourself living in a country that may not have as much privileges as others, and hearing that a drought is coming, and could ruin your crops, livestock or anything else that needs the water to live. How would you feel? This is how other people feel when they have to live through such weather, and the impact get harder the longer it goes on. This subject may not seem like a lot compared to tsunamis and hurricanes, but the affects whilst and after are devastating, and that is why I think that they are the most dangerous.

Excellent reasoning entertaining_strawberry
I agree with you l also used to think the same but a times l was so puzzled it was either Thunderstorm, downburst , waterspouts , Tornadoes, Tropical cyclone, extra tropical cyclone.
I used to think alot ask myself many questions which is the most dangerous one of them which is the most severe at times l go through it confidently to know which is the most dangerous that brings more harm and l could say that all are very severe weather.
The regional and seasonal severe phenomena blizzards(snowstorm) ice storm, dust storm l could get my self really thinking but l ended up knowing that most of them are dangerous.
The deadly weather event that occurred in USA hurricane iram as mentioned by enchanted_economics is the most dangerous you mentioned it quite well that you left me thinking alot about it.
I think hurricanes are the most dangerous of them all.
Thank you

Thank you for your question. I may add some ways that weather can affect us especially earthquakes this include:
Ground shaking where the ground shakes causing a lot of destruction on earth also landslides, liquefaction and in some areas tsunamis. This terrible hazards therefore causes rupture utility lines and at times terrible earthquake causes hazardous spills and fires.
In addition to this, ground shaking also causes mudslide and avalanches on steeper hills or mountains all which therefore can damage buildings hence trapping people inside.

Could you perhaps tell us why you think hurricanes are the most dangerous?

I like your reasoning. Really drought can cause a lot to livestocks. I may also add that once droughts are there and are really affecting livestocks obvious the owner of the livestocks in that matter will therefore have to find another solution or any other way to prevent his/her livestocks from dying. And what do you think can do? He/she therefore have to buy various foods from the supermarkets or anywhere that sells animal's feed things like hay and so many in contrary buying this feeds also have some effects because it will lower the economy of people since you need to buy them daily for the animals to survive. So I think drought also affects a lot.

Hurricanes And Cyclones. One of the most dangerous types of weather on earth, hurricanes are powerful storms that form in the tropics during the summer months.
