STORMS
A storm is any disturbed state of a body especially affecting its surface, and strongly implying a wind force. It may be marked by significant disruptions and lightning (a thunderstorm), heavy precipitation (snowstorm, rainstorm), heavy freezing rain (ice storm), strong winds (tropical cyclone, windstorm), or wind transporting some substance through the atmosphere as in a dust storm, blizzard, sandstorm, etc.
Storms have the potential to harm lives and property via storm surge, heavy rain or snow causing flooding or road impassibility, lightning, wildfires, and vertical wind shear. Systems with significant rainfall and duration help alleviate drought in places they move through. Heavy snowfall can allow special recreational activities to take place which would not be possible otherwise, such as skiing and snowmobiling.
Cause of storms
Storms are created when a center of low pressure develops with the system of high pressure surrounding it. This combination of opposing forces can create winds and result in the formation of storm clouds such as cumulonimbus.
Effects of storms
Storms have the potential to harm lives and property via storm surge, heavy rain or snow causing flooding or road impassibility, lightning, wildfires, and vertical wind shear. Systems with significant rainfall and duration help alleviate drought in places they move through.

I don't think if we can prevent storms because storms comes with the rain⛈️🌩️.
I agree
Thanks for agreeing with me. Sometimes the rain comes with the storm, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe we should ask Frans and Gillian. Because I really don't know how people prevent floods.
I agree with you, I do not think that we can prevent the storm, but we can act and take the necessary precautions to reduce its negative effects through following the instructions of the civil defense and observance of orders and commitment in homes.

This is a really informative post Invigorated Chicken. I never knew there were so many types of storm! I really like that you included some advantages and disadvantages. Your question got me thinking, do you think there might be some evidence that some types of storms happen more, or less, because of human beings?
Yes I did some research and I think that human activities makes hurricanes worse which I added in my post

Well I don't think we can prevent it so easily because is something natural. But we can protect ourselves against it by moving very far away from it incase if it happens.
I agree with you prevention is better than cure . it's true we can't control storms but lam sure we can handle it like preventing it from affecting us and btinging more harm as mentioned by invigorated_chicken . thanks for that you mentioned it quite well .l agree that we can move far away from such a calamity
