Mankind going thirsty on the blue planet

Don't you feel unsafe with the possibility of not having drinkable water in the future?
We all know that summer is coming soon which means some countries may have drought it means a climate phenomenon that is considered one of the natural disasters that cause the largest losses in the world and affects a large number of people every year; it occurs because of the lack of water or the lack of it, whether it is caused by the entrapment or the lack of rain in terms of its levels in concrete or poor distribution for a period of time (a period Long separation or more of the dry air that causes rain retention or less than the average rain levels. Of course, this leads to: - Falling water levels in rivers, lakes, dams, and in underground stocks. - Decreased water reserves, especially groundwater reserves, and this results in a water imbalance and deficit in water resources, which affects the systems of production of land resources, as they limit land use and development and cause famines that create economic, social and environmental problems that hinder development.Without water, there is no life. We live on a water planet, 71% of its surface is water, 75% of the human body is water, and less than 2% of water is fresh water and 50% of the world's population have a shortage of drinking water and other needsans some countries may have drought it means

But the real question is will we be that lucky in the future and have drinkable water?

This is a very interesting post, awesome_nature! What do you think can be done to improve the situation, and help ensure everyone has access to drinking water?
Conserving drinking water has become a major issue mobilizing all actors from the public and private sectors. Adopting ecological behaviors to better control consumption is an economic and environmental necessity and a must for our planet Earth. Some people found a solution :
The use of wastewater to irrigate green areas in the region, which is an alternative to draining into the natural environment, which makes it possible to increase the available resources. That's all I think it needs to be done

Iam sure that drought is not the end of everything lam very sure people can acesss the drinking water and be able to reach everyone.
They can store water in containers which they can use when drought strike them.
They can consever water in the wells and bore holes so when drought comes they will be able to use the water available
Thanks
Yeah we still can hope that we will never have a water crisis but we need to be ready to face drought so we must conserve drinking water and not waste it because it's an inexhaustible treasure. Thank you
In the UK we take drinking water for granted. Do BNC members agree with this statement?

storage of water and creation of dams will help .
Two interesting suggestions, quick_beaver, can you say more on how each will lead to a solution?
Well if water is been stored individually people will be able to prepare for whatever lack of water and won't go thirsty.creation of dams will also help hold water and due to these mankind will hardly go thirsty on the blue planet which is earth .thanks

Some will have drinkable and others will not because some parts of the world🌍, people are suffering from drought and others do not.

It seems this issue of water shortage is not felt the same in different parts of the globe. Maybe hearing from those who are living the situation right now can make us all think more about sustainable natural resources

Well to be honest ,the problem of water shortage affects not all parts of the world so I think now that it has been mentioned we all can bring solutions to these problems.

This is a prolonged term of short or no rain that leads to shortage of water which leads to damage of crops, livestock and human's life,if we can prepare good wells, dams and tanks to store water when it rains,we can get rid of drought

This is a great post that you have published, here! The first question you asked already has an negative impact on people who don't have water that is clean, like I stated in my Droughts post. Water is also used in many ways, so thirst isn't the only problem. With Climate Change already at stake, the oceans are getting polluted so when you go to the shops to buy a bottle of Mineral Water, it might not be the freshest. Water can also be shortened by less rainfall, drying dams, and leads to failing crops. But, this situation doesn't affect everyone and everything all over the world. We can help stop this problem and increase the amount of clean water for everyone by:
a) Use less water at home as much as possible
b) Reduce the amount of pollution by not throwing plastic waste in the seas and oceans
c) Only use water for necessary things
So, to conclude, I think that we can prevent the shortage of water by using less at home and being cautions of what we use it for and how.
Thank you for these suggestions intrepid_hurricane! You suggested that we only use water for necessary things. How do we decide what is necessary? Who should make those decisions?

I know one thing water is really important we can't survive without but we need to conserve the little we get for the future use
Thanks

Water is important to mankind so as to survive for a long time but we need to conserve the little that we have so as to avoid problems in the future.
Interesting comment but can you say more on the ways we can store water
Well done for asking a question to help someone else think more!

I think the only way to stop this from happening is to think before you do.You can do this by not throwing plastic and rubbish in the sea. We have bins all around the world so we have to put our rubbish in there. There would be no need for bins everywhere if we didn’t need it. However, we do need it and if we don’t stop, then we will have dirty water to drink instead of clean. We also need to use water for necessary thing, for example cleaning, having a shower, drinking and many more. There are still so many things you need water for, which is why we should use less water if we can. How do you know if it’s necessary for you to use water for some things? I think, as I said in the beginning, think before you do because if you just do it and don’t think about what will happen in the future, then it is too late to think about it.

We can stop drought in our world by ensuring we don't cut trees in our areas so we ensure there will be a lot of rains which will control droughts.
