Extreme Climate - Reduce Carbon Emissions In Schools

What can we do to help saving the earth? Let's us discuss this here. By reducing carbon emissions is one of the ways to help stopping the global warming. Extreme Climate is one of the effects of global warming. So if we can reduce carbon emissions, we can then help minimize the occurance of extreme climate. So let's start doing this at our schools. Let's discuss and suggest some ways that we can do at schools to save our planet!!

This is an excellent question and great to see you taking an open-minded approach and encouraging others' ideas. Well done for also linking to extreme weather. Can anyone share what they have done at their school / want to do at their school to reduce carbon emissions?

We should learn the dangers of this global warming.

Can you say more about this? You're certainly right about the dangers of global warming but what consequences do you think there are to global warming?

You have made an interesting statement; can you provide some evidence to support this? Do chemical compounds released from human activities also have an effect on the depletion of the ozone layer?

Global warming brings about the green house effect where by solar radiation is allowed in but terrestrial radiation cannot get out of the ozone layer

That’s right! I also have a few simple suggestions that I think can assist on saving the planet: instead of burning and throwing away reusable things, we can recycle the things that we have used,or just reuse them, this way we can minimize the production of carbon emissions as much as possible. We can also use less hot water, do you know that heating up water uses a lot of energy? We should take shorter showers, wash our dishes and clothes in cold or warm water, this tip can save more than 450 pounds of carbon dioxide each year! The next tip is to try your best to avoid products and items with lots of packaging, we can save more than 1000 pounds of carbon dioxide if we reduce our garbage by eight percent, The last tip is to be aware if any item or product you bought or have is recyclable, if it is, then please recycle it once you don’t have a use of it any more, don’t just throw it away.
These suggestions (or tips) that i just mentioned in the above can slow down global warming if we take them to heart and apply them to our everyday lives. So let’s start doing this at our schools , our community, or even everywhere around the world and stop global warming!

Thanks for your suggestions! Do you think they would be as easy for people living in different countries as they are for you? Perhaps someone who doesn't live in Hong Kong could share their opinion about how feasible these things are.

This are some of the suggestion in school that can help us save the planet.
First cut engine emissions by organising where students or pupils are encouraged to walk and not driven home to save the planet from emissions
Secondly making recycling facilities in your school's, Recycle a waste audit to see where the most rubbish is produced
Thirdly tackle food waste in your school , scheme's like zero waste Scotland in handling wasted food
Fourthly fighting plastic waste bottle refilling station in order to save the planet
Lastly take part in growing activities produce your own vegetables originally and researcher has shown it has positive impact in science, nutrition and horticulture.
This can slow the global warming and at the end when can overcome it that's my suggestion on the global warming and saving our planet
    Thanks for reading

I think that when talking about recycling there's obviously a limit to the amount of waste that can be recycled. Recycling non biodegradable materials wont achieve the desired effect if the new production of such materials still continues. B y this I mean that if we still keep on making non biodegradable materials and still recycle them at the same time, recycling will have no actual effect. However every step taken towards fighting global warming has and because of this, choosing to ride a bicycle to work rather than driving could create a ground shaking impact if implemented on a large scale.
