This is a really interesting way of looking at this Mindful Vegetable. Why do you think people might focus on the negative side? This has got me thinking though; can you think of any benefits from extreme weather?
One benefit from rainfall is that it helps plants grow which is a form of protection from strong winds that can destroy poor housing systems.
Interesting! So you're saying that one sort of extreme weather (heavy rainfall) might be able to protect against another (strong winds)?
No. I don't mean heavy rainfall. And I'm not saying that the rainfall might be able to protect against strong winds. I'm saying that the rainfall helps the trees to grow and the trees are forms of protection against strong winds.

Some countries are still not develop due to some reasons. So when this extreme weather affect another country which is not developing and having poor drainage system, extreme weather such as flood can destroy all their properties and sometimes their lives as well. If this happens the other countries being afraid of loosing their properties will make sure all their poor drainage systems are well built to protect themselves from extreme weather.
Can you please explain how.

Well done for raising the point that sometimes it is extreme events that force governments to make necessary changes. Are there ways communities can encourage the state to develop a sustainable policy before a disaster occurs?

I think there are some positive impacts of extreme weather. Example wildfire. It plays a key role in shaping ecosystems by serving as an agent of renewal and change. But fire can be deadly, destroying homes, wildlife habitat and timber, and polluting the air with emissions harmful to human health.
