a speech to the UN75 about extreme weather

I'm rhetorical_artist,beside my young age I'm really interested and aware of global troubles especially dramatic changes and complex problems due to climate crisis and extreme weather .However in this speech I wanted to share my experience with severe weather that let a big impact on me .In fact just a week ago, my country suffered from terrible heatwaves that caused a terrifying fire in an industrial area, fortunatly the firefighters succeded to control it after hours of hard working and now many workers are jobless. Moreover, rainfalls became more frequent and persistent in Tunisia. As in 2018 the country sustained awful floods: In addition, many regions and agricultural areas was destroyed by the rough storm and a lot of families lost their houses. But we won't forget about the innocent kids tha died after being swept away by the overflooded rivers especially in the country sides just because they were going to school in tragic conditions and the government didn't provide any security measures or means of transport and now going to school became a nightmare for the inhabitants.

We can't stay just talking and never acting! As a child, I'm exhosted of disasters happening due to extreme weather while we can stop them. The government must take preventions and has to change and react as if severe weather will happen at any time .Houses abondonned by the states should be rebuilt and prepared to face tragedies and government and communities have to support and encourage small workers and local production by giving them money and rescue

Overall, extreme weather are happening everywhere in the world such as France heatwave in 2019, the recent fire in Australia and New York hurricane Sandy in 2012. When all these catacylisms are going to stop? We need collective action more than ever before! When nations are going to stop wasting money on wars and useles inventions instead of spending it on developing technology and thoughts that will help humanity to fix the ecosystem and put an end to global warming ? Fortunatly, there are foundations that encourage people to put their heads together to define how enhanced international cooperation and solidarity can help realise a better world by 2045. However, we need to start acting even by simple things like planting trees to reduce toxic gases or helping and donating to poor countries because "we must be the change we want to see in the world".

Thank you .

A powerful speech and a good use of your own experience to highlight the problem. Well done!

This is a great piece @rhetorical_artist. You mention working together to "realise a better world by 2045". What do you mean by that? Was there a particular reason why you chose this date?

Thank you, and i hope that the humanity will put an end as soon as possible to diseases and extreme weather. I also found in different websites that scientists are trying hard to change the world before the next century and I think that it's really important to act fast because severe weather are happening more frequently and becoming more dangerous, so 2045 might be a great date to realise a better world.

Why do you say 2045? What should we aim for, to happen by then?

In my opinion, I think that in 20 or 25 years experts will develop many useful ways to fight against the global warming and new technologies will help the humanity to save the ecosystem. By 2045 scientists expect that they won't be any climate problems anymore and everything will be recyclable to reduce the polution that we live with it now and caused problems to the nature, atmosphere and even evolved mortal diseases. However, we hope that nations will try during the next years to protect their countries from extreme weather issues by building specific structures and constructions and collaborating with scientists to reduce the loses and problems caused by severe weather.
