why does extreme weather happend and why does it affect us humans ?
Extreme weather happens because of human activities like burning of fossil fuels which could cause global warming which is an extreme event
extreme weather does not choose either animals or human both are affected and it is forced to happen by nature

Is earthquake an effect of extreme weather?
I've been also thinking about the same thing.weather is the atmospheric conditions of a particular place over a short period of time.so how come that hurricane, drought etc be weather?I don't think so because weather is not atmospheric condition including drought.

Is global warming a form of extreme weather?
Yes,
A: Scientists agree that the earth’s rising temperatures are fueling longer and hotter heat waves, more frequent droughts, heavier rainfall, and more powerful hurricanes. In 2015, for example, scientists said that an ongoing drought in California—the state’s worst water shortage in 1,200 years—had been intensified by 15 percent to 20 percent by global warming. They also said the odds of similar droughts happening in the future had roughly doubled over the past century. And in 2016, the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine announced that it’s now possible to confidently attribute certain weather events, like some heat waves, directly to climate change.
The earth’s ocean temperatures are getting warmer, too—which means that tropical storms can pick up more energy. So global warming could turn, say, a category 3 storm into a more dangerous category 4 storm. In fact, scientists have found that the frequency of North Atlantic hurricanes has increased since the early 1980s, as well as the number of storms that reach categories 4 and 5. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina—the costliest hurricane in U.S. history—struck New Orleans; the second-costliest, Hurricane Sandy, hit the East Coast in 2012.
Yes.global warming is a form of extreme weather since it is an atmospheric conditions.

The extreme weather make the humans careful with safety procedures . the people see the effect of extreme weather now . and protect the next generation . it makes ready for the upcoming extreme weather . when hurricanes strike seas , the water will be distributed over dry areas . and the floods work on soil fertility .

Why are some extreme weather events easy to start and others hard to start?
What do you mean? How can you start weather?
You are right, how can we start extreme weather?is it a machine?
I meant that how do extreme weather events start ? Like floods start when the rain is falling heavily and the water start to pass it's limits but I don't know if it easy to start or hard.

I would like to ask Gillian a question. Because we are in lockdown, do you think that the world will experience less extreme weather than we were before? I've asked this question because lots of things are getting better while we've been in lockdown, such as the canals in Venice have now got fish in and the water is more clear. Also, there was a cloud sitting above China (that shouldn't have been there)but its cleared off since they've been in lockdown.
thank you for reading, reliable_fig
