There are lots of things in the world the we need to stop and carry on to reduse the cause of climate change, some examples are: the sources of energy we use at home; transport; buying new things from industries and agriculture (eating and using meat aswell as its products). All these things produce greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse gases trap heat radiating from Earth to space. This heat, in the form of infrared radiation, gets absorbed and emitted by these gases in the planet's atmosphere warming the lower atmosphere and the surface. They are bad for the enviroment.
Right now the climate change we are seeing is mainly caused by us humans. The reason why artic sea ice isn't lasting us long is because when we burn fossil fuel like oil, gas and coal that supplies with energy are transported. It builds up in the atmosphere and creates a blanket. That blanket holds in the heat; as it traps the heat the planet gets warmer. This means it affects the artic ice and the polar bears' habitat.
The area where I would like to reduce emissions is: INDUSTRY
- We need to stop buying new things
- We should start buying things from charity shops and second hand shops
- It might be difficult for some people to give up buying new things but it is possible
