Session 1: the environment and covid-19

Welcome to the Global Conversation sessions!

If you have missed a session at school or would like to recap what you have learnt, then work through the activities below.

In this video, Tom and Olivia walk you through each activity or scroll down and read through each step instead.

STEP 1

  • When have you made a fresh start? Why? What happened? How easy is it to make a fresh start?
  • If your friend wanted to make a fresh start, what advice would you give them?

STEP 2

Work through this PowerPoint and answer the questions as you go.

STEP 3

How urgent is it that we address climate change? Give your response on a scale of one to ten, where one is “not urgent” and ten is “very urgent”. Make sure you can say why.

Why aren't most people reacting to climate change with the same urgency as covid-19?

Over to you

  1. We'd love to hear what you think about the questions in this session. Read what other students think, reply to them and add your own ideas in the comment section below.
  2. Join this week's cluster conversation to discuss: how urgent is climate change? Find your cluster here.

    Step 1
    _in March
_ There is no reason, because this is the beginning of my self-exploration
_The teacher asked us to try to write a verse or poem, so I did the experiment and was able to write it and started practicing writing and improving my level with the help of my friend
_ It is not easy to start a new beginning, at this moment a person has to face his old self, his mistakes and his past, and he has to overcome them and this is the most difficult thing for a person and he must stand and face his future, because at this moment he is walking to his destiny
_Make a logical plan, and are satisfied with it and with all the steps that you will take

At the beginning of the blessed month of Ramdam , l decided to start a new beginning in everything
A new beginning in my worship to God , my studies ,and in improving my behavior because l wanted to be conceived of what lam doing

It's not easy to start a new beginning because if we have bad deeds that we are used to do ,it will not be easy for us to leave them suddenly , and if we want to start a new beginning we must be persistent and convinced of what we are doing to be proud of ourselves and have a brilliant future for ourselves

The direct effect is due to heat stress or due to floods and storms. And power cuts in cases of heat or extreme cold, which lead to disruption of hospitals. A decrease in crop production, which leads to malnutrition and high food prices. Increased cases of heat stroke. The high number of Lyme disease cases due to the high temperature and humidity that increases the reproduction of ticks that contribute to the transmission of Lyme disease and psychological problems such as anxiety, depression and even suicides. Increased duration of allergy seasons due to increased rain Rising sea levels, while the impact of climate change indirectly due to low water quality, air quality, availability and quality of food, or destabilization of the natural system Poverty, displacement and conflict over resources and problems Post-disaster mental health.

By discussing the disasters that previously occurred due to climate change, and knowing the causes of its occurrence, as the reason for the occurrence of climate change is the raising of human activity of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and the cutting of trees, and from this point we learn to reduce the use of fossil fuels, and increase the cultivation of trees, and in that way we reduce Of the occurrence of climate change.

The pandemic has changed the world positively in the area of greenhouse effects. For example, lockdown by various countries meant that factories closed and lots of vehicles parked which reduced carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

While coronavirus is understandably treated as an imminent danger, the climate crisis is still presented as an abstraction whose consequences are decades away. Unlike an illness, it is harder to visualise how climate breakdown will affect us each as individuals. Till now most of the people don't care about climate change because they still don't know how badly it will effect their lives and their environment. However with covid 19 people are reacting to it. they can feel how dangerous it is because they are living with this fact.
In fact people need to understand and realize how climate change can effect us and the world we live or we will be on a different planet!

Hi magnificent_drawing, thank you for your insightful comment. You make a very good point that the pandemic shows itself to have more immediate human consequences than climate change, and that affects public attitudes towards the level of threat posed by both.

Do you think that it will take more serious consequences of climate change to happen before the general public understands the threat of it poses, or do you think awareness can be raised and changes made right now? And if so, what do you think are some of the best ways of raising awareness of the threat that climate change poses?

Millions of people are already suffering from the catastrophic effects of extreme disasters exacerbated by climate change – from prolonged drought in sub-Saharan Africa to devastating tropical storms sweeping across Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and the Pacific. During the summer months for the northern hemisphere in 2018, communities from the Arctic Circle to Greece, Japan, Pakistan and the USA experienced devastating heatwaves and wildfires that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people.

While we largely understand climate change through the impacts it will have on our natural world, it is the devastation that it is causing and will continue to cause for humanity that makes it an urgent human rights issue. It will compound and magnify existing inequalities. And its effects will continue to grow and worsen over time, creating ruin for current and future generations. This is why the failure of governments to act on climate change in the face of overwhelming scientific evidence may well be the biggest inter-generational human rights violation in history.
After placing plantiffs in a position of climate danger, defendants have continued to act with deliberate indifference to the known danger they helped create and enhance. A destabilized climate system poses unusually serious risks of harm to plaintiff's lives and their bodily integrity and dignity. And in this situation awareness can better raised and changes can be done by :
Education is an essential element of the global response to climate change. It helps people understand and address the impact of global warming, increases “climate literacy” among young people, encourages changes in their attitudes and behaviour, and helps them adapt to climate change related trends. 1 Share news on social media.
2 Mention scientific research and evidence.
        3 Bring up real-life examples.
4 Talk about global solutions to the problem.
5 Discuss personal actions that fight climate change.
        6 Hang up awareness posters.
7 Create art relating to climate change.

Education and awareness-raising enable informed decision-making, play an essential role in increasing adaptation and mitigation capacities of communities, and empower women and men to adopt sustainable lifestyles.

For step 3, I would say 8 because the economy of my country bases on agriculture which requires good climate but some people don't seem to understand that and those who seem to understand it think that it is not yet that bad but I think we should stop it before it becomes worse . Most people are reacting to Covid-19 more than climate change because Covid-19 has had a more visual impact than climate change. take for example where l live in Uganda people lost jobs, people died an people lacked food. For climate change people might not see it but our vegetation is reducing, there is more air pollution, there are more landslides due to deforestation on hilly areas and due to ignorance of people, Mabira Forest is no longer the biggest forest in Uganda. So I think it is because of the ignorance of people towards the dangers of climate change.

    Attentive-flower’s opinions:

    Step one:
I made a new fresh start when Covid-19 invaded my country. I was devastated so depressed and didn’t want to go through what people from other countries were going through. Little did I know that the whole world would get infected by the virus. I made sure to spend loads of time with my family by playing board games or even fun online multiplayer mobile games. I also would post and say positive quotes about how much I miss interacting with people and will never take things for granted again, how if we follow safety precautions Covid-19 will diminish slowly slowly till the virus stops spreading hoping that my friends and family members’ faces will be brightened. I had a specific productive virtual school routine to stay on track but, sometimes if I ever was/am lazy I would take a day off to focus on myself more :))

If my friend suffered from the same problem I would tell my friend to never lose hope and always stay optimistic since look what’s happening now, eligible people are getting vaccinated, Covid-19 positive test results are declining tremendously, and many countries have zero covid-19 cases and are now helping poor countries by donating extra non-used vaccines.

    Step Two:
1st question: The pandemic changed the world positively and negatively. Thankfully pollution in all forms and places reduced (ex. Better air quality, fossil fuels from factories diminished, canals cleared up). Also, the pandemic had an eye-opening effect on people since now everybody is extra precautious making sure to stay safe as possible by sanitizing social distancing, etc.

1st question: Biggest impact on the environment>6>4>5>7 smallest impact on the environment
    2. Happy to keep after Covid-19 >6>4>7>5 unhappy to keep after Covid-19

2nd question: Usually I would go to school by bus but, although using public transport is good for the environment, it still does emit NO2 and when I stayed at home I was contributing by reducing this toxic gas.

3rd question: We can observe that canals have cleared up, a mountain that was invisible due to the CO2 emissions in the open air is now visible and, animals would spend time on the un-busy roads. So lockdown has eased the negative environmental problems.

It depends on a person and a specific country since not all countries had strict safety rules during the pandemic but some did. However, Lebanon can relate to less traffic since in both countrysides and cities due to the safety tips and transportation advice, there was a huge reduction in air and noise pollutions.

4th question: The pandemic’s lockdowns caused a reset for the environment and let it heal from all the toxins found in many forms.

    Step Three:
On a scale from 1 to 10, I would say 10 as it being very urgent since if we don’t address climate change and realize the consequences climate change might become even worse and cause disturbance worldwide causing health risks to livelihoods.

Not all people and countries are affected severely like other countries by climate change so maybe these people’s countries are ignoring climate change since it’s natural and believe Earth will heal on its own but, Covid-19 that got transmitted in all countries can be stopped by vaccines and restrictions.

Covid 19 is a pandemic disease that spread over the whole country and the world.

I live in Palestine. I wish people knew that in Palestine ... I will talk about my country of Palestine, which is one of the countries in the Levant and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. My country has many things, including its wonderful traditions that we still preserve, as well as the music that you enjoy and the Dabkeh dance performances, and also the elderly wear the colorful Palestinian dress that they embroider on their hands, but my country is not very large, but it has varied and beautiful terrain, including Sihari, Jabaloo and forests, As well as many of them in my country. Human civilizations like the Canaanite appeared in my country, in which the Christianity is found

Wwll everyone, I think on a scale of 1-10, for me how urgent it is to tackle climate change is 8 .The reason being that climate change puts us at the risk of having wild fires, heatwaves, more intense storms ,weather extremes, just to mention a few .From my own point of view, people aren't taking climate change as serious as the covid pandemic because covid is a global disease taking lives day by day, changing people's lifestyles, putting medical workers at the peak of losing their lifes and you expect climate change that doesn't happen in all countries to be compared to covid ? I obviously don't think it is possible
    Thanks for listening

    Challenge:

COP26 stands for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference that will occur in late 2021 this conference is held yearly to suggest many ways on how to overcome global environmental problems (ex. climate change, global warming, rising sea levels). Lebanon is affected by different forms of pollution (water pollution, air pollution) so if the goals are compatible, this will cause Lebanon to evolve and get rid of these toxins that are negatively affecting the citizens and the environment.

    Suggestions:
    * EDUCATION, educating people about the consequences and downsides that might arise if climate change and more environmental problems build-up (strict laws if education doesn’t work)
    * Purifying wastewater and rainwater to use it for agricultural reasons
*Expanding groundwater tanks to collect more rainwater
    * Use filters
    * Use public transport
    * Reforestation after wildfires
    * Fine many factories that emit a larger quantity of fossil fuels
    * Swap chemical fertilizers with compost
    * Fine individuals that dump waste in illegal ways
    * Relying on renewable energy sources for livelihoods (natural gas, nuclear power, wind energy )
    * Have strict laws concerning different pollution (no waste on the beaches, use bikes on specific days)
    * Reduce and replace all kinds of plastics with sustainable eco-friendly materials (bamboo toothbrushes, cloth bags in stores, boxed water, metal, and silicone instead of plastics )

Thank you loads, Tom!! Education would help achieve all of them. However, not everyone would abide by the laws so it depends on the pollution, using public transport and using renewable energy sources (ex. electric cars, solar-powered cars) will definitely diminish air pollution. Enforce laws on factories that leak toxic oils in the ocean would help with water pollution. Reusing wastewater and compost will help with agriculture too. There are much more solutions that will help with reducing/diminishing many environmental problems than that though!!

Palestinian literature refers to Arabic language novels, short stories and poems produced by Palestinians. Forming part of the broader genre of Arabic literature, contemporary Palestinian literature is often characterized by its growing sense of irony and the exploration of existential identity themes and issues.References to the elements of resistance to occupation, exile, loss, love and patriotism are also common

For step three I would like to say that here in Nigeria people don't really see the dangers of climate change as they do see destruction in covid-19 because climate change does not show effects as well as the covid-19 does but if you bring this topic to an average citizen then they will show you and tell you that covid-19 is more serious than climate change because covid-19 kills faster than that of climate change but in other cases you could find someone more interested in climate change than covid-19.

In addition to what he said, we don't have direct evidence that climate change is influencing the spread of covid-19, but we do know that climate change alters how we relate to other species on earth and that matters to our health and our risk for infections...many of the root causes of climate change also increase the risk of pandemics

1.The time i made a fresh start was when I first entered boarding school,it was because I knew that I had to do well in my studies to have a great future and I won't have realized that if it was not for my parent.
1b.If my friend asked me how they could have a fresh start I would tell them that as long as you set your mind on it you can achieve it .
2.The pandemic has changed the world today how we associate with others ,work and so on .Right now it is made compulsory to wear face mask and shield s out doors and therefore if anyone is caught without it will be fined or persecuted .Due to Covid-19 people either go to work online or not work at all therefore making people not able to pay bills or provide for the family causing loss of life and properties and finally due to the Covid-19 the environment is being saved gradually.
3.I think the rate for that should be 9/10 and my reason is because as we are saving the environment we should think about Covid -19

Coron avirus is one of the most harmful disasters that has spread in the world, it's an infectious disease, alot of people exposed it and are suffering from respiratory diseases,in my opinion it's adouble -edged sword : the disadvantages: economic crisis so the shops and markets was closed and the people suffered a lack of money, change the style of life, stopped the movement of flight, the people got away from relatives, friends and loved ones and it affected on environment badly.the advantages of it: demonstrate the importance of soldiers, polices and doctors in our countries, increasing of cleaning, show the ability of Allah in changing the world, so we must protect ourselves from this and have big patience because it will end inshallah.

    Before starting a new start
Be sure that you will succeed, and that this beginning will have a clear imprint on your bright future

In order for this beginning to be a clear imprint in your future, you must think carefully about what this beginning will do, and what impact it will have on you, on your present, and your future. In order to draw a successful plan, it must be a logical plan and a plan to make yourself satisfied with what you do, and to make yourself satisfied you have to love what you do, because you will not make any progress

Step 1:The first time I made a fresh start was in grade four,in a maths assignment. This happened because I saw the assignment and said that it was as easy as blinking my eyes. As I started the assignment ,I was just writing my answers with pride and confidence then, when I went to submit it my teacher asked me,”what exactly are you writing “ and I was speechless . I had to go back, and get rid of that working and redo. Oh God! It was stressful. So, it is not that easy to make a fresh start.
If my friend was to have a fresh start I would advice them to learn from the mistake that made them to make a fresh start

    Step 2
~The pandemic has changed the world in various ways, for example it more money to be spent on vaccinations and groceries to stock the store during the lockdown, the roads were empty ,air pollution reduced ,bars, churches, schools, bars, restaurants had to be closedown
~ from the largest impact to the smallest impact I’d say 6,4,7,5
~ from happy to keep to unhappy to keep I’d say 5,4,7,6
~the pandemic has changed my life by making me have online classes ,wearing face mask everywhere, doing church online, having my temperature checked at various intervals.
~If positively yes but if negatively I don’t really know
~the first picture shows that there was no water pollution, the second shows that there was no air pollution, and the third shows that the roads were free
    ~no
~ people who live in different places might experience different weathers cause Uganda is not polluted the same way that Nigeria is polluted
    ~no
~the pandemic could be a way to make a fresh start cause the economy of most countries is broken down so they’d need a fresh start
~ My country Nigeria is involved in the COP26 because it is one Africa’s largest economies and emitters of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs)

Step3 Wwll everyone, I think on a scale of 1-10, for me how urgent it is to tackle climate change is 8 .The reason being that climate change puts us at the risk of having wild fires, heatwaves, more intense storms ,weather extremes, just to mention a few .From my own point of view, people aren't taking climate change as serious as the covid pandemic because covid is a global disease taking lives day by day, changing people's lifestyles, putting medical workers at the peak of losing their lifes and you expect climate change that doesn't happen in all countries to be compared to covid ? Environment it must be alot of solution for this problem that we do the pollution . First : we must use bikes not cars because cars do alout of air pollution .
Second : the factories must be in a place far from people and plants and animals because this is knot good for our life .
Third : we must do not throw trash in the beach or the sand we must through them in the basckets that are there .

Fourth : to do not use alot of plastics like the plastic bag we can use a bag from something can be washed and use ut another time . Like the plastic bottle we can use a iron bottle that can be washed .

    Good day everyone,
My opinion is that for step 3 I will rate 10 because some people do not understand what climate change is all about so this will help them .
I will also like to add that the reason why people do not react to climate change like they do to covid 19 is because covid 19 is a pandemic which means it spreads through countries and continents but climate change in Jos when it is cold in other places it could be boiling hot people can not feel the same thing that people in Jos can feel but covid 19 is a pandemic and a disease so it spread through the entire world , so it will be better if we treat the topic climate change which will help people's knowledge on the topic I do not know if anyone else here agrees with me or gets what I am trying to say but I hope I have people listening to me and understanding what I am saying because another thing we are learning her is listening, speaking, problem solving and creativity so I am saying my idea and I am ready to listen to what anyone has to say.

I live in Nigeria, Jos. I think people don't pay attention to climate change because in most parts the impact of climate change is not felt but I also think that here in Nigeria most people don't take covid-19 or it's preventive measures seriously because Africa has one of the lowest death rates in the world. So some people don't take it seriously. Most people ignore the warnings because they feel the must see the some serious impacts for it to be true. I feel that education would really help a lot in this case because most Nigerians are uneducated.

    Step1

For this question, I have to admit that I haven’t really made a fresh start because I don’t need to, I’ve got everything I need and anything I could possibly want so it’s fine and ok. If I really had to think about fresh starts though, I guess it would be when I leave primary, and start secondary because I'm going to be joining a new school which is very exciting.

    Step2

The pandemic has changed the world because we have to do daily things differently: how we work, learn and interact as social distancing guidelines have led to a more virtual existence, both personally and professionally.

The pandemic has changed my lifestyle by doing the same things but differently from step1. The global disruption caused by the COVID-19 has brought about several effects on the environment including climate change. A positive side would be that air quality has improved in many cities with a decrease in water pollution in different parts of the world.

    Step3

In my point of view, I believe that the urgency of climate change is 10/10 because it will affect everyone’s lives, especially the poor and vulnerable. Consequences could be that we won’t be able to grow food and we wouldn’t have anywhere suitable to live. It could also cause even more dangerous viruses than covid.

Most people aren’t reacting to climate change with the same urgency as covid because the impact of covid was immediate in overwhelming hospitals, leading to many people dying, so governments and people in rich countries could see the urgency. But climate change hasn’t affected EVERYONE, so far which is why people don’t see the same urgency.

I want to discuss with everyone of how climate change is caused.
*Harmful gases from factories can cause climate change :this is because factories produce a lot of gases , dust , and heat. These often enter the surrounding atmosphere and pollute the climate.
*Smoke from exhaust pipes of vehicles can cause climate change : vehicles emit smoke which pollute the climate especially old vehicles.

Regarding climate change, I'd like to tell you about: Global warming: The global average surface temperature increases with the amount of carbon dioxide, methane, and some other gases in the atmosphere. It is considered a dangerous change for us, as if it continues to grow, it will pose a threat to the planet, and it could lead to the extinction of many animal and other species, and of course global warming affects the ozone layer, allowing harmful rays to pass to us from the sun, the main source of it is the resulting air. From factories, it can be peacefully remedied by planting more trees

Through my experience, where I live in Palestine in Gaza City, I believe that the climate changed slowly and gradually, not noticeable, but what happened in Covid-19 led people to respond quickly to the climate change because of the gravity of the matter and the speed of its spread and its high mortality, but in the majority it contributed to limiting the spread of this epidemic through gloves and masks Medical and the use of sterilization and permanent hygiene, the combined efforts of the people, the health services and the police, led to the stabilization of the situation, the decline in the rates of injured, dead, and contacts, and Covid-19 affected practical life, stopping factories and reducing traffic congestion, which This led to a decrease in environmental pollution and the result was the closure of the ozone layer. As for education, it has positive effects, such as the closure of educational centers and schools. This led to a reduction in the spread of the epidemic and the continuation of tele-education .Thanks N.M

News flash 1: THE WORLD HAS BEEN DEVASTATED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Indeed the covid-19 pandemic has led to dramatical loss of human life world wide and present an unprecedented challenge to the public health, food system and the world of work. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating. According to WHO about ten million people are at risk of falling into extreme poverty while the number estimated at nearly six hundred and ninety million could increase by up to one hundred and thirty two million by the end of the year.

News flash 2 GOVERNMENT MADE RULES AND PEOPLE CHANGE THIER LIFE STYLES OVERNIGHT TO PROTECT THEM SELF FROM COVID-19
Yes our government in Ghana made rules and the life style of people was changed overnight to protect themself from COVID-19.
In the business center, Most business were collapsing and some were at a slow rate of profits. But the good thing is that E-commerce was introduced. E-commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services.
In the education center many schools were introduced to E-learning whereby it is formalised teaching but with the help of electronic resources. Teaching can be based in and out of classrooms and this time through E-learning with the help of computers and the internet forms the major components of E-learning.

    my opinion is...
    step 1
A fresh start is an opportunity to start over,to make new beginnings and to avoid. mistakes made earlier . I have made fresh starts various times. Once I made a fresh start at the beginning of a new academic year. I set goals for myself in each topic and I was committed to achieve them . I made this new start because I was not all that satisfied with my performance the previous academic year.
    If my friend wants to make a fresh start I will advice him to;
    1. Set a goal or target and should be committed to achieve it. He/she should work hard so that the set target can be reached.

    2. Should learn from past mistakes and avoid them. After all it is a fresh start meaning new beginnings.

    2. I also decided to take care of my health, so I started to move away from bad food and soft drink habits.
3.I also decided to develop my talent for drawing. I returned some old drawings, and I noticed the development as well. I took care of other areas of drawing. So I drew many outfits and liked drawing more.

.Of course it is not easy to start something new, and there are some people who are afraid of change and renewal, but I think that day after day you will get used to it because it will become your routine.

If you want to advise my friend, I do not want him to think that I force him, but do for his benefit, and I want to say try again. If you fail the first time, try another method and learn from your mistake. Also, you must smile when you want to give advice because this will give a feeling of security in the heart of your friend.

many people don't realize that their releasing Chlorofluorocarbons in instances like the burning of bushes the person, burning that particular bush does not realize what he is doing, and maybe there might just that slight chance other people burning bushes with that one person so all that is accumulated+other affecting factors and released into to the ozone layer, therefore, depleting the ozone layer, therefore, causing global warming

Children already left behind will likely bear the brunt of the pandemic’s impact, whether through missing out on life-saving vaccinations, increased risk of violence, or interrupted education.

Many children, especially those in the poorest households and the poorest parts of the world, risk losing their lives to pneumonia, diarrhoeal diseases, malaria, HIV, and other preventable diseases unless urgent action is taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. For instance, any further disruptions to immunization services will result in more children dying from pneumonia, which already kills around 800,000 children under the age of five every year – about 2,200 per day.

Yes, that is very true. You're right, earnest_river.
Global warming is the main cause of climate change.
Global warming leads to change in weather patterns by making wet areas wetter and dry ones drier. Temperatures in various places worsen. This later increases the frequency of many types of climatic disasters, including storms, floods, droughts and intensive heat waves. So, I too believe that if global warming is controlled and reduced, so will climate change. However, the control of global warming has proved to be harder than it seems because most people don't believe in the dangers of climate change since they have not witnessed them. Climate change may not directly affect us now, but it could affect our future generations. So, lets raise awareness about global warming and make the world a better place for us and our generations to come.
    Thanks for reading.

We can raise awareness by discussing previous disasters that resulted from climate change, and explaining to them how dangerous they are to living organisms, for example the climate change that is occurring in Romania, where due to high temperatures and drought, Romania has become a desert and it is expanding over time. . All this led to the deterioration of agriculture and plant production as a result of the loss of plant growth factors in the area.

    My view on Step 3:
I'll show you my point of view on this question.
Climate change occurs since the beginning of this world, and climate change is a natural thing that happens, and it happens every day in many countries of the world, which means that it is normal for this to happen, and that people adapt to climate changes, without knowing the danger of the climate on other aspects of life, but Covid 19 It is a modern epidemic that many people are ignorant of, meaning that it is a disaster that occurred suddenly without warning, and that such an epidemic had not happened before for the same generation، and that Covid 19 is a disease that affects a person directly, not like climate changes.
I said that climate has risks on aspects of life, we can see that climate has a great impact on Covid 19, as there are recent studies that have proven this, but few people know this, so people's ignorance of the dangers of disasters that occur in this world will lead us to death.

Really interesting information guys, keep it up!
However, I didn’t see that anybody talked about how the usage of plastic increased tremendously during Covid-19’s lockdowns. Due to online shopping, ordering groceries, take-outs, etc. Plastic was found everywhere in every household. Plastic affects pollution in many forms since a lot of people don’t believe in reduce, reuse and recycle so how can we fix this worldwide problem?

How does everybody get rid of plastic these days?

People are always seen throwing waste in general, whether it is in the ocean, parks, gardens, campsites, mountains, and Mother Nature, plastic is building up in all environments affecting humans’ health risks. However, some just take tons of plastic and dump it in a landfill thinking it’ll disappear on its own.
It is time to take ACTION

    Solutions:

    Recycling plastic:
When you recycle the plastic you use, you are avoiding sending this plastic to landfills that get disposed of in a very disturbing way that affects air quality. Many say that they don’t know places to donate plastic to or that they don’t use single-use plastic. Nonetheless, ACTIONS speak LOUDER than WORDS so, if a person is committed to contributing to changing the world and making it a better place then he/she would do it directly.

    How to recycle plastic?

If a person doesn’t have a local place to drop them off, then he/she can turn plastic bottles into jewelry, decorations, useful gadgets, toys, plant pots, pencil holders, etc. that you can find tutorials for on YouTube and more social media platforms or, you can be creative and turn them into whatever you want! Furthermore, plastic bottles can be donated to special charities such as Envision Hands that uses 3D printing to turn these plastics into mechanical hands and arms for kids!

Moreover, plastic bottles come with bottle caps that can be donated to nonprofit charities that redeem them for chemotherapy treatments for patients in need.

    Cutting off plastic:
For instance, a person can just omit using plastic from his/her life and switch plastic with:
    Plastic bags  cloth/carton bags
Plastic water bottles  glass/silicone/carton bottles (or just fill up a bottle from home)
    Plastic toothbrushes  bamboo brushes
    Ziploc bags  glass/silicone/metal containers

    Microplastics:
Microplastics are small plastic pieces smaller than five millimeters long that can be harmful to the environment but, have some advantages as well. Scientists are still studying the impact and effects of microplastics on humans. Some studies show that when marine animals will eat these microplastics and then humans eat them, the chemicals might cause diseases that our body won’t act up against and, might cause death in severe cases. Also, microplastics are so tiny they can easily get underground affecting agriculture and the soil quality However, microplastics won’t take up the same space and damage to soil/ground regular plastic does in landfills.

    Fun facts!
    1. New Zealand launched an action plan to fight climate change, balance Earth’s temperature, distribute freshwater among everyone, etc.
    2. Various countries have banned single-use and plastic bags from grocery shops and restaurants!
Hopefully, the upcoming generation changes Earth for the best!! :)

if you would agree with me, covid 19 has affected the world both positively and negatively,
No1 positively, in the sense that, during the pandemic, families have more chance to spend more time with each other to create that family bond with one- another. to create that emotional and mental link with them.
(No2) The second positive aspect of COVID-19 is the effect on the environment. Carbon emissions are down globally, No manufacturing and air travel grinding to a halt, the planet has had a chance to relax

The COVID-19 (CORONA VIRUS) was a disease that was first discovered in Wuhan China on December 31st 2019 and it is known for spreading really fast especially when coming in contact with people and it had both Positive and Negative effects on the environment in the world in many aspects.
    POSITIVE EFFECTS
    • It made the Ozone layer go back to normal due to the reduced industrial activity during the lockdown. There was no air pollution from different companies and industries such as Nasco, Cocacola, Pepsi and different oil plants all over the globe and the world.
    • It helped the people in getting back good water supply because due do the fact that most industries and people were forced to go on lockdown the water was not polluted by people and industries which helped the people in getting back good water supply.
    NEGATIVE EFFECTS
    • The COVID-19 increased the rate of deforestation in the country due to the lack of no fuel or gas in order to cook their foods so they began to use the trees as fire wood which affects weather of the environment.
    • The COVID-19 helped in making the streets more dirty because people littered the environment with their face masks.
    • Social gatherings were cancelled so people could no longer go to church or attend events due to the cancelling of social gatherings.

The relationship between climate change and the emergence of COVID-19 !

A new study said that the mechanisms of environmental change in some areas lead to a sharp increase in the diversity of bat species, as scientists found that global climate change, high temperatures, and increased sunlight and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere changed the plant composition and natural habitats of these animals, which led to this.
The diversity and richness of bats that bear this epidemic as Covid 19. Therefore, we find that Covid 19 is linked to climate change, as there are studies that say that this virus is less active in hot weather, and the results of a study indicated that 90% of the spread of Corona infection since the beginning of its appearance occurred in areas with temperatures between 3 degrees and 17 degrees Celsius, that is. In areas with absolute humidity.

But despite all these studies and evidence, we find that most people do not interact with climate change to the same degree of urgency as Covid-19, although the two matters are clearly and completely related as each of them affects the other.

As Covid 19 affected the climate also significantly in several aspects, as the sharp reduction in the travel and movement of individuals and social and commercial activities led to a decrease in the level of air pollution in many regions, and the closures contributed to a decrease in carbon emissions by 25%, which one estimated Scientists have suggested that this may have saved at least 77,000 organisms.

Therefore, we must pay attention to the issue of climate change, because in the end it causes many disasters.

    Covid 19 vs Climate Change
I think people are not reacting quickly to climate change because they don't see such an impact .For example , in Tunisia , most the people don't care about climate change because it doesn't cause as many deaths as Covid-19 moreover people don't know what can happen in the next few years wheras they follow the covid 19 deaths everyday . People don't realize that the earth could be affected and so people lives threatned. Here probably one day people will be aware of what is happening, but that will be too late .

    The environment and Covid-19
The environment is a universal and safe teacher for those who observe it.
Man and the environment are one, protecting the environment is preserving the future of Man. Unfortunately; environmental issues are the harmful effects of human activity. The climate crisis is accelerating at an unprecedented rate, and we are not ready for it.
We say no more wasting time. We must stop doing this planet harm. Too many years of human excess has put our planet under too much stress. Some of the key issues are: Climate change, over pollution (water pollution-plastic pollution-air pollution), deforestation, biodiversity, overpopulation and Food waste.
The time is now for drastic action. If we all just make some changes we could be the ones to turn it all around. First thing to do is stop deforestation a major cause of habitat obliteration ,trees make oxygen that we need to breath no more trees means no more me.
It’s time to stop burning those fossil fuels which cause air pollution.
It's time to embrace a greener solution. Cut the production of single use plastic. We have just one last chance for a green revolution.
Many ignore that the environmental problem has the same importance as that of Covid-19 and the white man also ignores that when the last drop of water is polluted, the last animal hunted and the last tree cut down, the money will not be eaten not.
The pandemic has an immediate impact on our daily lives.
The reduction in our travel has led to the biggest decrease in carbon emissions ever.
The sense of wonder felt in nature could be one of the mechanisms by which time spent outdoors influences the way we behave towards the environment.
One of the effects of doing everything locally during the lock down period has led many of us to spend more time in nature, with enormous benefits to our well-being.
Many of us have benefited from a clearer sky and a less polluted atmosphere thanks to the reduction of our trips and our emissions during periods of confinement.
Behavioral changes that may occur after such events can go hand in hand with significant environmental changes.
It's time to wise up get our act together!

Covid19 is a resporatory diseases that is discovered from a new coronavirus
And climate change is the long term change in the average weather pattern that have come to define Earth's local regional and global climate so if you say that climate change has not affected some part of the world if those countries are involving their selves in activities that contribute to climate change then sooner they will start to experience the change in the climate

I made a fresh start while coming to this school,on the first day i was quite shy and was scared to talk to anyone but i tried to be brave and talk to someone later on we became friends and i started making new friends. Also doing a fresh start can be scary and not as easy as you think, some people are much shyer and find it very hard to make new friends

If your friend wanted to make a fresh start, what advice would you give them?
I would tell them to be brave and try and make new friends and also tell them to try their hardest.

How urgent is it that we address climate change? I believe addressing climate change is a 10 out of 10 rating because most of our animals are on the line of getting extinct because of climate change such as Polar Bear, inged Seal,Monarch Butterfly and the Koala. So much like animals if climate change doesn't end than us humans will become extinct because of extreme weather and the melting ice at the artic so thats why i am being in the opinion that climate change is a world wide situation and is rated 10/10.
Why aren't most people reacting to climate change with the same urgency as covid-19?
Most people arn't reacting to climate change with the same urgency as covid 19 is because they believe climate change is very far from the time we are in right now-which isnt true- and they thing covid could kill everyone as they are constrained to believe as the news has new deaths everyday.
these questions were very intresting ,fun and made my head full ofthoughts,It realy tested my memory! Thanks

    Hello,
I'm proactive_song,today we will talk a bout a virus that has invaded and destroyed the world,It is the Corona virus,Corona virus is one of the most difficult crises facing the world,as it affected all aspects of life. Education is one of these aspects that is highly affected from the Corona pandemic, as children around the world have severely disrupted their education this year and all this due to Covid19 .So the available option for teaching, learning via the Internet (Electronic learning) , and electronic is considered a tremendous crisis, perhaps the most dangerous in our time.
    It has many disadvantages including:
-The increase in repetition rates, the inability of parents to provide the necessary devices for electronic education for their children, and electronic learning also provides in formation to students in a fragmented manner.
Some teachers in electronic learning also face difficulty expressing their opinions and ideas, so we hope that this virus will be controlled to return to our school safely. Do you think that electronic teaching-learning is as benificial as the face-to-face teaching- learning?!
    stay safe proactive_song.

Covid 19 is a pandemic and requires immediate and urgent measures to stop the spread and possibly bring an end to it such moves include wearing face masks, improving on personal hygiene, keeping social distance etc while climate change happens overtime which environmental degradation contributes largely to it we should pay attention to it and put up habits and lifestyles that encourage environmental conservation example going into recycling and discourage littering, planting trees and preserving wildlife and forestry to prevent desertification as well as the water bodies to sustain marine and sea animals/life. Thank you.

The impact of covid19 on the environment is that, during the lockdown there where no factories at business, cars where not moving around and so it reduced the amount of carbon mono oxide produce by some factories and cars into the atmosphere to destroy the ozone layer to cause climate change

The covid 19 has affected a lot because we had to force a lockdown so people could not move from where they were they could not work which earned them a living people died all these things only because of a silly pandemic these effects are more major than climate change. 👍

Covid 19 has come to stay with us in the world. It is not because they have stop announcing on it so that does not mean it is gone , this pandemic is very serious so we must follow the safety measures of the corona virus.Wearing of the face mask is very compulsory washing of hands is also compulsory . Therefore,we must pay attention to issue of climate change, because at the end it may cause many disasters and also skin diseases.
The direct impact of climate change on skin diseases this include effect of extrem weather event such as heavy rainfall, floods and hurricanes which can lead to an increase in skin infection example of climate change diseases are bacterial infection and eczema

    step 3 in my opinion:

Given what climate change might cause,
I chose 10, while searching on the Internet for the positive effects of climate change, I didn't find any of the positives, as everything that climate change causes has negative effects on aspects of life, especially for example this greatly affects Agriculture, where there are agricultural crops that need a specific climate, such as bananas, which need high temperatures and warm weather in order to grow appropriately, and climate change affects the composition of plants and the diversity of animals.

However, we find that most people aren't urgent to address the issue of climate change but they are urgent to address Covid 19, because not all people work in the economy, agriculture and other businesses that are affected by climate change, which means that they believe that they won't be affected by this, but Covid 19 threatens all People are without exception.
But in my opinion, I see that the two matters threaten the world, and both of them require the urgency of searching for a solution, and I also see that Covid-19 is a catastrophe, but climate change is the source of these major disasters in the present and in the future, so the urgent need to deal with climate change is greater than the urgency of dealing with Covid 19.

    STEP 1:
I made a fresh start when the pandemic was first heard of in my country. I made a fresh start because the pandemic was getting severe. It wasn't easy at all because I had to adapt to some new behaviors such as the wearing of the nose mask and practicing of social distancing.
My advice to a friend who wants to make a fresh start is :
    1. He/she should a motive for making a fresh start.
2.He/she should realize his past mistakes and not repeat them.
3.He/she should focus by concentrating on the benefits of making a fresh start.

I made a fresh start when I changed school last year because I wanted to join a day school for my Advanced level. There's alot of different activities at my new school, from the routine to the uniforms...the culture here is dissimilar.
I wasn't sure I could blend in but I made friends quickly and chose to see the good side and new opportunities to embrace. It is not always easy to start over bt its a process that helps you to discover who you are .Its necessary for one to embrace change, explore it and discover what they can do to be useful.

More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people's livelihoods and communities. As climate change worsens, dangerous weather events are becoming more frequent or severe

Because of flood which iscaused as a result of climate change, in 2013 1900 people lost their lifes all over the world. And all this happened as a result of climate change, climate change occurs as a result of the introduction of green house gases into the atnosphere. Examples of green house gases are:1. Carbon dioxide
    2.Methane
3.chlorofluro carbon and Nitrous oxide. Through research, I have known that china is the worst greenhouse producing factories, they produce 28% of the green house gas yearly.
Here are some ways we can reduce climate change, I call them the triple " R".
1.Refuse( We should control the amount of refuse we produce).
2.Reuseable( We should choose reusable things over single use things).
    3. Recycle( We should recycle our waste in a proper way).

Much of the world is covered with oceans which heats up. When the oceans heat up,more water evaporate into the clouds where storms like hurricanes and typhoons are formed ,the result is more energy-intensive storms. A warm atmosphere makes glaciers and mountains show packs, the polar ice cap and the great ice shield jutting off-of Antarctica melt raising sea levels. And without atmospheric greenhouse the earth would be very cold. The evidence is clear that the main cause of climate change is burning of fossil fuel such as oil, coal and gas .When burnt, fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide into the air causing the planet heat up.

NEWS FLASH 3: LIFESTYLE CHANGES CAUSED BY THE PANDEMIC HAVE AFFECTED THE ENVIRONMENT.
The global outbreak of coronavirus disease is affecting every part of human lifes including the physical world. The measures taken to control the spread of the virus and the slow down of economic activities have significant effects on the environments.
This study indicates that the pandemic situation significantly improves air quality in different cities across the world, lessens water pollution and noise, and reduces the pressure on the tourist destination which may assist with the restoration of ecological systems.
Also some negative consequences of COVID-19, such as an increase of medical waste, hapazard use and disposal of disinfectants, mask and gloves; and burden of untreated environments.

People do not also give urgent attention because of ignorance. Most people are ignorant of the fact that climate change is more urgent than the pandemic. Climate change can cause depletion of the ozone layer which means the sun ray is coming direct to the earth surface and when the ozone layer is depleted, there is nothing to do to bring it back but as for the virus we are now get ways to overcome it, example is the vaccine which is out, it has come to control the spread of the virus but when the ozone layer is depleted, there is nothing to do to get it back.

Covid 19 has changed the way we live and work, as various health and safety restrictions keep more of us at home more often. It has impacted negatively and positively on our environment.
One way covid 19 has helped my society is that, it has created a new wave of tools and software. Example, small scale farmers have been embracing technologies as a way to directly sell produce and also the community-supported agriculture and direct-sell delivery systems are on the rise. These methods have benefitted online grocery stores which predominantly sell organic and more local food and can have a positive environmental impact due to customers who prefer to receive deliveries rather than travel to the store by car.
Also online grocery shopping has grown substantially during the pandemic.

Another way covid 19 has helped my country is that, it has increased the inter-county relationship my country has with other countries.
In this time of crisis, my country has received assistance from countries we never had friendly relationships with and has strengthened the bond between us.

Covid 19 has also led to the decrease in the pollution that is air pollution and also blue skies due to fewer cars on our roads. With covid 19 shutting down economic activities in parts of the world and people stay more often at home, the pressure that used to be on the environment has reduced. On our roads for example, due to total and partial lockdowns in our countries, the pressure and traffic on roads has reduced and since the emissions of harmful gases from exhaust pipes of faulty and old vehicles have reduced, the ozone layer is forming and blue skies are also returning.

Covid 19 has also made our entire lifestyle change to practice better hygiene. It has thought us that being hygienic is no longer just a good habit, but the very skill you need for survival.
Times have changed and people are now aware of how it is important to keep yourself clean not only by hand washing but sanitizing and covering mouth when coughing.

Covid 19 have thought us innovations to stay connected and help each other.
The quarantine welcomed ideas, hacks, tricks, and tips to beat the lockdown and help our societies. Companies across countries started coming up with products and service ranges that enable you to be connected as you are and with your loved ones. It helped us to find creative ways to not let the boredom get us.
This led to breakthroughs and innovations which happened for nothing but when the environment demands it, it will be right there.

Coronavirus has made education digitized and affordable.
The pandemic had posed a threat to the whole education system. Schools, universities, and colleges have been shut down. It is saddening but have we looked at the bright side yet? Educational institutions have found a way to overcome this immensely challenging series of events. Classes have begun again, thanks to technology.
Online classes have become the new norm for educational institutions and it has come with some benefits.

With regard to the negative impacts,
The pandemic situation has directly influenced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) defined to be achieved by 2030, since some countries may not allocate financial resources to meet the country specific targets.

Due to the covid 19, many people are losing their jobs and incomes in the formal and informal sectors in the society.

It has also led to decline in religious belief systems and practices in all religions and people are losing their faith in God and other divine and invisible elements in society.

I think people are not reacting to climate change with the same urgency as COVID 19 because :
    1. They are not aware of the effects of climate change on the environment. It is because many people have not seen any impact of climate change.
    2. They do not know that climate change can lead to loss of lives as the COVID-19 are killing many people .
    3. They are not reacting to climate change with much urgency as COVID-19 because COVID-19 is a pandemic meaning it is a global thing and it is experienced everywhere but the climate change is not experienced everywhere.

    Step 2
How has the epidemic changed the world ???
Corona virus is a crisis that began in the Far East of the world in China and began to spread in the countries of the world until it became a global crisis and turned the world upside down and changes occurred that affected all walks of life, may be temporary or continue forever
I will give examples of this:
1- (Social changes) due to the Coronavirus, our relationship with the outside world and our relationship with each other at home have changed, and we have become aware that one of the priorities of life is health and family.
    (Healthy changes)
1- Mark Lawrence, a professor of political science, according to what he said, sees that a new type of patriotism has emerged, and they are not soldiers and soldiers, but doctors, scientists, nurses and pharmacists, which increased their value to people in the world, so we resorted to them in the most severe crises that befell us and our world.
2- The competition increased between pharmaceutical factories to establish vaccines
    3. It helps to discover the problems and gaps that have been solved in the health system in some countries that could not control the epidemic
4- Urging people to wear masks and go to sterilization, whether alcohol-based sterilizer or with soap and water
    (Technology changes)
E-learning (distance education) has become the only way to contact the student with his school or teacher. We here in Palestine started using e-learning about a year ago, and we are still up to now.
But who said I do not encourage e-learning for many reasons
    1. It affects the health of students' eyes due to the long period of time sitting in front of phones and computers
    2. The student does not enjoy the curriculum as he used to in his school
    3. The lack of phones and the Internet in some homes
    4. No matter what experiences, videos and pictures we saw, the information will not reach the student as explained by the teacher. Explaining the teacher is much better and this will affect his academic level.
But due to the current health situation we had to use it
    (Economic changes)
The epidemic has significantly changed the economic sphere in all countries of the world due to the suspension of factories, trade and tourism, and we can say that there has become a depression in the global economy
    (Environmental changes)
1- The rate of harmful gases in the atmosphere decreased due to the decline in economic activities, but some scientists say that this effect is changing
It is not sustainable, and from these emissions, carbon dioxide gas resulting from burning fossil fuels has decreased by 25%.
    2. During the home quarantine period, animals walk the streets in search of food and explore new areas
    3. Snow appeared in the tops of some mountains, and this indicates a positive change.

Climate change is a long-term change in the average weather condition. Whearas COVID-19 is an illness caused by a virus called corona.
People aren't reacting to climate change with urgency as with COVID-19 because of the following :
1.The effect of climate change is not felt like how COVID-19 is felt
2.COVID-19 has an immediate effect on humans whereas with climate change the effect is bit by bit
3.COVID-19 is a pandemic that affects the whole world, health wise, economically, socially whereas climate change is not

For step 3, I would say 10 because not only is climate change change dangerous for the environment but also it leads to loss of income for example in my country tourism is a major source of government revenue . And one of the effects of climate change is desertification. Desertification can lead to destruction of the favourable habitats of wild animals. Thus leading to loss of revenue and leading to long term economic growth. So I would say we need to take climate change very seriously because not only will it lead to destruction of the environment but also collapse of economies and extinction of some animal species

As global temperatures continue to rise, many efforts are exerted to confront climate change. Thus, the opportunities for addressing the crisis diminish. Regardless of this great problem that we are facing, planet Earth is facing a pandemic that is deadly.

It is believed that reducing gas emissions to reduce global warming is a major key point to help save our Earth. Refineries use in the factories has reduced gas emission according to a study implemented in Bangladesh industrial area in one of the cities. Moreover, it is intrinsic to hold accountable those who are unresponsible towards the atmosphere. A question that rises in most of the articles that I have read is the ability to fight global warming back in developing countries and emerging economics. Maybe if we could manage to have funding donor countries to supply and provide tools and services in fighting back this global disease.

Covid-19 pandemic had a great impact over our lives and many countries have been looking for a solution to help the world recover from its crisis. I do believe that fighting this pandemic is urgent and addressing climate change is also another urgent problem that we need to solve. For some, the pandemic is related to weather. The world doesn’t have enough information to address the problem of the pandemic. When we have problems related to the population of the world, we cannot control solutions. We need to keep into consideration the different cultures and attitudes towards fighting one problem over the other.

I do believe that both problems need to be addressed urgently and simultaneously.

    Step 2
Has everyone around the world witnessed the same changes ???
    of course no
The effect of Corona on the environment varies according to the location and terrain, for example, snow will not fall in the desert, and water will not be filtered on its summit from mountains, so there has been a positive change appropriate for each region, and the residents have noticed that.
    1. For example, those who live in the Italian city of Venice have clearly seen the return of the water to the lanes of the city of Venice, and the water became clearer due to the retreat of the tourist boats that were traveling in it.
    2. The population in China also saw a significant decline in nitrogen oxide emissions, according to pictures taken by NASA in February this year.
    3. Also, those who live in India witness a decline in carbon emissions for the first time in four decades, by 15% in March and 33% in April, as well as decreased demand for coal, which led to a decrease in the use of coal by 15% in the month of March. Indian and Chinese universities indicate that the number of deaths in India will be reduced by 650 thousand people if the current purity of air is preserved
    4. As for the people in Kenya, they are seeing snow on the summit of Mount Kenya for the first time
    5. Likewise, in Palestine we have witnessed positive changes in wildlife. The percentage of wild thyme, irises, and prickles increased after they were threatened with extinction, as well as due to the return of workers to their homes. During the quarantine period, which prompted many of them to reform their agricultural lands, which led to the flourishing of plant and wild life in Palestine.
From my point of view, I see that all these changes will disappear if the world returns to its harmful activities, and the matter may get worse. Therefore, we must choose new methods and systems that meet their needs while preserving the environment because it is our responsibility all together.
In order to maintain a healthy life free from pollution for our children and future generations and support sustainable development

Many ignore that the environmental problem has the same importance as that of Covid-19 and man also ignores that when the last drop of water is polluted, the last animal hunted and the last tree cut down, the money will not be eaten not.

Due to covid-19 pandemic , sporting activities were closed down. The government thought that when people go to the stadia to watch football, it is the most common way to spread Covid -19. If the climate changes people go to the stadia to watch football games and this provided football teams with money . But due to covid -19, stadia have been closed down and has reduced the income of sports.
Furthermore, covid-19 has brought about loss of jobs .Due to covid-19 many industries across the globe were closed down and workers were asked to go home but climate change does not have any virus to allow government to close down industries.

    Step 1
If my friends wanted to make a fresh start, I would support them, and my advice would be to never give up on your dreams and nothing is impossible.
    Step 2
    Flash 1:
How has the pandemic changed the world?
The coronavirus pandemic has reached almost every countrie in earth. Almost in every countrie now lockdowns to tackle the spread of the virus, and that means schools and work have to be locked.
Biggest impact on the environment to th3 smallest impact on the environment
    • Flash 5
    • Flash 7
    • Flash 4
    • Flash 6
    Flash 8:
How has the pandemic changed your lifestyle? Have this affected the environment?
The pandemic changed many people's lifestyle, for example, people used to spend lots of time outdoors but now they barely get out, also me, as a student I am not going to school anymore because of the lockdown and that's affecting my education, and that doesn't really do much by ruining the environment.
    • Flash 9-10-11
9:It shows how we have less water pollution, and thats helping the world/environment.
10-11: less air pollution, let's traffic, and nature
    Flash 12:
    2. Probably because there is less pollution, less traffic and a different environment and people might feel happy about it people might not.
    3. Everyone who go from a place to another might see those different places and differences, but people who stay at a certain place might not, it's because they are always at the same place, and they see no changes
How can the pandemic be an opportunity for a fresh start?
To have a fresh start, we need nature, better environment, less traffic, and because of the pandemic/lockdown we have them all, so this might be a fresh start for us and our country.

Many ignore that the environmental problem has the same importance as that of Covid-19 and man also ignores that when the last drop of water is polluted, the last animal hunted and the last tree cut down, the money will not be eaten not.

Did/Does Covid-19 have a positive impact or negative effects on our environment? What about both?

Climate change is an overall known natural phenomenon that endangers us, humans. During complete lockdown which was the best way to prevent the transmission of the virus by safety measures and helped the environment since individuals couldn't produce any destructive gases from vehicles nor airplanes. However, Covid-19 lockdowns affected a person’s mental health and caused a student who’s learning virtually to be overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. It is suggested that to use electric/solar panel powered vehicles to purify the air. Also, using public transport and putting filters are great thoughts to be performed that help the environment to regain some of its purity. According to water pollution, it is better if we prevent oil leaks and collect/recycle/reuse waste to save marine animals so that to preserve water. It is also essential to use natural compost from the remaining food to diminish chemical fertilizers that affect the environment in catastrophic ways.

Thankfully, Covid-19 has let the Earth take a deep breath and reset the environment. Now we have to take matters into our own hands since actions speak more than words do.

The picture on the left side talks about a river in Venice clear after six decades. The lockdown helped this part of the environment . Because of the lockdown, people stopped coming to the river to do activities that pollute the river.
And between the two pictures talks about a mountain rage. Because of the lockdown mountains obtained their natural resources. And the last one talks about two lions sleeping on the road. Because of the lockdown there is a reduction of cars on the road which creates a space for animals.

While browsing the Internet, I found a news in which the Syndicate of Poultry Farms and Animal Production in my country revealed the extent of the damage that occurred recently, as these damages amounted to nearly 3 million shekels (the shekel is the currency in our country), where the damages are equal to 921364.60 US dollars) and all this is due to high degrees Heat or rather climate change, and this is an example of the damage from climate change, so we really have to address climate change urgently.

Because we are still dealing with this issue with ignorance, and because many are unaware of the seriousness of climate change and the harm it may cause in the future to the environment and lives. And in my opinion, we should react with this issue as we are dealing now with covid-19.

I started a new beginning almost a year ago when the home quarantine started, I moved to live with my grandmother, and there was no one of my age to spend time with him. I follow lessons via distance learning and I practice my hobby in embroidery. I have a talent for embroidery, and it is considered one of the Palestinian heritage. Then I started to learn a language I love and I have a tendency to learn it.
Then I started creating pictures with phrases on them, some of them written by me and some of them by famous personalities such as scholars and philosophers, and I used to read novels. I love reading, especially reading novels, as it attracts me more than any other type of books.
Although I do not have the talent for drawing, I used to follow channels on YouTube and learn from them to draw and draw amazing things
Then I began to learn many simple Palestinian dishes and became perfect them they are very delicious
And I have continued these activities until now, even when I was infected with the Coronavirus, I kept doing them and I noticed a great change in my personality even around me noticed this and told me about it, as I was liked loneliness and isolation somewhat and a little talk and shy most of the time, but after I did what I liked and I communicated with Others, I had the courage to speak, express opinions, and interact with the community and family, it was really a useful and successful start !!
It was that filling my spare time with what I like while reconciling with my lessons and sitting with my grandmother and family was a little difficult
Therefore, I advise everyone who wants to start a new beginning. This beginning should be useful to him first and not affect him negatively, and to be convinced of it and have a goal that he wants to reach with this beginning. I also advise him to have confidence in himself and the strength of persistence and determination because every beginning is difficult. And I advise you also, when you start a new start, take the advice of the adults around you and let them support and encourage you at that beginning so that you can continue

The earth's atmosphere has always acted like a greenhouse to capture the sun's heat ensuring that the earth has enjoyed temperature that permit the emergences of life.
Today,we have opposite problems. The problems is not that too little, the sun is reaching the earth, but too much is being trapped in our atmosphere.
So much heat is being kept inside greenhouse earth that the temperature of the earth is going up faster than than before.

    Palestine, The Holy Land
Hello everyone! I from Palestine, which is really well-known in lots of things. Jerusalem, the city of the prayer as Fayrouz once indicated it. It is the country of history, epics, and religions. It has lots of holy places for different civilizations. If you head to Jerusalem, you will smell history fragrant. Starting from Al-Aqsa Masjid and ending with Church of the Holy Sepulchre, you will love Palestine whatever your religion is. Muslim, Christian or even Jewish, Palestine is the center of the three main Abrahamic religion, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. You can find holy places for everyone of them wherever you go. You can find The Dome of the Rock for Muslims, Church of Nativity for Christians, and Hurva Synagogue for Jews, lots of different places you cannot conclude in one speech about. It is Palestine, the holy land, the promised land, and the pilgrimaged one, different names for the same place. Holy places in Palestine are everywhere. Therefore, you can notice the difference between Palestine and any other country. You can find tombs of a lot of good people lived here. Moses himself came back here, and Jesus refused to get out of it. Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, they all did the same. Consequently, Palestine with its holy places is the heart of the world. Not only do Muslims care about Jerusalem but also Christians talked about it. For instance, Leonardo Da Vinci drew “Madonna of Rocks” describing the virgin Marry in bearing Jesus in Bethlehem, Church of Nativity. Palestine has diverse stories in its holy places, somethings you cannot be aware of all of which- somethings you cannot imagine. Palestine is the holy land with its holy places. I hope that everyone can smell history in Palestine holy places. In conclusion, “We will pray in Jerusalem” Fayrouz said.💙⭐

    Step 3
Why do most people not react to climate change with the same urgency as the Corona virus ???
In this question, I will give my opinion and the reasons I expect
I expect that people interacting with the Corona virus is faster than climate change is due to several reasons, including:
    1. The effects of the Corona virus on people are faster than the effects of climate change because climate change has its effects that come over the years, but the Corona crisis in one year has turned the world upside down.
    2. Because it affects the population and their health directly, unlike climate change, which affects people after long periods
    3. Because its effect on the world's population is one and equal, but climate change does not affect all regions of the world equally, for example, climate change in the poles of the frozen poles differs from climate change in the plains and lakes
4- Some people think that climate change occurred because of developed countries and their factories only, and that it is the first reason for this change. Do not pay attention to it and think that it will not be affected by it, so do not use methods that reduce this environmental pollution.
Unlike Corona virus, which spreads very quickly, all the world's population may be the cause of its spread if they do not abide by the procedures, so they wear masks and sterilize
5- I think that one of the reasons for people to interact with Corona virus quickly, unlike climate change, is that the Corona crisis came suddenly to the world and stopped life and imposed itself strongly, unlike climate change, which increases gradually over the years and did not stop much work and did not affect life as did the crisis Corona Virus

During lockdown in my country, this are some positive impact of covid-19.
    1.Deforestation rates changed.
    2.Industrial activities were shut down.
3.12 months ago air has perhaps been the single greatest positive effect.
    4.The rivers became more clear.
    5.Fewer cars were crashing.
    6.Crimes were falling.

People are interested in Corona 🦠more than climate change because it has a direct and fast effect on our health and body, and it’s damage has reached every single person. Our lives have been changed due to (Covid 19)
I feel sad😞 that I will not be able to see my friends 🌸because the virus has prevented us from going to schools and meeting others.
We used to celebrate holidays in Ramadan and invite others to share food with us, and now we cannot do that anymore..
I cannot visit my grandmother 👵🏻because she has a chronic disease and I am afraid 😟that she might get infected with this dangerous virus 🦠
... We in the Gaza Strip have the highest population density in the world, therefore controlling the spread of the virus is very difficult. We in Gaza suffer from the siege, and lack of resources. There are not enough hospitals nor enough intensive care rooms, and thus the virus spreads quickly and we have lost a lot of our beloved people, but it is noticed that awareness has increased ... and we are witnessing more and more people who are committed to wear masks and practicing social distancing.

Dealing With A Pandemic And A Climate Crisis In The 21st Century
Both climate change and Covid-19 are considered big problems that humans are facing these days. But unfortunately, people don't give them the same amount of attention. Personally, I think that that's because Covid-19's effects were faster than the climate change's and more noticeable by people because of the deaths and the chaos it caused in a brief period of time. However, climate change has been an issue for over 100 years, and people don't care about it as they used to do . They probably think that it's over by now just because they can't see what's actually happening to our planet and they don't realize the consequences they're going to face in the future .

Regarding my country,Gaza , there were not many closures due to Covid-19 ,and we didn't see many changes to the environment, but what we hear and read about the charges that are taking place in the world , there are many jealousies , including the closures that lasted for months, the significant decrease in people's travel and movement, and economic problems . These results are negative, I know, but there are positive impact on the environment as a result of the existence of these negative influence like : 1_ low level of air pollution in many places, 2_ A 25 percent reduction in carbon emissions, which may have saved more than 77,000 organisms over a two - month period, 3_ And that the globe , after hundreds of years, has returned as if it were young, without pollution, in its air , water, and mountains .

COP26 stands for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in late 2021, and this conference is held annually to propose many approaches on how to overcome global environmental problems (such as climate change, global warming, and rising sea levels). Lebanon is affected by various forms of pollution (water pollution, air pollution), and if the goals match, this will lead to the development of Lebanon and get rid of these toxins that negatively affect the citizens and the environment.

    Suggestions:
Educating people about the consequences and negative aspects that may arise in the event of climate change and more environmental problems (strict laws if education does not work)
    * Purification of sewage and rain water for agricultural use
    * Expanding groundwater reservoirs to collect more rainwater
    * Use of filters
    * Use of public transportation
    * Reforestation after forest fires
    * Many factories emit more fossil fuels
    * Replace chemical fertilizers with compost
    * Successful individuals who dump waste illegally
    * Dependence on renewable energy sources of energy for livelihoods (natural gas, nuclear energy, wind energy)
    * It has strict laws regarding various pollution (no litter on beaches, use bikes on specific days)
    * Reducing and replacing all plastics with sustainable, environmentally friendly materials (bamboo toothbrushes, cloth bags in stores, bottled water, metal, and silicone instead of plastic)

My life began to change as of March 19,2020, when the virus entered Palestine, starting whith its entry into suffering, fatigue and fear,so life became difficult and began to change, so we cold not go to school and we were deprived of learning, and distance learning became and we faced great difficulties due to the lack of electricity and the difficult financial capabilities,as well as we were deprived of seeing friends arelatives and lovid ones, and fear fill the hearts of our family .To lose one of our lofed ones and our people and we live betweem the walls of the house and we cannot get out of it .Our life has been twrned we be side down ,filled with fear and banic, and the only friend to us is the mobile ,which is the link between us and those we lofe.Yes, we are lifing in a real tragedy. The spread of the corona virus causes many chages, both positive and negative, positive changes in light of the stoppage of most industries, the conoentretion of carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide in the world has decreased, which is a gas emitted from car and factory exhausts and is the largest cause of air pollution in many cities and under stone. The health field became open.In front of some animals to discover the world and the lack of traffic in the streets, small animals became extinct, the water was clean, and the reason for this was the lack of movement of tourist centers, and the lack of transport ships in the seas gave space for marine creatures such as whales to help calmly and without disturbance. As for the negative changes,i I am.One of the negative effects of the pandemic is the large increase in plastic waste, beginning with medical gloves and passing through the packaging .The reason for the is that people tend to have packed and packed meals and also the climate crisis, and despite the reduction in heat emissions since the beginning of the karuna crisis, it is unlikely that this improvement will have a strong impact on .Long-term.

Most people don't react urgently to climate change like they do with Covid 19 because of ignorance and also because the effects of Covid 19 are very serious .Example is the rapid loss of lives in the world.
But climate change is also very dangerous and has serious effects on the environment and agriculture. For example; farmers in the Northern Region of Ghana know that the dry season starts from late November to somewhere March but due to climate change the rainfall sometimes comes earlier or later than expected which makes their efforts wasteless.

Fist of all, climate is the average weather condition of a place over a long time while climate change is a change in global or regional climate pattern, in particular a change apparent from the mid to the late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased level of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. So,in my point of view,to help curb the situation, the public should be educated on the adverse effects of climate change and how it can affect us in future .This is because the public do not know the effects of climate change and they also have no idea on how climate change will affect us or the future generation if care is not taken.
*Also, there should be a law which is against the activities of people who cut down trees for their personal benefits and those people should be dealt with drastically if they do not adhere to the law.

I think that the reason people don't care about the issue of climate change is their preoccupation with other things, where those things have a clear and complete impact, such as Covid 19, and this is the biggest evidence that people only think in the present not the future, but the current impact of climate change is gradual and sequential, so people don't insist on the need to address this issue, but its large and dangerous effects will appear in the future and the coming years.
So, we must find a solution to the climate change problem before it is too late and the problem exacerbates, when it is impossible to solve it.

The Corona virus is a deadly weapon, which has managed, within several months, to change the way of life significantly, in most countries of the world, and forced people in them to change their habits and ways of life, including the ways of their worship, activities and jobs.

The centers, cafes and restaurants were empty of their visitors, the streets were empty of cars and pedestrians, factories and companies were disrupted, and students abandoned schools and universities. In this time,
Ramadan is the month of the family gathering par excellence, and with the spread of Corona, the commitment to home has become the lived reality. On the first Friday after the suspension of congregational prayers and restrictions on movement. There is no Friday prayer, no group, no Tarawih prayer, no qiyaam, no Eid prayer, no feasts, no visits between families and between relatives and groups.
It turned from face-to-face visits to virtual meetings.

Even our health and sports habits have changed with Corona, as most gyms around the world have closed to limit the spread of the virus, which has prevented millions of people from going to clubs and practicing their usual activities, which prompted some to bring the club to the roof of the house.

The addition of masks, nose and face shields is an integral part of the general dress.
Through the design of thousands of these beautiful and elegant masks that are suitable for the event
Today, with the Coronavirus, attention and politics have shifted towards securing travel in terms of health.
By reviewing a health office, it carries out preliminary checks that indicate that it is healthily qualified to travel, such as temperature, blood sample analysis, and measuring heart rate and breathing.
Also, through changing the uniform of the plane's crew, as special outfits were designed and produced to confront Corona, similar to the clothes of astronauts.

In addition to the changes that occurred in the passengers' seating pattern in the departure hall, or in the distribution of aircraft seats, or in how meals are distributed inside the plane, or in the management of bathrooms, or entertainment and entertainment equipment, and other matters when the passenger is inside the plane.

As the countries of the world summoned their armed forces to impose strict measures to restrict movement in the streets ... and assist medical personnel and begin sterilizing public facilities.
Obsessive disease that afflicts many people from the intensive use of sterilizers and cleaning materials, frequent hand washing, washing clothes quickly after going out for one time, daily showering for more time, hot water, and rationing out of homes and visits.

Also, the fact that the children did not meet face to face led to an increase in learning difficulties

As we all know 70% of the earth surface is covered with water,And climate change means melting of ice bergs and melting of ice bergs also means rising in sea level. If we do not stop climate change, the whole earth surface would be covered by water. Depletion of the ozone layer, melting of ice bergs and rising in sea level are all negative effect of climate change to the environment but do not have immediate effect as compared to the pandemic, most people loss their lives and that of their loved ones everyday, these is one of the effect of the pandemic and these effect is immediate after the person contracts the virus , but the depletion of the ozone layer, melting of ice bergs and rise in sea level do not have immediate effect but most people do not know that these negative effect of climate change which comes as a result of human activities such as Burning fossil fuel, crude oil and coal will affect the generation to come. Guys I personally think climate change is urgent and needs 95% of attention even if not 100%.

Coronavirus has caused numerous negative impact on almost everyone.
Exposure to PM and ozone induces oxidative stress in respiratory epithelial cells leading to damage.
There are some negative consequencesof covid-19on the environment, such as increase of medical waste, haphazard use and disposal of infectants masks, gloved and burden of untreated wastes continuously endamaging the enviroment.
How has the environment been positively impacted?
Less traffic, less human invention and less pollution gave space to wildlife to thrive.
The easiest solution to climate change is "planting new forests(afforestation) or restoring old one (restorestation).
And i also think we choose to live in walkable smart-growth cities andtowns with public transportation that leads to less driving, less money spent on fuel and less pollution of the air.

Qn: HOW COULD THE PANDEMIC BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A FRESH START?
    1. The pandemic has taught citizens to listen to the government. When the government started to educate people about Covid-19, they didn't believe until they saw the large of people dying in the world and increasing infections.
So, now the government can sensitize more about the climate change and they will believe it since they trust the government.
    2. Also company owners and other business managers got losses. These enabled them to re-think their strategies to get more profits than before the pandemic. One could be using less plastic to package their products which reduces soil pollution.

more than climate change.ain't what about climate change climate change is the long-term change of the average weather pattern that has come to define earth local regional and global climate.this make people think that climate change does not occur but it's occur gradual that it will take such a long period to prove its effect on earth while covid 19 can take a short period to prove it effect on Earth.

Hello! I live in Sousse, Tunisia.
Today; 22nd, we celebrate Earth Day. This Day is a day to remember and to take care of our planet, Earth. We can take care of our planet by keeping it clean and by following the rule of "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”. On Earth Day, we remind ourselves and everyone on Earth that we must do these things every day, not just on Earth Day. We can reduce our use of resources like water, we can reuse many things such as jars, plastic bags and boxes and finally we can keep Earth clean by recycling materials such as aluminum, paper and plastic.
(For this day I give you a poem about Earth Day):
“Our Earth is special, there's just one.
It gives us water, soil and sun
People and animals share the land,
Let's all lend a helping hand!!
You can save water, and plant a tree
Make a better home for you and me.
    Recycle things, don't throw away.
Make every day on Earth Day!”
I wish you will like this poem. Please, we must all do our part and we can make a difference!

    step 1
Since the outbreak of corona virus in the state of Palestine we were suffering from a curfew my sister went to live with my grandmother, I was at home alone and I did not do anything boredom was killing me daily there was no remote study or we were not allowed to leave the house , I never took advantage of my day but after so long on this boring routine I decided to make a fresh start in which I fully utilize my day earned a craft of embroidery and learn to cook and I got really good at it and that was really fun, I tried to draw but I'm not good at it I try really hard to get a little good at it and after a lot of tries I got it a little better after a while we went back to school and the Health crisis in our country worsened then we went back to curfew again and now I benefit a lot from my day there is distance education and there are politicians that occupy our daily time like this one, radical change took place in my personality after the new start I used to hate reading in school and I also did not like to sit alone now I am anxious to go back to school and study their I love to sit alone and read books and I hope this ordeal will end when we return to my normal life

    step 2
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in China and its spread in the world in a rapid and unnoticeable way it infect as many as well as total lives of others and change the course of our lives change the features of the entire world and changes occurred in several areas some positive and some negative Of these changes

*(The economic field ) : the coronavirus had a significant negative impact on the economic field the global economy has been affected very badly it takes a long time to recover unemployment has spread and job opportunities have decreased leading to the inability of many people in their homes to provide a livelihood

*(The social feel ) : there have been many positive effects on Society for Corona such as bringing families closer together and knowing each other and the curfews imposed in countries as well as strengthening cooperation between countries to address the epidemic and help each other

*(The healthe filed ) : is one of the areas that have been negatively affected by the coronavirus such as the infection of many people in the loss of many of their loved ones the imposition of curfews and traveling most countries of the world the commitment is social distancing in the increase in pressure on Health Resources in the emergence of crises in poor countries and their inability to provide the symbol types of treatment for the sick

*( The political field) : there is cooperation between the countries of the whole world to confront the epidemic and create a vaccine to save the world

*(The technological field ) : emergency great positive role of social networking sites in Hmong people
Corona has had some positive changes to Nature as forms of environmental pollution have been reduced animals have returned to reproduce and their numbers increased and the ozone hole has been closed among other things
we hope to return to normal life

    step 2
How to shut down help the environment??
The lockdown in curfew has had significant positive impacts on the environment Nature has changed for the better and noticeably in some areas such as
1- this led to a decrease in global temperature in a decrease in global warming emissions due to factory closures by 25% which one scientist Frazetta does saving 77,000 animals at least in 2 months
    2- Arctic ozone hole closed
3- the Waters of Venice became cleaner and More Beautiful due to the lack of movement of ships moving sediments in it in the return of a number of marine animals to live in these channels
4- some animals were seen wandering around the cities after their closure and turtles were seen laying their eggs on beaches that they previously avoided due to the population in the black bears due to traffic accidents at an estimated rate of 58%
In my opinion this positive change is very beneficial to Nature in our lives as well therefore we humans must keep it thriving and do our best to keep it permanently thrivig

    step 3
Why most people do not react to climate change to the same degree as they do with a Corona virus???
There is reasons in my opinions. I hope you like it
1- the speed at the spread of Corona its risks and its negative repercussions on the world is faster than the spread of climate risks and its negative repercussions on the world
2- the negative effects of climate take a long time to show its effects on society compared to Corona significant negative effects quickly emerged in less than a year
3- coronavirus similar negative or positive effects on the whole world while climate change differs from one country to another due to difference rain and a difference in its location on the earth such as climate change in the Arctic is not similar to climate change on the equator
4- there are people whose interest conflicts with measures taken to limit climate change affect them negatively but Corona close trade routes skilled workers and enter the market in the commercial depression so people were forced to close factories

In my opinion, when people interact with a problem and ignore another problem, they will eventually find a solution to the problem they interacted with because they put all their efforts into solving it, but what about the other problem? They will lose control of it because it has worsened and expanded so widely. The problem could have been resolved at first, but they didn't.

Hi everyone! We agree that the corona virus has caused a lot of human loss and above all has affected our daily life but seeing the good sides of things we meet that covid 19 has a lot of advantage and especially on the planet and the world. environment Containment, good for air quality At the start of 2020, the world is going through an unprecedented crisis. The coronavirus responsible for a deadly Covid-19 pandemic is spreading. In the hope of limiting its spread, populations are contained. The savings, shut down. The side effect is a dramatic drop in outdoor air pollution.
The global economic downturn has had a significant impact on the environment. Pollution and the greenhouse effect have been drastically reduced in several regions of the world. These are indirect, but positive results of this unprecedented pandemic. Restrictions on economic activity, air, land and sea traffic, as well as the closure of industries and the confinement of the population have led to a surprising decrease in environmental pollution and greenhouse gaz emissions.

The economic slowdown caused by the pandemic is expected to have an impact equal to or greater than that of the 2008 global recession on emissions. In other words, we will have an absolute drop in global carbon emissions by the end of 2020 and maybe even until 2021 or 2022. Thanks to the containment of the population, wild animals have been observed in some cities: a puma in Santiago de Chile, a wild boar in the streets of Barcelona, or a civet in India The first country to reduce its level of environmental pollution was China, the world's largest polluter and source of the coronavirus epidemic in last december. The concentration of nitrogen dioxide, one of the most common pollutants in urban areas, has decreased by 30 to 50% in several major Chinese cities, compared to the same period in 2019. Experts say the epidemic paradoxically saved more lives than the deaths it caused. In China, an average of 1.1 million people die each year from pollution. Despite these signs of environmental recovery, researchers fear this disruption may be short-lived, especially if global awareness does not arise once the pandemic is behind us. Today is planet day
so I wanted to send a message you must protect the planet we must also do it for us young people because it is our future without it we will not have existed

    welcome everybody...
I think that Covid 19 has affected the environment a lot in almost all respects, but many of us are ignorant of how it affected ... They know that it has affected, but they think it only negatively affected and this is wrong thinking ...
Because Covid 19 really made us think about the environment, it made us see things that we did not see and do not care about ....
He made us see that everything has positives and negatives .... For example, Covid 19 is one of its disadvantages, anxiety, fear, and frequent deaths and diseases, but really its benefits are great. This pandemic came to make people think, and perhaps after the end of the pandemic, people will still think about their health and their lives more because of it ....
And then people will think about everything around them and care about everything ...
It is our nature to correct our mistakes and not repeat them ....
    Thank you

I do believe that climate change action is a priority so it is very urgent to act now. Some other issues can be faced and solved but climate change 's effects are more and more alarming. It' s a pity I don't see effective cooperative plan or strategy to reduce climate change impacts as stopping it immediately is not obviously easy. I can see individual calls for actions but governments as well as individuals are not really taking this seriously. From time to time we cry our dears when we witness floods or fires because of heat waves. Still most of us we quickly forget and go back to our normal life. Are there plans or strategies? Are there for short or long terms? Am really eager to discover this during these weeks of global discussion.

You mentioned that you don't see "effective cooperative plan or strategy to reduce climate change" but note that there are examples of individual calls for actions - I wondered if you (or anybody) could think about and elaborate on
      1) what individual calls to actions might be effective if done cooperatively;
      2) what an effective cooperative strategy might look like; and
      3) how these might be different to existing strategies (perhaps think about "The Paris AgreementT, or carbon-neutral energy targets by governments and international bodies such as the European Union).

I have an answer to your question it's very clear to me the grown-ups don't think it's important. they don't care about the future of the planet and our environment because they don't have much time left to live in any case no less than that of our planet if we continue to be irresponsible. it is us that we are going to be affected. the ozone layer is deteriorating more and more, well the Covid 19 prevented it a bit since people are afraid of dying we wash our hands all the time and we disinfect them but how long will this last soon it will stop you know the best way to gain their attention is to scare them to tell them the truth well we have already done it by the advertisements the displays the documentaries ... and with that things we move people we start to act but not all i am heartbroken when i meet that there are people who do not believe that we are really in danger that our planet is in danger yes yes it is true what do they want? when will they react ?? When we die when we can no longer do anything me personally I hurdles it's people because two our generation could not live properly you call it a life the natural disasters that happened before once a year now c 'has become our daily life global warming that did not exist before now we are witnessing storms in summer the climate is hot in winter. Friends we must finish our fight the one we lead years ago we will prove to them that all is not lost.

Step 1• I made a fresh start which was during the lockdown period because it was imperative that I take some cautious steps to stay healthy and alive .
My movement was restricted, I suddenly increased my fruits and vegetables intake, washing my hand and using of face mask which became an uncomfortable ritual.
It was not much of a fun starting afresh but it dawned on me that to stay alive, adjustments have to be welcome.
I would advise my friend that wants to make a fresh start to think of the positive sides of life.

Step 2 (4) In the order from the biggest impact to the smallest impact on the environment; Image 5-4-6-7 and in the order from happy to keep to unhappy to keep; Image 6-7-4-5.

I think that people don't react to climate change, because if they really care about this issue, they will have consequences that they don't like, such as stopping factories that use substances that harm the climate and that work on the emergence of global warming such as plastic, also people are cutting trees to expand industrial cities and this also causes climate change.
What I mean by my words is that people ignore this issue because the results of their response to this issue and their insistence to find a solution to it, they think that this will affect their economy in general and the factories, but they do not know that not responding to climate change will harm them more and worse, but they are ignorant of how much this phenomenon is dangerous.

Hi enigmatic_technology - great point which hits at the heart of tackling the climate change crisis over the next few decades. To dig deeper into your comment, how do you think people should be informed of the dangers of climate change and, more importantly, convinced of the need to take action (in spite of the consequences of, for example, shutting down fossil fuel factories)? What countries could you use to as an example where the switch to renewable energy has actually provided an economic benefit in the long term?

For example, Germany, Germany became pioneers in the use of renewable energy, and the dependence on fossil fuels became low and all this had a positive impact on Germany's climate.
Germany was also able to generate electricity in larger quantities through renewable energy from fossil fuels, and Germany became a leader in the economy Materials that depend on renewable energies in the world, and Germany aspires to completely stop using fossil fuels.

Step 3• my response will be on a scale of 9 ,reason: my reason being that using my country Nigeria as a case study the health risk associated is quite high and they are expected to increase over the years due to our activities which have direct and indirect impact on climate changes.
Policies have been made but enforcement are not ensured to guide against climate disasters.
Some of our activities include daily emissions from factories, bakeries ,faulty automobiles on the road, Bush burning, deforestation, wrong disposal
of chemical waste from oil companies and domestic waste from homes. All of these add up to deplete our ozone layer, increase in temperature, sea level and rain fall. Unfortunately the children, elderly and poor people which are quite a lot in my country are vulnerable to the devastating effects of extreme Weather and the coping capability of this group of people will be quite low
In conclusion: I have heard and seen hundreds of people displace by flood, thousands dying of diseases and sickness caused by effect of climate change therefore we need to respond quickly to climate issues.

Step 3 , In my opinion I think the reason why the respond to covid-19 pandemic was high in my country is because of international influence not because we would have necessarily done something about it because the percentage of people that died of covid in my country is quite low( according to NCDC and worldometer recorded a death toll of 2061) compared to other countries in world at large while the people that die from the impact of climate disasters is huge. The response to climate change is quite low because people both in the government and general have little or no idea about the impact of climate change and issues on our existence.

town located in the West Bank Jericho is one of the earliest continuous settlements in the world, dating perhaps from a bout 9000 BCE
Archaeological excavations have demonstrated Jericho's lengthy history. The city's site is of great archaeological importance;it provides evidence of the first development of the first steps toward civilization

Here are a dozen easy, effective ways each one of us can make a difference:
    Speak up! ...
Power your home with renewable energy. ...
    Weatherize, weatherize, weatherize. ...
    Invest in energy-efficient appliances. ...
    Reduce water waste. ...
Actually eat the food you buy—and make less of it meat. ...
    Buy better bulbs. ...

Covid 19 and climate change are both considered as big problems, but the problem here is that, these two big problems do not get the same attention needed. Most people gives attention to covid 19 than climate change because of the immediate effect of the pandemic, and the immediate death but unfortunately climate change has been a problem of over 100 years and people are not giving it any more attention because they do not see it immediate effect to our planet(earth) they do not realise it effect on us in the nearest future.

Do you think that reducing an industrial economy's carbon dioxide missions to near zero is very hard?

Hi bold_impression - given the dependence most industries have on carbon (which produces carbon dioxide emissions) it is indeed going to be very difficult to reduce to near zero. This is why the current worldwide "Paris Agreement" on climate change sets a target for "net zero" by 2050 (meaning that, while there may be some carbon dioxide emissions by industries, this can be counterbalanced by other means such as carbon capture). Can you think of a few ways how an industry could reduce its carbon dioxide emissions to "net zero"?

Climate change has great effects and damages to human life on animals as it destroys the environment. Climate change is a sudden increase in temperatures, which affects human health and the spread of infectious diseases and affects agriculture and animals. If the temperature rises significantly, it may lead to the death of animals and damage to crops, and this leads to a crisis It is economical in the country, so the government has to solve it, and I think that climate change works to pollute the environment and the air, such as factory smoke and car smoke. This leads to air pollution, and they should not use modern manufactured machines that work to emit pollution and they can rely on natural energy sources such as the sun. And the winds, I wonder why the government and the leaders of the country are not interested in solving the problems of climate change I wonder what is the solution that solves the problem of climate change if there is no support from developed and rich countries !

    Happy Earth Day!!
Earth is what we all have in common. Today was Earth Day, and we got granted a huge gift (Earth) so to preserve it, my family and I decided to invite some of our neighbors to collect plastic and waste, feed stray animals, classify our trash, we also went on a beach walk to step into the sunshine and picked up trash left by others to raise awareness and, others joined us too! We stayed safe by wearing masks, social distancing, and sanitizing tools, bags and our hands :) Furthermore, we donated plastic to charities that collect plastic and turn them into toys for kids in need! Also, we purchased plants and add some freshness and greenery to the park. However, we don’t need to be kind to our Earth only one day every year, every day we should change the bad habits that are creating environmental issues so that future generations won’t suffer from bad air quality, unbalanced temperature, and possibly new air/water-borne diseases that’ll risk humanity.
What did you do on Earth Day?

Here in Ghana, I think the media houses are also contributing to the reason why people are reacting to COVID 19 urgently more than climate change. This is because they usually report on the rampant spreading and effects of COVID 19 every single day but this is not the same with climate change. And by doing so people are not informed about the effects of climate change but the minds of the people are rather drawn to COVID 19

The Corona pandemic affected the environment and climate, and the sharp reduction in the travel and movement of individuals and social and commercial activities led to a decrease in the level of air pollution in many countries. The closures and other measures contributed to a decrease of 25 percent of carbon emissions, which saved 77,000 living creatures over a period of two months. The world and its negative effects have clearly emerged through climate fluctuations, frequent droughts and sudden floods, and with the emergence of the Corona pandemic, countries have taken measures such as home quarantine and people staying in their homes is in the interest of the planet and that despite the absence of any benefits of the current backward, what ensued from the ban Unnecessary movements and the imposition of complete lockdown measures in some countries has made it possible for us to monitor the changes that are occurring on our planet due to the absence of its inhabitants in general for the first time ever, as is the case now, and now I want to ask you a question: Should we return to transportation in vehicles and travel by planes as we used to before. ??

Of course they won't, now all that matters to people is when they will get out of this epidemic and get rid of the epidemic, they do not care what this epidemic is and its effects, convincing people that there is what they do affects the climate and that affects our lives and our world is very difficult, international governments must take strict decisions.

    Step 2
    Question 1
The epidemic has changed the world in terms of customs and traditions, the ban on travel, gatherings, weddings and parties, and it has dominated the entire world. As we see these days, some countries of the world are subject to complete closure, including the countries of the world that have tightened their procedures, and here we see scientists are striving to invent a vaccine for this disease

    Question 2,3
Governments have issued laws and rules, and these laws have negative and positive aspects. One of the disadvantages of these laws is not to entertain oneself by going out, and if we want to go out, we will wear masks and gloves, and care must be taken to cleanliness, there are no kisses or hugs, and the atmosphere of Ramadan and Eid will disappear when we deal with our families. To us and also to sit with our parents for a longer time

in my opinion i find there is no reason to say that it is not urgent to fight climate change because the world is more and more in danger, and it is because of us humans, it is therefore very urgent to be careful with nature because global warming causes many negative impacts on our planet more than a thousand times our pandemic (covid 19) for example: climate change includes droughts, storms, melting glaciers, rising sea levels.
All over the world, people are already feeling the impact of climate change on the environment. For example, Holanda and other recumbent islands are the threat of sea level rise, so what should we do?
_we must change the way we live: so that we can stop releasing greenhouse gases so that the land cover returns to normal, we must also be ready for what climate change will bring, .....

A whole year has passed since the start of the Corona pandemic, while people yearn for the day when their lives will return to their normal form, especially since the epidemic has made a fundamental change in the way people live and social interaction.
The new virus has infected tens of millions of people around the world, and millions of people have lost their jobs as a result of the closures imposed to curb the spread of Corona.
The World Health Organization first recommended social distancing, then it retracted the name and called it physical distancing, due to the seriousness of the meaning of social distancing for the fate of humanity.
Since the "post-pandemic" stage has become arousing widespread curiosity among many, it is imperative to know how Corona has affected social relations, and how they will look in the future.
And all of us noticed that social relationships have been affected very greatly, as there are many social relationships that have completely changed into electronic communication, so relations become dry or even break these relationships, and also people have become afraid of each other due to the spread of the Corona virus, but there are new solutions and habits that must be followed to maintain these relationships The good ones are the emergence of new methods and methods of handshake as an alternative to handshake. Many electronic games have flourished, which have become a field for social meeting and acquaintance.
I feel that we need to have green habits to pass this pandemic , Do you think all world will have a unity of habits ?

How has Corona affected the movement around the world and its relationship to climate change?
Limiting the absolute human movement in his use of things, and this indifference is one of the effects resulting from the use of many unsafe and environmentally unfriendly things. This is embodied in the relentless movement (air - sea - land - internally) before the pandemic, which was a powerful weapon to limit the movement of people and goods.
All this has a tangible effect on reducing the (environmental-air-water) pollution that has positively reflected on the ozone layer in our world, and since the movement between countries, whether for the purpose of (tourism or visit), would result in air and water pollution due to the smoke of transportation, as well as Of waste and garbage, whether plastic or not, a person "leaves" in public places, resorts or roads, all of this leads to environmental pollution that reflects on the general climate directly.
The closure of cities and the closure of borders gave direct space to environmental activists and those interested in climate to follow the changes in temperature and the ozone layer, and.
Despite the aforementioned and the improvement in air quality during the closure period, gases and emissions soon returned to their previous levels, due to the return to normal life somewhat, which provided an opportunity for scientists around the world to study the impact of the pandemic on air quality, and thus the atmosphere and global warming in the event of continued closures and lack of mobility.
according to my view that the less waste and environmental pollution, the more the climate becomes less vulnerable, and global warming is less likely to increase, and reduce the opening of the ozone layer. Especially in densely populated areas and industries, whether in China, India, Japan, America, and Egypt, what do you think?
Yes, the Corona pandemic helped to purify the air and reduce emissions during the period in which countries implemented a total closure, but it was not the main reason for the recovery of the ozone layer, but rather the fruit of international efforts that are still working, monitoring and calling for bridging the gaps in the Montreal Protocol, with all the gaps in the ozone layers to be closed soon.

How has Corona affected movement around the world and its relationship to climate change ?? The impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the environment and the climate significantly in several aspects; The sharp downturn in individual travel, the movement of people, and social and business activities has reduced the level of air pollution in many areas. Lockdowns and other measures have led to a 25 percent reduction in carbon emissions, which one Earth-systems scientist estimates could save up to 77,000 organisms in two months. There is a series of measures to combat the virus that appeared late last year, as countries began to close their borders and suspend international flights, and later it developed into an attempt to reduce the collective movement of individuals by imposing restrictions on movement within countries and curfews.
For example, China, Iran, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium and Portugal closed their borders and imposed restrictions on internal movement.
The United States, Canada, Brazil, Russia and the Netherlands did the same, until they did not impose restrictions on movement within their territories.
As for Britain, Ireland and Germany, they have not imposed any restrictions on international travel or domestic movement.
Also, there were measures related to reducing the mass movement of people within countries by imposing curfews and imposing restrictions on the exit of elderly people from their homes.
It is true that these measures have contributed to reducing the damage related to the virus, but it has affected our lives negatively.

Hi, is gergarioys-argument, lam from palestine, Today l will write about covid-19, l hope you interested to read it.

As safe and effective vaccines for COVID-19 are approved, who should be the first to receive them?
WHO believes that everyone, everywhere who could benefit from safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines should have access as quickly as possible, starting with those at highest risk of serious disease or death.

WHO’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) has released two key documents to help guide the allocation and prioritization of populations to receive COVID-19 vaccines:

The Values Framework for the allocation and prioritization of COVID-19 vaccination, which offers high-level guidance globally on the values and ethical considerations regarding allocation of COVID-19 vaccines between countries, and offers guidance nationally on the prioritization of groups for vaccination within countries while supply is limited.
The Roadmap for Prioritizing Population Groups for Vaccines against COVID-19, which recommends public health strategies and target priority groups for different levels of vaccine availability and epidemiologic settings. Examples of target priority groups include frontline health and care workers at high risk of infection, older adults, and those people at high risk of death because of underlying conditions like heart disease and diabetes.

In addition, WHO led the development of a Fair Allocation Framework that aims to ensure that successful COVID-19 vaccines and treatments are shared equitably across all countries. This framework a key part of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator, a global collaboration to accelerate development, production, and equitable access to COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines. The framework advises that as safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines are authorized for use, all countries should receive doses in proportion to their population size to immunize the highest-priority groups. In the second phase, vaccines would continue to be deployed to all countries so that additional populations can be covered according to national priorities.
What is WHO doing to ensure that COVID-19 vaccines will be allocated fairly?
WHO is one of the leaders of a global alliance known as COVAX, the vaccine pillar of the ACT-Accelerator collaboration, which is working to accelerate the development and manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines and ensure that there is fair and equitable access to these vaccines for all countries.

COVAX will allocate vaccines across countries according to a framework developed by a group that includes ethicists, scientists, and other health experts and vetted by WHO’s Member States. Under this framework, COVID-19 vaccines will be rolled out in two phases. In the first phase, they will be allocated according to population size to all participating countries at the same time, so as to protect those people at greatest risk of infection and of severe disease.

WHO’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) has provided recommendations about which populations should be prioritized first. These include frontline health and care workers at high risk of infection, older adults, and those people at high risk of death because of underlying conditions like heart disease and diabetes. In the second phase of the roll-out, as more doses are produced, vaccines can go to groups less at risk of being infected or of suffering badly.

COVAX aims to provide at least 2 billion vaccine doses by the end of 2021. The Facility has achieved that goal and additionally has the possibility to increase those doses by another 1 billion as right of first refusal for several candidates in clinical trials supported by CEPI. Although these doses are not enough for everyone in all countries, it may be enough to end the acute stage of the crisis and put the world on the road to ending the pandemic.

I enjoyed this session as it made me realise that during the pandemic there were obvious negative impacts however, we there were some positive outcomes to lockdown in the sense of the environment. Because of the reduced day to day travel and transport, we were decreasing our average carbon dioxide emissions, which lead to less air pollution. Moreover, due to the lockdown restrictions that stopped us from socializing and going to events, we instead experienced a cleaner planet with less littering and rubbish in nature, and cleaner, healthier rivers flowing through cities. This encouraged the introduction of more nautical wildlife and helped biodiversity to thrive. Despite any internal struggles faced or personal losses experienced throughout this pandemic, the plant as a whole has become healthier and is a nod in the right direction moving forward with climate change.

Many people have no understanding of the seriousness of environmental pollution, and that environmental pollution negatively affects the guality of life, and people's urgency is zero in order to tackle climate change, because they don't have enough awareness about environmental pollution, and that environmental pollution is more dangerous to human and the earth, but despite this, people don't notice it,as they observed Covid_ 19 and its effects, for example.
We must educate people about the seriousness of environmental pollution.
    * By establishing association that educate people.
    * Putting awareness_raising signs in the streets.
So let's work hard to raise awareness in various societies about the seriousness of environmental pollution.

Agreed, If we as a people are more educated and knowledgeable about climate change we would therefore be able to understand and perceive climate change differently, therefore allowing us to take the same urgency and exigency we take to the global pandemic Covid-19. So consequently proper knowledge and understanding is very important because we can have better awareness and realization on what we are facing.

      Hello.
You said associations have to raise awareness about climate change and educate people about it so that individual good deeds will collectively help preserving the environment.
I agree with you. I think societal awareness is really important but I also think that gouvernements can play a major role in stopping pollution.
Just look at how Singapore banned chewing gum in 1992. This and other laws in the country made Singapore's streets and buildings much cleaner.
Or look at how some countries have managed to slow down the spread of Covid-19 by prohibiting travel between certain cities or regions, imposing quarantine on people who contracted the virus, making hand sanitizer more common and affordable, and making wearing masks in public places compulsory.
The government is one of the most efficient systems to reach an international worldwide goal like stopping climate change. We, people just need to elect a strong government willing to, and capable of putting strict laws against pollution and enforcing them. This way everyone will respect those laws and individual actions will contribute to preserving the environment.
What do you think of this ?
What are in your opinion the steps governments should take in order to prevent environmental catastrophe from happening?

I think climate change will negatively affect our future lives in the next 20 years: there will be droughts in some places.  And the water level rises in other places.  The ice will also melt in the icy regions.  The temperatures are rising.  It will negatively affect the health and economic sector.
Our duty as students is to strive to preserve the environment and the climate by:
Turning off the lights during the day and in places that are not used. Walking or riding a bike instead of public transportation.
Conducting educational workshops to preserve the climate.
Recycle things that we can recycle.
Shut off electrical appliances once they are no longer in use.
Governments have an important role to play in preserving the climate by: Encouraging agriculture and farmers .. Planting many trees in cities to absorb carbon dioxide.
Supporting local producers rather than large factories.
Maintain clean green energy and solar energy.
Preventing the import of any materials harmful to the environment and any air pollutants.
    Supporting recycling factories
To be sure, wars have very dangerous impacts on the climate. The CO2 emissions of the largest militaries are greater than many of the world’s countries combined.
Do you agree that producing weapons becomes one of the main reasons of having war on the earth ?How can we protect it from it?

How has the pandemic changed the world?
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how we work. It has both positive and negative effect on the environment.
    Positive effects:
1.One effect of COVID-19 on the world is that it has reduced the amount of contamination of the physical and biological components of the earth. In my country, what I noticed was that, most of our factories stopped production and this has reduced the amount of bad gases in the atmosphere.
2.It has also helped in the reduction of the plastic waste we generate at the beach in my country. Because there lockdown, people did not get the chance to go to the beach and this has reduced the amount of plastic waste in my country.
    Negative effects:
One negative effect of COVID-29 on the environment is that, many people had lost their jobs and this has led us into extreme poverty.

Climate change we know is the usual change in weather of a particular place in a given time. Some causes of climate change may include:
1.Air pollution(the releasing of harmful gases into the atmosphere).
2.Deforestation(it causes climate change because plants absorb pollutants found in air).
3.Greenhouse effects(human activities such as burning of petroleum products by automobiles, the bush fires and the burning of vegetation send gases into the atmosphere. These gases act like the glass in the greenhouse by letting and preventing the heat given off from escaping back into space. Naturally occurring greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor oxides of nitrogen and ozone).

    Some effects also include:
    A. Drought.
    B. Flooding.
    C. Extreme hotness / coldness.
    D. Soil infertility.

    Preventions include:
1.Education and promoting of afforestational programs.
2.Using efficient cars or better still public transports and bicycles mostly.
3.Reducing air pollution by burning less especially petroleum products and vegetation.
4.Reducing the destruction of forest for mining and logging.

My opinion is that most people don't react to climate change with the same urgency as COVID 19 because :
    1. They don't have much education on the causes and effects of climate change.
2.They haven't experienced climate change in their lives.
3.COVID 19's effects are faster/rapid than that of climate change because climate change is a gradual change which keeps long.
I believe educating on climate change would be the best.

There are so many effect of climate change. Example in japan, because of climate change there is too much rainfall and they have to build seventy thousand litres tank to store these water. But in Australia the opposite of what is happening in Japan is happening there, there is little rainfall through out the year but all these is caused as a result of climate change.

    Movement is a human right
So the Corona virus has prevented people from exercising their right to move
because the most important measure to infection against infection with the Corona virus is to stay home .
Consequently, the lack of movement has the effect of stopping or limiting the use of transportation means ( planes , cars and boats ) .
But this could be positive for the climate change .
Because Corona led to lack of mobility which contributed to positive change in the climate ( a decrease in nitrogen dioxide emissions and improved air quality) .
In my opinion , the Corona pandemic will come one day and end , but the climate problem will remain with the pollutants remaining .

Do you agree with me opinion, my friend ?
Do you think Corona is positive to solve the problem of climate change?
Do you think that the climate problem will end or not ?

Corona has greatly affected the daily habits of humans all over the world.
Doctors have always stressed the need to wash hands frequently, and in many public restaurants, especially in corporate, armies and institutions restaurants, laundries are placed at the entrances, so that everyone who enters the restaurant remembers that he must wash his hands before ordering his food or putting it on his plate in restaurants. self service. In view of the importance of hand washing for public health.
All people, including young people, pay attention to their health and distinguish between harmful health habits and those that promote health and strengthen immunity, and they are getting to know the types of medicines.

Young men who used to refuse to stay at home and spend most of their time outside in activities that some may consider a waste of time, are now accustomed to staying at home, which strengthened their patience and changed their behavior and dealings with their families. Many of us used to spend our free time wandering around aimlessly in shopping malls (malls), and going to restaurants, several times a week without eating food of nutritional value. Healthy foods, fruits and vegetables, or gardening, watering, and pruning and pruning of trees. Also, reducing the use of cars, vehicles, machinery and machinery will reduce pollution.
This means, that we will have - when the current crisis ends - to break out of our narrow view of our personal interests, and to move as individuals for the benefit of the planet. Just as the epidemic has forced us to slow down our pace of life, we should explore the possibility that, when it comes to travel and travel, we can adopt a slower and more thoughtful approach.

    Be environmently friendly

The earth on which everyone lives don't belong to anyone , therefore no one has the right to attack it and cause harm to other .
I always think how to save our environment and keep it clean and beautiful. In my opinion, one of the solution is to use materials that are safe to the environment . For example , we can replace the plastic bags with paper bags . Also, we can use natural fertilizers instead of fertilizers that are made from chemicals . In other words , we should use materials that can be recycled . By that we can reduce the accumulation of harmful substances in the environment .
Why don't we use transportation that are environmently friendly ?!!
Why don't we reduce cigarette smoking to reduce the smoke emitted from them ?!!
What about having a conference for young youth to make a decision about climate change ??
We must take a serious stand to reduce climate change to the environment .

COVID-19 infection spread all over the world affecting all aspects of life. Schools and work become from home. All industries around the world stopped. This reduced the emission of harmful gases to the environment. The movement of cars and planes are restricted which made the environment more clear.
I think that COVID-19 had a positive effect on the environment. The restriction of movements lead to air quality has improved in many cities with a reduction in water pollution in different parts of the world.
the positive effects have been reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved water quality, reduced noise pollution, improved air quality and in some cases, wildlife restoration. Negative effects have been increased medical waste, haphazard disposal of PPE, increased municipal waste and reduced recycling efforts.
I see that COVID-19 infection, on one hand, had spread all over the world with many dead people. However, on the other hand, it has many positive effects on the environment.

I think people should put more attention on climate change than on covid-19 because covid-19 increases faster within some temperatures so if we are able to control climate change then we will be able to decrease the effect of the covid-19.
And we can do that by reducing the rate of using cars especially the old ones, because they mostly release alot of gases from the
    asorses pipe of cars.
And also use bicycles and walk if possible. Doing this can help reduce the effects of climate change.

    1. they don't have much education on the causes and effects of climate change.
    2. COVID 19 occurs globally while climate change can occur at one particular place meaning it is not a global issue as that of COVID 19.
3.they haven't experienced climate change in their lives.

Hi. I wanted to make a fresh start about a year ago when the Coronavirus came. Then I thought that a small virus, which could not be seen with the eyes, threatened humanity and frightened the whole world. At that time, I decided not to underestimate any young person, or underestimate myself, despite my childhood, and to work to promote myself and my beloved country, because there is no impossible hope. Although it is a crisis, I benefited from it and viewed it positively. I decided this in order to make my family and my country proud of me and to help people and develop my country and its two sons. I know that it is difficult for me to change myself and my life, but with diligence and perseverance we will make the impossible. Therefore, I advise each person to persevere, trust himself, and make a new beginning for himself in order to be proud of himself. After my new life, I became proud of myself. Therefore, my friends, work hard and trust, and do not underestimate yourselves, as you are the makers of the future.

I have an idea to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. We can reduce planting plants because the plant may inhale oxygen and give us carbon dioxide in the evening, for example, if you and some plants are in a closed room, they will die because the plants may inhale all the oxygen and give you carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide, a harmful and pollutant of the air, So you might die and be careful not to.

    Hi
I think that people do not care about climate change as they care about Corona virus,
first: lack of awareness, there are many who are ignorant of this topic, second: that the Corona virus has noticeable effects such as: deaths, deterioration of the economy due to closures and home quarantine, but there is a relationship between Corona virus and climate change, As a result of the Corona virus, companies and factories were closed and road and air transport stopped. This led to a decrease in global emissions and improved air quality, but this is clean air, but it will not last long, and Antonio Goniers, Secretary-General of the United Nations, says, “Corona virus and climate change are two serious crises, but there is A fundamental difference between the two issues is that Covid-19 is a temporary problem that will disappear one day, while climate change has existed for years and continues for decades. Of course, we urgently need to address the health crisis, and its social and economic impacts, but without forgetting that the time for the climate change race is running short.
    What will happen now
To limit climate change, we must raise awareness among people and inform them of the seriousness of the matter, there are simple things that if everyone does that will help to reduce climate change
1- Use the sun as a source of energy instead of fuel
    2- Stop using fossil fuels
3- Stop cutting forests, but we must expand and cultivate them
    4- Avoid using plastic.
    Thanks for that for reading💙

Hello everyone, what a beautiful thing people are proud of when they talk about their new beginnings and the opportunities they have given themselves to improve, but for me I do not like to talk about myself about anything because of the criticism I receive, but today you gave me an opportunity to talk about the most important new beginnings that happened in my life Which I never took the initiative to tell and tell it to anyone. Two years ago, my weight exceeded 60 kilograms, I used to pray at home and someone came to visit us at home and said: Who is this? His sister's name because of her extra weight, also because of my height and extra weight. I do not want to tell you about the extent of my crying, which happened to the point that when I finished the prayer I did not greet the person, I went to my room and sat on my bed and said I must put an end to this thing and change it. I participated in the club and reduced the amount of food and I lost 10 kilos within a month and a half. This is my story and my new beginning that occurred and made a difference in my life. As for me in the first, I faced difficulties with this change, everyone wants to make a change and start something new He will feel difficult and unable to do this thing, but with persistence and the will, he does it. For me, if I have a friend or friend who wants to start a new start and something happens, he must be 1 - Confident in himself 2- Get help from people closest to us like (parents And friends) 3- Work and strive hard on this change 4- Record and record the things that have progressed and changed from one period to another. I wish the people who are dissatisfied with themselves to wake up with their consent before they wake up with hurtful words from others. Thank you.❤

Hello my friends, I want to tell you how I changed my life for the better and why I wanted this. Since I was young, I had no sisters, and I was boring and introverted, and I did not like talking to others, as I find it difficult to do so, with this situation I was anxious and sad when I finished sixth grade I told my mother and father that they would transfer me from this school and from here the change in my life began. Reality !! Where the staff of teachers and students were wonderful and also my mind was more mature than before, so I started making friends by talking to them and spending time with them was difficult in the beginning because it was difficult for others to accept me as I was boring and I did not talk somewhat so I adapted to them and started talking to them I was enjoying and being happy with this, so I learned that friendship, getting to know others, and sharing my life with them is something of a greatness and joy. I advise you not to succumb to the difficulties of your life and start changing for the better and get to know beloved people and share your events with them, you will be truly happy. I wish you the benefit ❤️💯

Covid-19 pandemic has affected the entire world and has inflicted fear in people across the world. Many people have realized the health implications associated with it. For instance, the fastest rate at which it spreads from person to person and the number of death it has caused. The covid-19 pandemic has also brought a lot of economic activities into standstill due to its mode of spread.
Unlike the covid-19, the climate change issue has been a gradual phenomenon where certain environmental activities cause the release of certain gases which some of them deplete the ozone layer causing excessive heat on the surface of the earth and the inability of the ozone layer to screen the Ultra Violet (U.V) light. The U.V light and the other gases bring about serious health issues ranging from cancers to respiratory diseases.
Although, the climate change also causes health related conditions, its effect is long term and may not be recognized. However, the health effect of covid-19 is immediate hence people regard the covid-19 more than the climate change.

Hi , I will talk about my experience of starting a new life
No one can turn back time and start a new life , but he can make a new beginning to write a new end , so the greatest secrets of excellence is the right start with commitment.
When I was in the elementary stage , I was underachieving in science , but I did not like this thing throughout this stage , and after that I decided to start a new life in which I would be more regular and more diligent , so this inevitably became one of the best and first students.
I did that and decided to start a new life because I was scientifically weak in this subject and after that I became diligent and built my future and I am still building it until I reach my goal and purpose.
Even it is not easy to make new beginnings because it requires determination , persistence , strength , good thinking , and making the right decisions.
I advise that everyone who wants to start a new and healthy life is that he tries to make the right and sound decisions that make him build a good future , reach his goals and objectives , and never give up , as surrender is not a solution to anything.

Hello. I will talk about how and when I decided to change. I decided in 2020 at the beginning of the spread of the Corona virus, when schools closed and home quarantine appeared. I decided to take advantage of this time and improve my skills, so I registered in clubs and attended webinars, and I read books and banners. The project: In order to develop my skills in speaking and dialogue in the English language, and in order to change, you must first understand yourself, know your hobby, your weaknesses to overcome them, give up your fears, try more than once to reach the goal, you have to set a goal to reach for it, socialize with positive friends, Renewal, so do not stop at the beginning of the road if you find a rock, as this is part of a bridge that you will build one day for your future, so everyone wants to change for the better, so you should not give up.
    Have a good day.👍💙

    welcome everybody
It is a wonderful opportunity for me to emphasize that the climate issue is the defining issue of our time.
The impacts resulting from climate change are wide-ranging in terms of size and damage, as they threaten food production to rising sea levels, which increase the occurrence of floods and lead to the extinction of many animals and plants. Practical life, and scientists will find a vaccine to eradicate Covid 19, but the climate issue, how will we face it?
Despite what caused by Covid 19, we noticed at the beginning of the pandemic, of course, after the suspension of transportation and many factories, how the climate has returned to its nature, and this confirms that humans are primarily responsible for what is happening in terms of global warming and the increase of the ozone pole.

In the end, I wish all countries to pay attention and consider the world's interest, stop wars, contribute to solving the issue of illiterate climate, and pay attention to restoring nature to its beautiful image.
By spreading awareness and culture among the countries of the world and supporting projects that work to eliminate the climate problem. Goodbye🥰

Not every end is necessarily a loss, some endings are necessary and motivating, but rather loudly announce the end of a phase and the beginning of a phase that holds the potential to be good. Should we stand in front of the endings, or do we redefine and direct that end, or at least change those dimensions that take on one form (loss), and start thinking about our endings as not a pile of losses?
You have to learn to see the point and turn the page. What (Tory Amos) said, we must start from any point. I worked on the rise and a new beginning in my life two years ago because we are all for God and we are all under the ground one day. That everyone who can, there is no barren person.

Hello my friends, On this subject, I will talk about a beautiful and interesting topic for me. I was a poor student in English and loved speaking this famous and most important language, so I loved to change myself with this great opportunity for me. This opportunity was the beginning of the epidemic spreading about a year ago. Why is it exactly? Because during this period we retired from the school in order to preserve our safety, and from here the change began, so I became receiving important courses from special centers to learn this beautiful language and mobile phones through applications, and indeed I am now fluent in this language more than before. It is true that we are sad that we have retired from schools during this period, but thanks to the virus, I have developed many things from myself, not only learning the English language, and I have saved 52 verses of my poetry and participated in electronic competitions during this year. A really great experience, I advise you whoever has ambition to start from now and try because failure is the ladder of success. I wish you the best 💚 (knowing that my mother tongue is Arabic)

Hello, everyone looks forward to change in his life for many reasons, and I wanted positive changes to happen in my life. I always quarreled with others for or without reason, which made those around me hurt by my behavior and my hurtful words one day angered me by one of my schoolmates I told him hurtful words , so he started crying severely, and when the teacher came, he asked him about the reason for crying and told him what had happened. Then the teacher punished me, so I feltWith insulted and started crying, and when I got home while I was crying, my mother asked me why I was crying, so I told her what happened to me at school and she told me at the time that it is very bad to hurt those around you and that everyone has feelings, so do not be the cause of
Someone cried and asked if I was in my friend's placeHe told me these words what should I do? I told her that I would be very upset, and even that I would cry and feel weak, so she taught me that no matter how big the problem is, don't hurt others. So I decided at that time not to say hurtful words to people and not to quarrel with anyone, and the next day I went to school and apologized from my colleague and forgave me and we played together, we had fun, and the teacher was happy to reconcile us, and I felt at that time very happyHow beautiful it is to be a reason for someone to smile, and since that day, I have not hurt anyone, but happier everyone around me, which made me form new friendships. It is really difficult to change a behavior.I got used to him for a long time, but with time it became very easy, which made me a person who did not fall into problems easily.and If you get into a problem, solve it my in the best way to satisfy all parties, and this is really It is a very good thing to be wise and to solve problems in the simplest way and with minimal lossesAnd many people still do not have this good quality. It has been more than six years since this incident and this change, meaning that I learned it from childhood and it was the reason for my desire to change.Forming new relationships and friendships and making those around me happy, and in the end for everyone looking for a change in his life, I am happy to tell him that all the beginnings are difficult, but as long as you have patience and strong will, the end will be very beautiful. And remember that you can, whoever wants is able and remember That you can use the doors of the bad past to open the doors of the good future. Thanks for your time Have a nice day⁦♡

The year 2020 started differently, the details of its days were different, as I felt deficient in me and that there was something missing in me, so I looked at myself and found that the veil would complete me, but I was very hesitant, so the beginning was not easy. I used to look at the mirror every day and ask myself if I wore it, would I be beautiful and again, would I Beautiful without a hijab. Until one day I woke up and heard a voice in me pushing me to wear it, so I did so and I looked at myself and felt that my heart was reassured, it was strange at the beginning and for the first time, but after a while I got used to it and became committed to it to an extent that I cannot describe it, the veil is the latest turning point in my life.

At the beginning of 2020, with the spread of the Corona crisis and the closure of schools, and we used to sit at home a lot, so I decided to use my time and change something of my life. My parents work in the health sector and I rarely see them. I decided to challenge the circumstances surrounding me and work on my talent (crochet making) and develop it, and train until I can master it,I used to go out alone from the house to go to my teacher to help me achieve my goal and sometimes I go and the world is closed and there is no traffic so I have to go walking, I wanted to start my own project and start selling on the Internet and depend on myself while I am 12 years old, until now I have not achieved my goal It is complete, but I strive to achieve it despite all the circumstances. The road is not easy because it is inhuman to have a goal and strive for it in the easiest way. I advise those who want to start a new life to have confidence in themselves, the ability to face challenges and the daring to go through experiences.

COVID-19 EFFECTS ON EDUCATION IN GHANA

Covid-19 has effect on education in Ghana because our government decided to temporarily close educational institution in an attempts to reduce the spread of the pandemic. As of 12 January 2021, approximately 825 million learners are currently affected due to school closures in response to the pandemic. According to UNICEF.
My life and of family have change due to the closure of schools and as I know some of my colleague, teachers and parents are in the same situation.
Education in my community and around me have change from the usual classroom learning structuring to remote learning system which includes distances and online learning platform and the rolling out of lessons on Ghana Learning Platforms and the rolling out of lessons on Ghana Learning Television (GLTV) and on the radio.
Despite the remote learning platforms to combat the effects of COVID-19 on education. Some students do not have access to online learning devices or the internet at home.
    Thank you!

Today we started talking about Corona at home 🏠 On TV 📺 In the street 🛣️ Everywhere, the topic of all people has become Corona

Could climate change be the subject of all people?

Why does no one talk about climate change except the developed countries?

    Is the reason poverty?
Are these countries ignorant and do not know anything about climate change 😶?

Can we, poor countries like Palestine, work to reduce pollution?

How can this be without money 💵🤑

Without resources available without international support

Can we cope with the pollution of the seas 🌊

    And air pollution 💨

    And food contamination 🍱 🥘

I think that a person's life after 20 years will be threatened with death
If we don't move to solve this problem

For step3, I would say 9 because in my country, Tunisia, the economy is standing on agriculture and tourism and the both of them need a good environment and was effected by the climate change. But in Tunisia, most of people are reacting to corona virus disease because it influence directly in our life: in our daily routines. Many people lose their jobs because of the quarantine and many people died because of covid-19.But my country called The green country and the tunisians have to care about our environment because another day it will be a disastre and the climate change starts to kill people and maybe more than corona virus.

I agree with you opinion, but clean air, but it is not permanent, we have to make plans for the future, even for an explosion like what happened with the Corona virus, it came suddenly, scientists took time to study and learn about the virus, which led to the deterioration of the health situation in the first days, which increased the number of deaths Every country must be ready and curb climate change before it increases

Since I was young, I saw those who memorized the Qur’an as peaks, so I chose to be among them one day. My journey began here two years ago from now, when I was 11 years old. I decided to join the mosque near our house. At first it was not easy to memorize because of my lack of understanding, so I used the books of interpretation and the Islamic education teacher in the school to explain What I do not understand, and I stopped him for some time, thinking that it would stop me from my studies, so I was disappointed, then I noticed that the days of my failure I was far from the Qur’an. As for those who succeeded, I was attached to him with my shadow that did not leave me, so I decided not to distance himself from him again. Many things have changed after I have memorized the Holy Quran.
I advise those who have started a new path not to give up and to remain hopeful until they achieve what they dream, because success does not come easily.

The main agency of covid-19 through climate has been seriously damaged by the environment and the nations. The virus has affect almost everyone , most countries in the world and it has also cause a lot of harm, difficult movement in the system.

I think it is urgent that climate change is addressed ona scale of 10 because: In my country, Nigeria the climate has been changing and it is evident in the increase in temperature, flooding, rainfall variation and more frequent extreme weather events which most people are ignorant of. People think that Covid-19 is more urgent than climate change because covid-19 is immediate and personal. It rapidly changed our lifestyles and they are an immediate threat to friends and families while climate change seems to many as Armageddon in slow motion and it's dangers feels impersonal and it causes diffuse. But there's another way to look at it. Like Covid-19,if we are concerned about climate change we can take actions right now to improve the health of our friends and loved ones.

Hello everyone, I am going to talk today about the most important person in my life and the new change it has brought about. My father is 54 years old, he quit smoking at the age of 52 because it caused him common respiratory problems such as (emphysema, destruction of the alveoli and chronic bronchitis), and his fear for his family and non-smokers because passive smoking is more dangerous. And also the harmful effects of smoking in the environment, which causes: Air pollution because cigarettes contain thousands of toxic substances that result from their combustion and also when they throw cigarette butts on the streets, it distorts the beauty of the environment. Some of the problems I faced when starting to quit: (sore throat, frequent sneezing, sometimes sores inside the mouth and coughing, but this indicates that the respiratory system has started cleaning and excreting the toxins inside), I sat on the internet and searched for things that a smoking quit could eat Li: (Milk, yogurt, celery, carrots, and after quitting smoking, he consumed onions and ginger to compensate for the lack of vitamin C). This is a kind of support that the family and his wife (my mother) gave him, who helped him overcome this ordeal. Thank God, my father has passed this period that he was thinking about previously, but the time is right, because if he had not quit smoking for two years and had continued, he would have contracted Covid-19 because people who have respiratory problems are more likely to be infected with it. I advise smokers to quit smoking. Suddenly it is not gradually until they do not return to it again, they have to inquire and ask "because improvement begins with a question", or even entering clinics for people addicted to smoking. Thank you.🚭🌸

Position 1* I made a fresh start when I saw I needed to change. * I decided to make a fresh start and change my system to make my life better and the life of our planet better. * This beginning occurred when I was underestimating the danger of the climate and its changes, as I did not care about recycling and throwing garbage everywhere, and when I saw the seriousness of the matter, I wanted to change and set goals for change from myself. It's not easy to make new starts because it takes strength and doesn't give up. * I say to him: If you want to change and make a new start, this is very cool, but there are things you must know, namely that you must not give up no matter who the matter is, and you must try every time you fail because change is not built by some laziness.

Topic 2 * I think that people interacted with Covid 19 when they saw its danger. Perhaps when they see the danger of climate change, they will interact with me. I believe that the great countries should act because they are the ones who can control people. Nowadays, we are facing big problems due to climate, for example, car smoke that pollutes the air and which helps to exacerbate the harmful violet layer that poses a danger to our planet, and we do not forget the plastic which is at the present time more prevalent than before as it pollutes the air and water and a lot of climatic problems so I see that it is Really strict laws must be put in place in all countries because it is a bad country that does not have strict laws. This problem that we face from the climate must be put to an end. If the country puts in place laws like this 1, littering is not allowed in the street 2 It is not allowed to throw garbage in the oceans and seas 3 It must Every citizen must use the recycling process 4 Stop the smoke if it is too much 5 Not completely cut down trees except with the permission of the government ,,,, such laws every country must adopt this way all people interact with changes Climate because we must give our planet all its rights

    Dear BNC,
    Step 1:
If my friend wanted to make a fresh start I would say put your past behind you, focus on good change and do not make a fresh start then go back to your old ( maybe bad) ways.
    Step 2:
The pandemic has changed the world in many, many ways mentally, emotionally and physically. We are not able to see people, people mighty be anxious of what might happen next and peoples mind set is also different.
Covid-19 has changed the environment in a good way (which is my personal opinion) cars have not been used as much because we have to stay inside so climate change has been slowed down by a great deal.
    Step 3:
Out of ten I would say 8.5 because there are many problems other than climate change in the world but it is quite high because I think that animals are suffering because of climate change.

These are just my personal opinion so do not be offended

i believe the effect of covid 19 on climate change has been positive and negative. The break from the hustle and bustle has allowed animals to roam freely like the dolphins in Venice. However i believe the widespread use of single use disposable masks has infect inversed the pandemics positive effect on climate change as millions of non decomposable masks have been discarded in landfills sites and oceans all over the world- causing wildlife to suffer. For example, pictures have been released of a sea turtle with a disposable mask stuck around its neck, just one of the devastating consequences our carelessness as humans has lead to. I believe if the use of washable and reusable masks was introduced form the beginning, people would be more likely to use them and not immediately reach for a single use one

    1.
There is no way that might help without government intervention, which helps win people's opinion
    2.
What helps people, in my opinion, is to rebuild and treat the problem at its root
    3.
The best way is for the government to care about the environment and the climate, so people take care of it, and this is how we can survive our climate
    4.
To take big steps to survive global warming before 2030
    5.
Take care of the environment with the climate

In the second picture, we find a conflict between the planet Earth and the new Corona, and it seems that the planet is not satisfied with the changes that it is getting by the virus and is trying to keep it away from it, and since I am a conscious student of what is happening in my life, it is dangerous for my life and everyone’s life to have a virus With such power that kills human lives, everyone must abide by the safety rules sent by the Ministry of World Health in order to overcome this deadly virus
And you, what do you expect will happen if the planet Earth defeats this virus?

I see that our topic today is the relationship of the covid
-19 virus. According to my opinion the Corona virus are a large family of virus that cause illness from the common cold to more severe disease. The virus can spread from person to person. It harm the human respiratory system. Till now,no proper vaccine has developed for the treatment of this disease. It is very important to know the imfact of virus. If we wash our hands regularly with soap or senitiger, keep social distance, stay at home, we can have chance to save from covid-19. So people who is reading my comment I request all to stay at home and keep social distance.❤️😓 Thank you

    Step 3:

I would probably rate it out of 9. I would say this because climate change is very serious and if we don't do something about it, it is only to get more surreal. Yet, the reason why I have took away that one point is because it is not our current situation and we aren't really focused on that topic. What everyone is worried about is the pandemic - Covid 19. The reason why everyone is so worried about Covid 19, is because it is ruining our lives. Climate change is only affecting the world and the weather however Covid 19 is affecting our lives as well as making a change in the world and I don't mean the good kind. Now a days, everyone is SO worried about weather we should leave our houses or not, or if we should meet up with people. Another thing I would like to mention is that Covid 19 has been going on for about a year and a half now and it is so unpredictable when it is going to stop however on the other hand, Climate change just keeps coming back and forth but it hasn't been going on non-stop. This is why People or more drastic about Covid 19 then Climate change. Thank you

Why are people not reacting to climate change the same way they do with COVID-19?

Well first, we need to look at the urgency of the two issues. COVID-19 is spreading around the world, silently assassinating millions of people. Meanwhile, climate change is just there, not really affecting anyone. We just know that we need to take care of the Earth or else we will destroy it. That's all. I think that the clear difference here between the two is how one has obvious effects, and the other doesn't. COVID-19 effects us directly, and we all don't want to die. Therefore, we take care of the problem. Climate change though, it isn't going around killing millions of people, so we don't care about it as much.
This is the problem. We only care about the issues that shown right in front of us, and those issues might not even be big. We don't care about the issues that slowly pile up into one gigantic mess that's impossible to clean up.
This is why people don't react to climate change the same way they do to COVID-19.

Step 1 : After the certain thing is totally finished and get into the new events with new mindset and feeling. For students, fresh start can be the beginning of new school year. I think Fresh start always bring some challenges for any reasons. However, how easy to make fresh start is depend on how the person deal with the challenges they would face. For instance, if you are a person who give up everything easily and always having complaint about difficulties then, it will definitely hard to decide fresh start. On the other hand, if you have positive and confident mind to make a challenge then, you can overcome any difficulties you'll encouter to do fresh start.

I would advice to my friend who want to make a fresh start that your mind is the most important point. It can be the great motivation to maintain your energy to make a start or be the factors that decrease your enthusiasm quite quickly. Moreover, changing lifestyle and tring to make new relationship with others will be helpful to adapt in new circumstance.
