For nearly a year, our world has been ravaged by a global pandemic, COVID-19. The respective governments have made every effort to curb that alarming propagation: obligation to wear a mask, social distancing, border closure, telecommuting, ...

These measures have been applied and supported by the flagrant majority of citizens, because this sanitary crisis has immediate effects: mortalities, contagions, violating the immune and respiratory system, ...

In short, people were afraid of catching the disease. But that makes us think: why didn't people have the same awareness and consideration towards the climate crisis?

In my country,Tunisia, the temperature average will increase by 2°C in the coming decades. However, no concrete measure has been taken, and the pandemic remains at the heart of the debates. In my opinion, this is because most people are unaware of climate hazards that will affect their successors on Earth. They just care about the present danger that will probably affect them.

These mentalities must change and we have to work on both fronts and eliminate the health and environmental threats at the same time .

Hello, Tom. These mentalities can be changed by raising people's awareness of ecological problems from an early age using activities, games, debates, ... because the theory is insufficient and leads students to boredom. And today's population uses the internet, television, radio, ... So we could increase the awareness campaigns via these platforms.

People don't react to climate change as they do to covid-19 as climate change has an indirect impact on them, unlike covid-19. Here in Tunisia, where I live, people give more interest and importance to the pandemic than to climate change because of the impacts that it has on them and the whole world. This reason shows why people aren't reacting to climate change in the same way as they do to covid-19.

In the place where I live, I think that people do not react to the problem of climate change, because people are not aware of the seriousness of the situation despite the huge numbers of deaths as there were more than 20 deaths in just one day in my city, the residents believe that these are false rumors and news.

In the last decades and starting from the Industrial Revolution, people caused a lot of damage to the earth as they didn't notice it. Then, when Covid 19 hit, they were obliged to stay at home and didn't work so couldn't cause more damage . Consequently, some of the mountain peaks appeared after decades , the Ozone holes became smaller and some animals lived their best without human presence . No one can deny that humans have their share of responsibility as well for not keeping their environment clean and not providing their homes with renewable energy . All of us are now aware of the chaos we were all part of and we are also aware that we can make our environment greener and cleaner by throwing our garbage in trash cans ,recycling it and stopping the emission of harmful gases . As far as I am concerned , I come from Tunisia and I personally don't see any noticeable efforts to help fight climate change. Except from small business owners and companies that are making a move but the governments and policy-makers aren't assuming their responsibilities towards the environment .

I think most people aren't reacting to climate change with the same urgency as covid-19 because covid-19 is understandably treated as an imminent danger and climate change is still represented as an abstraction whose consequences are decades away. But this is not true: In 2018 more than 60 million people suffered from the consequences of climate change and more than 1.600 people perished in Europe, Japan and in the US.

Hello, everyone knows about the emerging corona virus and its negative effects on society, and I want to talk today about the effects resulting from the Corona virus in Palestine, specifically in the Gaza Strip.
In light of the rapid changes that the world is witnessing due to the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19), and its effects that affected various walks of life, and reflected greatly on the social, economic, environmental and health conditions, which put us in Palestine in front of large and complex challenges, and the Corona virus has many negative effects. Among them: Prohibition of praying in mosques, and this is the most important negative impact of the Corona virus, and also heavy and large losses and small and temporary gains, as poverty in society increased very significantly and also affected us morally as it made us lose the dearest people in our life and forced us to wear masks and not leave the house, Did you know? That the number of people infected with Coronavirus in the Gaza Strip is 141 million! I will give you useful advice, which is to stay at home in order to preserve your health and the health of those you love.

We waited for the year 2020 with all hope and dreams, but we did not expect that a nightmare would come to us from the East that carries for us death.
Corona affected the whole world, as well as climate change, but the difference in reaction. In the past, there were several meetings of the major countries in the world to solve the problem of climate change, but without practical solutions.
hile the reaction was quick to Corona disease, this is because it was a direct threat to human life. All developed countries in the world are competing to find a vaccine to treat the disease.
Corona is not the first phenomenon, but also in the past it was cholera, Spanish flu and German measles. However, climate change has its effect in the long rather than the short term, which is why the confrontation was imbalanced. I think Corona helped to reconsider what we practice in our lives. This crisis has contributed to reducing air pollution and closing the ozone layer.
For this next challenge, will Corona disappear soon or will remain for years to come? Will we live with the disease or will we find a treatment soon? How many people will die? It is better to continue the factories or stay at home?

Recently as young youth we face a big problem which change our life from white to black but the Corona virus prevented us from achieving our dreams and obliged us to our homes and made us lose the most dearest of our hearts, and other things, greatly affected the climate, as the outbreak of the new Corona virus, known as Covid- 19, to divert people's attention from the climate change crisis, which has received wide global attention in recent years, especially among young people, which has increased pressure on politicians to take serious measures and decisions to improve the climate situation. But in the midst of the global economic downturn and the global health crisis resulting from the spread of the global Corona epidemic, people's focus on urgent health-related concerns has become understandable, and this global preoccupation with public health and ways to get rid of the emerging virus will postpone thinking about the risks of long-term climate change. In the past few years, the world has witnessed a great development in terms of technology, which made human life more comfortable and luxurious, but unfortunately, it seems that this planet, which has embraced people for millions of years, is not completely in sync with technological progress. Did you know that the first time that the Corona virus appeared was in Wuhan, China! Last but not least , keep your life and be safe by staying at home and cover face

Where I live in Ghana many part of Ghana have not experience climate change and do not know the effect or harm it will cause the individual or the environment unlike covid-19 which people think the virus kills or harm more than climate change.
The media gives more attention to covid-19 than climate change. For example in my country Ghana there is a daily report on covid-19 about the active cases, confirmed cases and death cases. Also people do not take the climate change as a topic to discuss about because it does not frequently happens in Ghana.
This are some of the reasons why people are not reacting to climate change more than the covid-19.

Corona virus is a dangerous, strange and powerful virus that had a great and dangerous role in human life, and the virus spread from China, and after days and the spread of Corona increased, cases increased. Palestine greatly affected people's lives, and affected Gaza like health, and people are no longer like the first in good health, and social cohesion no longer meets as before, for fear of the spread of the virus. Until their daily work stopped and he stopped working in popular restaurants and markets that were crowded, and the taxi driver did not return his job as the first time because people were afraid of mixing and touching, education became electronic, and the student no longer understood his teacher face to face, until family members and friends were dispersed as well It was also more dangerous than climate change to a person’s life, so man cared more about solving the virus problem than the climate change problemI think covid19 is a new style of our life recently but climate change did not change our life styel.when I believe that we need to work together and hard to save the earth land as we did in this case of covid19. I wonder what wil happen if the climate change killed our life directly ?

People aren't reacting to climate change as quickly as they did to covid 19 because they aren't directly impacted by it. A lot of covid 19 patients are suffering due to the symptoms of covid 19. In severe cases, some patients even die because of it. This has caused many governments and organizations to become alert and take immediate action to work towards decreasing the impacts. Meanwhile, climate change doesn't necessarily impact people directly. It mainly impacts nature, such as causing the icebergs to melt, which then affects the polar bears. However, since there aren't people living in the arctic, we tend to not care so much about the impacts of climate change. Most people are aware of the issue of climate change, but we don't prioritize coming up with solutions for climate change, as it does not have a direct impact on us at the moment.

I currently live in a country that is directly impacted by covid 19 and is also the major contributing country to climate change. China was quick to respond to covid 19; they closed down all borders immediately and declared lockdowns in all cities. This was able to help decrease the number of new covid 19 cases. On the other hand, although they are showing progress in decreasing the impacts of climate change, the progress isn't as drastic as the progress they had made during covid 19. The initiatives are more general rather than being region-specific.

We must start working towards mitigating climate change. Although the impacts of climate change are not evident at the moment, they will soon cause severe damage to our lives shortly. It is expected that by 2050, the sea level will rise by 30cm, causing many countries such as the Bahamas and Thailand to be underwater. If we do not take immediate actions against climate change, we will face severe consequences.

I think people in my country are not reacting as urgently to prevent climate change because of many reasons, the main being that climate change is not viewed as an impending danger. Many do not see climate change as a threat, with some believing it is a hoax created to instill fear on others. Another reason could be the fact that it may see like climate change is not harming people as negatively as COVID-19 has. This, however, is not true, as the WHO has estimated that climate change has causes around 150,000 deaths annually. The effect of climate change is also long-lasting, and by the time that the change is noticeable, chances are, it may already be too late to do anything about it. Even though most view climate change as a small issue that, chances are, will not affect them, there are many serious effects that climate change may bring. Some say that climate change may lead to more extreme natural disasters and weather events. In tandem with that, climate change may also affect climate-sensitive diseases, which may be carried by animal hosts. In China specifically, these include schistosomiasis, Japanese encephalitis, Dengue fever, malaria, and others. (Kan, Climate Change and Human Health in China). One main reason that there is more urgency in dealing with COVID-19 and not climate change could be the solutions, or the rather lack thereof. There are many ways to combat or quell climate change. Implementing reusable energy sources, reducing water waste, and reducing the use of fossil fuels are a few. However, none of these solutions are being implemented in a great enough quantity to see progress. Conversely, with COVID-19, a vaccine needed to be developed, as prior to the development, there was no way in possibly preventing spreading the disease. Quarantining was a viable solution, however, there is no possible way that people can not leave their houses, or come in contact with others. So, a vaccine would reduce the risk, so people could come in contact with others without as much fear or danger. Education is also extremely important. If we educated more people about the issues and severity of climate change, urgency towards solving the issue could increase. Where I live, these issues regarding COVID-19 and climate change are both not as eminent as they may be in other places. I have not been in areas with a high risk of COVID-19, or climate change, which has led me to form my opinion on these issues.

I agree with your point about climate change's long-lasting result. Since the effects of climate change appear over a period of time, it is hard for people to notice it, and even if they do, it would be a very minor issue so they wouldn't give so much attention to it. On the other hand, covid 19 happened over a short period of time while causing a lot of casualties, which lead to governments becoming more alert and responding quickly to the situation.

I think the reason why people aren't reacting to climate change as they do in covid-19 is because covid 19 occurs suddenly and climate change occurs gradually. climate change has been a problem for years. on the other hand, covid-19 has appeared only a year ago, so many people think that the problem that has rise suddenly is more serious, as a result they react to covid-19 more quickly. other reason is because humans are adaptable creatures, so we adapt to the changed climate, which makes us to not think for its severity. climate change is caused by humans. many people are wishing to react to climate change better than nowadays, however the objects we use and do to make our life more comfortable makes the climate change worse. people know this information, however according to physiologist George Marshall, humans are more inclined to believe information presented in a narratively satisfying way, so they still do those things that make the climate change worse.

Covid 19 has had an immediate reaction because the number of people being affected by climate change do not have as much impact as those to covid 19 .furthermore ,some people basically still don't believe that climate change is a real and some simply do not care about this fact thus making climate change seem as not important. Covid however, has made a statement with impact that reactionary forces have made a move to deal with the case ,for example vaccines

I think people are not reacting to climate change issues as quickly as they have reacted to the COVID 19 virus because in my country some of environmentally unfriendly practices generate income to the generality of the populace hence it is difficult for people to change their destructive ways as they are informally contributing to the economy. For example in Harare most people are engaging in sand mining and tgis has led to massive gullie being created near residential areas and roads. These gullies have become life hazards as some kids and adults have been killed or mimed. What is sad is that these sand miners are aware of the dangers and consequences of this practice but because there are no alternative sources of income so they just carry on with their work. Whereas COVID 19 has greatly affected the economy hence people are heeding to the preventative and mitigation measures being taken against the virus so that the economy reopens.

People aren't reacting as quickly to climate change as they did to Covid 19 because ,firstly covid 19 is a fast spreading virus that killed quite a large number of people within a short period of time at which it attracted the attention of every human being on planet earth ,thus causing a fast reaction on suppressing it before it wiped out even more people as it did on its first encounter so no government would want the same experience. On the other hand Zimbwean climate change has been a threat because the country is not well equipped to be able to alarm people about a disaster caused by climate change in the next 10 to 15 years to come therefore risking the lives of so many people .For instance Zimbabwe encountered a very deadly heatwave in mid October of 2014 causing the death of people, this was never put to consideration in warning the majority of Zimbabwe ,so it becomes hard to prepare for a battle one is unware of.Therefore making it hard to prepare for climate change other than a deadly virus that is wiping out most of humanity

I think people aren't reacting to climate change than they are doing to the COVID-19 because they are taking this pandemic as a "state of emergency" problem. Our government is trying by any means necessary to vanquish the pandemic so as to quickly deal with the other problem.Of course it's the right thing to do but I think they must encounter both problems at the same time, more like killing two birds with one stone. In this scenario, they might be slowed down as a government by the people as some believe that climate change has no effect on the environment,as well as to humans themselves. They see it as a waste of time trying to find solutions but in reality, its causing havoc in the world. Therefore I think the people must be fed with the correct education and information about the dangers of climate change.

Hi, I'm from Palestine ,I would like to talk about climate change and covide_19.
    Climate change"greatest threat"UN told.
Climate change was already amatter of life and death for many countries.
But when We talk about coronavirus,We remember the trgedy,We remember the suffering that most people of the world went through and are still suffering ,We remember our loved who lost their during this crisis.
The world has been devastated by the covide_19 pandemic. In my country government made the rules and people changed their lifestyles overnight to protect themselves from covid_19.
The Corona virus forced the world to close factories for a period and this led to less air pollution and less use of cars that help alleviate the problem of climate change.
Now,I would like to say that this pandemic has taught us many healthy habits that We must all follow in our lives and perhaps that will be alesson for humanity to overcome other problems such as the problem of climate change.

Humans are always sensitive about the problems around them and the issues which threaten their life and health. And these days, people are not reacting to climate change the way they are reacting to Covid 19, as most of them don't really understand the dangers our environment is facing or they have other priorities ( Covid /life issues...). This is not to forget the social media which rarely talks or warns people about climate change and its harmful effects .

I think people are not reaching to climate change as quickly as they did to covid-19 because, first off coronavirus has killed many people and this has made a warning for others but because climate change happens quite gradually no one realises how big of a problem it is until it is to late and it has already been happening for years. Also, in my country, our leader (Boris Johnson) hasn't really gone on the topic of climate change as much as he has with corona which I guess kind of made people not realise how dangerous climate change is. Especially since some people rely on what Boris Johnson says. Even though there are people trying to help, there still hasn't been a big change because of the main event right now; corona. Another thing is, covid has spread so quickly and has changed so many lives I guess others might think this is their only chance to react.
Overall I think that there should be more action on climate change but still be very aware of covid-19.

In my opinion, people aren't reacting to climate change as quicly as they are doing to the COVID-19 because of many reason, the main is that the number of people damaged by climate change is lower than people damaged by the COVID-19.
Also, climate change is not considered as a threatening danger. Many of people do not believe that climate change is neither worrying or dangerous.
Another reason could be the fact that climate change has appeared from years ago so people has adapted to the changed climate but the COVID-19 had apeared only a year ago so people assumed that has rise suddently is more serious and threat.
However, everyone must give more interest and importance to climate change and act the same as they did to COVID-19 even if it has indirect impacts unlike the virus.

I think people are not reacting as quickly to climate change because, its consequences take a lot of time to appear that's why we are not observing them and reacting fast, contrary to the new pandemic, Covid-19, which has faster and more visible consequences than climate change. Where I live, in Tunis, Tunisia there are more Covid 19 noticeable consequences than climate change ones. Briefly, it's true that most people think in the short-term and are not concerned about the future and what's going to happen for the future generations, but I think that has to be changed.

In my point of view , mang people have not yet understood the risks of climate change that could surpass "Covid-19" by stages. I feel that hese two crises (covid19 & climate change ) are the biggest humanitarian challenge since World War II.

I found that the issue of the Corona pandemic and its impact on climate change occupies an advanced position among the issues discussed at the Climate Summit scheduled to be held on December 12, and hosted by the United Nations,
Britain and France via the Internet. As for the United Nations, the number of poor has increased by 40% around the world in 2021.
By the way, Climate change means more fires, floods and more violent storms, and it also fuels political conflict when people have to fight for resources. But in t he pandemic period is the only real time that has seen significant reductions in emissions globally over the past few decades.
I think that this period created a
glimmer of hope after the reduction in carbon emissions a little, but unfortunately, it will not last for long.
I believe that a strategy must be sought to achieve a double confrontation with two disasters, each of which alone is capable of eliminating life forms on planet Earth.

People are not reacting to climate change as quickly as they did to covid-19, because the first coronavirus occurred in December 2019 and immediately suffered the world. We, humanities were directly got large impacts by this virus. Over 141 million people are infected with coronavirus and about three million people died by the pandemic in this only one and several months. Moreover, because of the appearance and spread of unknown words such as "outbreaks" and "pandemic" and any of a dozen high-stakes words, people's awareness of the coronavirus which might put one's life at risk overshadowed climate change issues. Where I was born in Japan, people are more aware of coronavirus than climate change. This is due to the magnitude and urgency of the two effects. We can't really cause a big positive change to the pandemic issue; coronavirus has spread so quickly and has changed so many lives and people's lifestyles.

Now it is true that people are not reacting to climate change as quickly as they did to covid-19. The rate of covid 19 infection has reached over 141 million which it lead to the increased death rate of over 3 million. This has lead to the rapid developments of Covid-19 vaccine and now people are getting these vaccine injection to be safe against the Covid-19 and to be free with wearing masks.
However, now climate change is also getting at the point of being unable to recover. According to temperature analysis conducted by scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the average temperature on earth has increased little bit more than 1 degree celsius. The research by activesustainability.com it shows that if the temperature rises by 2 degrees celsius more people will exposed to drought, arctic will melt at least 10 years, 46 cm of ocean level will rise, 16% of plant will lost, 18% insects will lost, 3 million tonnes of fishes will be lost, and 7% of crops will lost. We can see that there are more serious long-term effects with climate change towards the earth, because since these long-term effects can be lead to the mass extinction and also human extinction which covid-19 does not.
I think even now most of people are just worrying about current situation but I think people should be thinking more about long term effects not just short-term effects.

The media is flooded with us daily with recommendations that will preserve our health in light of the rapid and precipitous spread of the emerging corona virus. A flood of advice such as, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, stay at home, avoid large gatherings and wear a mask, and with that the situation persists without knowing a specific date The return of life to what it was before Corona (Covid-19), which leads to psychological pressure and mood swings, which specialists and health officials ask for the necessity of social distancing, of course, is not an easy matter, as it is inconsistent with the person who is considered a social object by nature, this leads to introversion Isolation and causing mental illness and low mood. Unemployment spreads due to people stopping their work. Sitting for long periods on social media causes fear, panic and tension when the rate of virus infections and deaths rises, and students and teachers discontinue the educational process, in which a gap has become due to the interruption of a long period and that distance education is not sufficient and suitable for all mental levels And the climate that contains dust, which helps to speed up the spread of the virus, and all of this affects the mood and psychological state of society in light of the Corona virus. It is possible to overcome these problems by following these tips: Reducing thinking about the virus only We have to follow health instructions Corona No Underestimating and not exaggerating, and organizing time by allocating time to exercise, pursue hobbies and develop them, eat healthy food, arrange the house to maintain cleanliness, look at the situation on a positive side, develop from oneself by reading electronic books and magazines on the topics that you tend to, so I tend to read books In the field of medicine of all kinds, create joy and pleasure in yourself and others, and be positive, derive entertainment from you and practice ambition at the present time. WHY COVID 19 IS NOT SO MUCH SPEARDING IN NIGERIA
The reason why so many people are not contacting Covid 19 in Nigeria as expected by the World Heath Organization (WHO) is as a result of (1) Climate (2) Government (3) Trust and (4) The people.

    1. CLIMATE:- The weather in NIgeria when compare with the USA where death is so high is very diffirent. more so since the simtops of Covid 19 is similar to malaria and we in nigeria are so much used to malaria when compare to USA where malaria has been eliminated. the people of nigeria often sick malaria and with or without medication got well. so our climate accommmondate all types of sickness and we scale through.

    2. GIvernment:- The gab between the people and the government of nigeria is so wide that the common man hardly belive in any thing that the government says or do. That beacuse we have been so much time decived by the same government so much so that the people hardly take government seriously. Though the government comes ups with so much measures the people did not believe them.

    3. Though the people of nigeria believe that there is Covid 19, we like no 2 above never trust that the government is telling us the truth. we in Nigeria so much believe in God and as such believe that what you believe affect your life.

    4. The People. Nigeria people are very strong and recilance

I think people aren't reacting to climate change as they did for Covid because hospitals were overwhelmed so people reacted to covid immediately once they saw how deadly and dangerous it could be. People were also reacting more quickly because covid came suddenly and one minute later many people are dying which is why it was more urgent and serious, but climate change happens gradually over time so no one would even notice, especially when the whole world is worrying about covid.

What I have noticed from where I live in the UK, is that we don’t get much snow in Winter and summer is a bit more warmer, so even though it's gradually affecting us, it’s not affecting us in a bad way, which is why people don't see it as an emergency. Yet.

In Ghana most people are not reacting to climate change as compared to the Corona virus(covid-19) is that the see the covid to be a new thing to them and killing both rich and poor people in community and also according to their understanding, the virus can't underestimate too high temperatures. Due to this reason, most of them think that the higher the temperature of the country, the less the ability of the virus to survive on the surfaces of object. Because of this reason, most people see global warming to be an advantage over the covid-19 as they continue to practice all the safety protocols forgetting about the effect of global warming in years to come.
Ghana is a developing country with a normal temperature of about 27°C and after all the restrictions placed on companies are removed they will double their productions in order to reach their aims.
Please it's about time to have visionary leaders who can see ahead and plan towards it. Thank you.

As Covid-19 was a serious pandemic that caused death around the world, people began to feel fear of the disease, and anxiety also intensified.
Climate change can also have a serious impact on the Earth, so why don't people respond to climate change quickly?
The reason is that the impact of the Covid-19 on the world is more noticeable and serious. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought billions of people's daily lives to a discontinuation in months, causing tremendous pain and unexpected economic shock. Suddenly, they would have started to react immediately to the Covid that directly affected their life, and they would have been afraid of when they would die because of the high level of infection.
In addition, people were also aware of the seriousness of the daily mortality, as society created a sense of fear.
People know that climate change is also serious, but climate change has not affected people's lives worldwide yet, so there is a low perception that it is dangerous.
And, while climate change is a continuing problem, the risk of Covid is bound to be greater because it is a sudden life-changing infection. And people tend to be afraid of things in front of them, rather than of being far away.

Personally, I believe the world has reacted to COVID-19 faster than climate change due to the fact that COVID-19 has killed over 3 million people, in just slightly above a year. In these times, COVID-19 is a bigger problem than climate change, as the virus consistently mutates, causing more deaths, more infections. COVID-19 if not stopped, might even have the chance to possibly destroy our planet, along with climate change. The pandemic will be able to be resolved quicker than climate change, meaning stopping the spread of COVID-19 is a bigger priority than dealing with climate change during these times. So for these reasons, I believe governments are responding to COVID-19 quicker than climate change.

I think people are not reacting as quickly to climate change as they did to COVID because even though climate change is leading to serious issues ,it will effect us in the coming years .
But for the virus, it wasn’t expected and countries weren’t ready for it which led to a full lockdown for a long period of time.
And what also made people react that quickly and that dramatically is the increased number of people that were sick with the virus and died
Now, after a year of living with COVID and starting to create vaccines , people are adapting to it.
COVID-19 is a dangerous virus that should be taken seriously and same for the climate change that humans will probably suffer from if they don’t make changes.

I agree with you, the Corona virus has remarkable and rapid results, but don't you think that there is another reason, which is that people do not know about the seriousness of climate change and their lack of awareness, which causes the deterioration and increase of climate change, because carbon dioxide concentrations exceeded 410 parts per million during the first half of 2020 This is due to the lack of awareness, so we have to talk more about this topic and raise awareness and publish about it to limit climate change

Why aren't people reacting to climate change as covid19? Climate change is due to environmental pollution, which has been caused by humans. It started a long time ago but it was too late when they realized that our world is in danger. It occurred little by little unlike Covid 19 which suddenly landed with thousands of dead and sick who suffered a lot, and that's why scientists and politicians gave the priority to Covid 19 but that doesn’t mean that climate change is not important or that they won’t think about solutions to get beyond this pandemic. If you ask me about my opinion, I would say that it is time to change and save our world by our union cause nothing is impossible when we believe in it.

In Palestine, there is little interaction with climate change, although climate change is harmful to health and the respiratory system, it currently affects people with chronic diseases such as asthma patients, but Covid 19 also affects the respiratory system, but it spreads more quickly and has a danger to Young and old. So people care about their health and sit in their homes, because climate change affects us negatively, such as a high temperature, so we wear light clothes, and the next day it rains and we wear heavy clothes, and this negatively affects our health. Covid 19 has made people sit at home, so they do not mix with others and do not feel a major change in the climate because they are sitting at home.

    Hi
I think that people do not care about climate change as they care about Corona virus,
first: lack of awareness, there are many who are ignorant of this topic, second: that the Corona virus has noticeable effects such as: deaths, deterioration of the economy due to closures and home quarantine, but there is a relationship between Corona virus and climate change, As a result of the Corona virus, companies and factories were closed and road and air transport stopped. This led to a decrease in global emissions and improved air quality, but this is clean air, but it will not last long, and Antonio Goniers, Secretary-General of the United Nations, says, “Corona virus and climate change are two serious crises , but there is A fundamental difference between the two issues is that Covid-19 is a temporary problem that will disappear one day, while climate change has existed for years and continues for decades. Of course, we urgently need to address the health crisis, and its social and economic impacts, but without forgetting that the time for the climate change race is running short.
    What will happen now?
To limit climate change, we must raise awareness among people and inform them of the seriousness of the matter, there are simple things that if everyone does that will help to reduce climate change
1- Use the sun as a source of energy instead of fuel
    2- Stop using fossil fuels
3- Stop cutting forests, but we must expand and cultivate them
    4- Avoid using plastic.
    Thanks for that for reading💙

In my opinion , people are more interested in (Covid 19) virus than climate change , because people often do not feel the extent of the seriousness of climate change as mush as they feel the seriousness and seriousness of the virus (Covid 19) , which has caused a lot of trouble , deaths , and the collapse of the immune systems of all people and the danger to their health around the world as a whole , therefor , they paid attention to the virus (Covid 19 ) for fear of being infected with it , and for this reason the whole world was keen to adhere to wearing masks , quarantine , social distancing , and closing the places that cause the spread pf the virus .

Hello. As we know there is change in the climate. Today I will talk a little about the cause of climate change. There are many reasons, I will tell you the most important ones . The main reason is human activities due to the accumulation of many gases such as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
    And the second is deforestation.
Nowadays, they remove three in the forests to construct buildings and so on , and this has led to (global warming) , and cutting trees leads releases of carbon dioxide and it accumulates in the atmosphere.
The third reason and the last is industrialization . The industry has harmful environmental impacts due to gases from factories and automobile fuel .
These is the three reasons. Let us now answer the question of why we have not cared about climate change like Covid 19 . I think because climate change did not directly affect people, such as Covid 19 , Covid 19 destroyed the world, destroyed human life , stepped work, education and stopped life in general, as Covid 19 did not allow a person to perform his work as before , he forced a person not to go out of the home and not move like before, I think because Covid 19 stopped life in general, not as change climate.
    Thanks ❤
    God bless you ❤

Climate change has become accustomed to it in the past and we used to live with it, and change in it is a natural thing, but when this global epidemic came, everything changed, everyone followed its news because it is a serious disease that harms the respiratory system, not like the danger of the weather on the respiratory system, the epidemic is stronger of course, and everyone is afraid of this epidemic It is true that all people are afraid of diseases as the climate has an impact on health from one side, but people are accustomed to this not as a new virus and it spreads quickly and kills a lot as well. Did you know that the nature of the weather affects the spread of the virus, Covid 19, it spreads more in cold regions and is stronger than when it is in hot climates? Warning about its dangerousness (this is my opinion)

Why do people not react to climate change as quickly as they did with Covid-19?
I think that people do not react quickly to climate change as quickly as they did with Covid-19 because Covid-19 suddenly appeared to the world without them knowing that something was going to spread, Rather, they neglected this thing at the beginning, which led to the death of many innocent people around the world, and it also caused more than 1.6 billion children and youth to drop out of education in 161 countries, which is nearly 80% of students enrolled in school around the world. What our planet is currently witnessing from a distant time when people think about it from the environmental consequences only, such as: (rising sea levels, rising temperatures, melting glaciers ...) This is around the world. As for Palestine, one of the most prominent impacts expected in Palestine in the century Current: low levels of rainfall; accompanied by a rise in the rate of high temperatures that can lead to "water insecurity". As we know, we have a proverb (water is the basis of life), and agriculture will also suffer as a result. 22 April 2020 As the world begins to plan for the recovery after the award, the United Nations calls on governments to seize the opportunity to "rebuild better" through more sustainable, resilient and inclusive societies. I hope the rulers will listen and address the most important topic, which is climate change, and we see improvement and progress because If they improve this topic, most problems will be solved. Thank you.

Hello, I am from Palestine. When thinking about why most people do not interact with climate change, although it has very bad consequences that threaten us in the future, just as they interacted with Covid 19, my personal view is the lack of awareness of the threat posed by the climate, at the beginning of the spread of Covid 19 It only spread to China, but we quickly learned the dangers of this virus and how to avoid exposureWe learned about its dangers from the media and social media, but the climate fluctuations did not receive enough attention from the media, just as the Covid 19 pandemic received. With this, then I turn to the climate at the present time, which is differentiated from the climate in the future. The climate of our country is now moderate and the majority of the population thinks that it will continue in this way, but every dayNew inventions appear and every day technology is developing more and more and every day the population increases, which increases air pollution and climate threats. Adequate awareness of future climate threats and how to reduce them must be spread, I move from here to the effects of climate and the effects of Covid 19, Covid 19 and its consequences Humanity is more immediate than the vagaries of climateIts consequences are very noticeable, as there are many injuries and many deaths that appear every day while the climate has very bad consequences, but they are not immediate and people do not notice them greatly, I think that the reason people care more about Covid 19 than they care about the climate is due to the lack of awareness, recklessness and the spread of the consequences of Covid 19 more quickly than the climate consequences, so how do we solve these problems? *We will use the best methods to raise awareness
With the threat posed by climate:
1 Spreading adequate awareness by the media. 2Carrying out artwork and publishing posters that
    Clarifies climate threats.
3 Share personal and global opinions to solve this the problem.
4 Not underestimating the threats it poses the climate.
5 to recall the disasters that occurred in the past
From the vagaries of the climate.
6 Spreading awareness of the human, material and other losses that these threats may inflict. 7Use all methods that reduce fluctuations the climate.

I think that people interact more with Covid 19 because a person cannot live alone, so the virus has affected that through special measures such as social distancing and preventing gatherings, and also because it affects his life directly and not in one area, and a person by nature clings to life and loves to mix with others. Despite this, the risks of climate change are very large, but perhaps a person does not know their size, so the responsible authorities must take measures regarding this, such as:
1- Expanding green areas and forests.
2- Reducing the emissions of factories and cars.
3- Using renewable energy such as hydrogen in cars.
4- Educating people of its dangers.
Although Covid 19 was a great crisis, it united the world, made the countries of the world friendly and united, and made us feel human and responsible towards each other.

With the beginning of 2020, our world was dominated by the Coronavirus, and the government made its effort to delay its entry into the Gaza Strip and reduce its spread by publishing instructions for citizens to adhere to them through (wearing masks, social distancing, using sterilizers, working and studying online, quarantine)
The more the disease spread, the higher the deaths, but there was a bigger and more important problem that the general public did not notice, which is the climate crisis, which had a negative but not direct effect, such as the Corona virus, which depleted the health and security system and led to deaths in a large way.

Hello, I previously spoke about my personal view of why people interact more with Covid 19 than they do with climate, and now I come back to explaining the best way to reduce the threats posed by climate and from my personal point of view I find that the best way is to clarify, spread and raise awareness about what That these threats cause it include human and material losses, etc. I think that in this way, people will increase their anxiety about their property, whatever it is, and their fear of losing what they have will increase, and every country will fear losing its economy or its property or even increasing people's fear of losing their loved ones. Which increases caution and caution and reduces this problem.

Hello, I am from Palestine, I will talk about why I see it as an effective reason behind people interacting with Covid 19 more than they interacted with the climate despite the dangerous climate threats.People have adapted to the climate, as it has been with us since ancient times, while Covid 19 did not appear until a few years ago, and it seemed as strange and new to people, a new virus that infects and kills thousands of people every day! So everyone startedBy publishing information and articles about this virus on the media and on social networking sites so that it became a conversation for all people, while the climate is something we have become accustomed to and adapted to.

I think that people do not react quickly to climate change because there are not many injuries, or rather, there is no mixing with people from outside the country where I live in my country Gaza. It is a closed town from the world, to which no one comes except for a few, and they are its original inhabitants who went out to meet their own needs. This helps not to rapidly worsen Covid 19 in us, but one day the disease reached us, Covid 19 and my people suffered, but despite their suffering they did not adhere to the instructions as they believed that washing hands, sterilizing hands, physical distancing, and so on, since we will enter the summer, they believe that Covid 19 He will die with heat. This is a mistake and it will remain a mistake because they think that sterilization will protect them, but just sterilization and washing hands will not help these things reduce the risk of infection with Covid 19 disease and so is the case with the climate They think that it will disappear alone if we really want to get rid of the climate problem We need both hands because the hand The one does not clap. This is an opinion. We must stand together to reduce climate problems. We are currently witnessing the worst days of our life. Climate problems such as car smoke that help open the harmful violet layer that forms a streak. So, how do we stop it if no one cares and who cares about a few, we must put an end to these difficulties, such as games to spread awareness of the seriousness of climate change, movies, or peaceful demonstrations.

I think people aren't reacting to climate change as they did for Covid because hospitals were overwhelmed so people reacted to covid immediately once they saw how deadly and dangerous it could be. People were also reacting more quickly because covid came suddenly and one minute later many people were dying which is why it was more urgent and serious, but climate change happens gradually over time so no one would even notice, especially when the whole world is worrying about covid.

What I have noticed from where I live in the UK, is that we don’t get much snow in Winter and summer is a bit more warmer, so even though it's gradually affecting us, it’s not affecting us in a bad way. Yet.
