Hello,my name is grateful_recipe and this is my final piece for the American election issue for this term's Burnet News Club.

My character:

Name-Lila Bee

What matters to you in the upcoming election ?

I am worried about immigration because one of my friends is Muslim and her family lives in America and so she can't come to visit them.

How many electoreal votes is the state you live in worth?

I live in California witch is worth 55 electoral votes.

How does your state usually vote ?

My state usually votes for democrats.

Who do you plan to vote for ?

I plan to vote for Joe Biden because he plans to stop the wall being built.

How powerfuldo you feel your vote is ?

Not powerful -------------------------x--------- Very powerful

My interview:

can you tell me a bit about yourself?

Hello,my name is Lila Bee,I am 20 years old and I am an actor. I would like Joe Biden to win the election because he plans to stop building the wall and ban the rule that stops Muslim people from entering America.

How do you feel about tomorrow's election ?

I am feeling very excited to vote and to see who wins the election but I am a bit worried in case most of my state votes for Donald Trump.

Can you explain why some people might not vote?

Some people might not vote because they are to young, they weren't born in America or they just aren't interested.

How powerful do you think your vote is ?

I think my vote is quite powerful because I live in a state that is worth a lot of electoral votes so my vote could make a big difference.

Why should people vote tomorrow?

People should vote because if they vote it will still make a difference even if you live in a state only worth a small amount of electoral votes .

How do you feel about the voting system in America?

I think the democratic system is a bit unfair and in some ways a bit confusing. I think that it is unfair because people from the government decided on how many electoral votes your state is worth by the amount of people living in the state at the time and the amount of electoral votes that a state is worth can put people off of voting. I think it can be a bit confusing because there are electoral votes and popular votes which people do get muddled up with.
