An Interview with a Voter

Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

Hello I'm Nora Garcia, I am 23 and I am a teacher.

How do you feel about tomorrow's election?

I feel excited to see what the country thinks and also nervous at the same time to see if anything affects the education system.

Why should people vote tomorrow?

People should vote because the future of the country depends on their vote and it can also make the country better.

How powerful do you think your vote is?

I think my vote is quite powerful because I live in Florida which is a swing state.

Can you explain why some people might not vote?

Some people might not vote because of citizenship, age, accessibility and electoral votes and that's okay but I feel that other people should try and vote as their votes is very important and they do count.

What about presidency. Would you ever run for president? Why?

I have not lived here for 14 years and I am not very keen on politics.

How do you feel about the voting system in America?

I think that the democratic system in America is a bit unfair and confusing because of electoral votes and how the the people of cities vote and that they always vote for one party. Some people in those states might not want to vote for that party.

And finally, thank you for your time and good luck for the future!

Thank you!
