The election is in 1 day and we are talking to someone on their thoughts about it:
Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Hi, I'm Jimmy. I am 18 and my occupation is a doctor/scientist who wants to make this world a happier and healthier place. I'm voting for Biden in this election
How do you feel about tomorrow's election?
I feel excited about the election because I've waited for, like, ages to get my say in one of these voting thingies and I feel that I have known more than those oldies about elections since, like, I was in school.
Why should people vote tomorrow.
People should vote tomorrow because we need a change in our policies. Donald Trump may have done many things in his time as president but they were not all good. Some of them - his worst choices ever. I think this new guy - Biden - can make a change in this community.
How powerful do you think your vote is?
My vote is quite powerful because I live in Florida which has 23 electoral votes or something. I dunno man, don't ask me that question!!!
Can you explain why some people might not vote?
Some people might not vot because:
- They are under the age of 18
- They were in another country and Trump has closed off votes coming to America from outside
- Or they're just LOONIES who can't be bothered to have a say in their life
What about the presidency. Would you ever run for president? Why?
I wouldn't run for president because I don't think that many people would follow along with my ideas and I am not very capable to access political interests.
How do you feel about the voting system in America?
I think the voting system in America is unfair and confusing because in the last election, Hilary Clinton got more votes but Donald Trump won because of something called "electoral votes" and they are different for each state. If it was just counting each person's vote individualy, I might change my mind about it being fair/unfair!
Hope you enjoyed,
By fair instrument 😊
