American Election - Final Piece

Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

Hello there, my name is Casey Chan and I am 18 years old. I'm a college student from Umbrella Academy. I live with my mum in California in America. In my opinion, Education is the most important policy because it really interests me and helps me with my studies.

How do you feel about tomorrow's election?

I feel nervous for who is going to win but at the same time excited! I want to know who is going to win. I don’t like Donald Trump but I will still be happy for whoever wins this election.

Can you explain why some people might not vote?

People might not vote because of their age or even because they are not interested in voting and they don’t think their vote will make a difference. Maybe they think it is useless or maybe they are not bothered and they don't like any of candidates and their policies.

How powerful do you think your vote is?

I think my vote is quite powerful because it could make a difference and there are a lot of people voting for Joe Biden who I am voting for. I think he would be a better president because he knows more rights than Donald Trump who I'm not voting for.

Why should people vote tomorrow?

Because we need a president or there will be no rules and it would be chaotic, it wouldn't be peaceful and there’s nobody to rule our country.

How do you feel about the voting system in America?

I think is a bit unfair because there are very powerful votes and if the electoral points are high then you might be pleased compared to if they are low.

Would you ever be president and why?

I don’t think I will ever be president because I am too young to be a president and it would be complicated for me to run the country.
