"The Senate" is one of the houses of Congress - which is a bit like our Parliament in the UK. People are elected from each state and represent that state in the Senate, where votes are held on laws. If the majority political party in the Senate is the same party as the president, it can make it easier for the president to pass laws. Alicia talks more about the Senate in the video at the very bottom!

Hi,
ingenious_forest here,
I was looking through BNC when I came across this article. I would like to answer the questions posted at the bottom of every video.
Question 1: Alicia describes Joe Biden as "gregarious" - can you find out what that word means?
Gregarious means liking the company of others, and being sociable.
Question 2: We talk about a decision that Donald Trump might make about the Supreme Court - what decision is this?
This decision is that the seat on the Supreme court filled by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg is to be filled in by Amy Coner Barrett, a Republican Judge.
Question 3: Alicia says this election "could end up in the Supreme Court" like in the year 2000. Can you find out what happened then?
In the year 2000, there was a recount dispute in the election (this means that the candidates had such a close margin of votes between them, that the counters had to recount the votes!) this dispute was settled by the US Supreme Court.
Question 4: Alicia describes the electoral college system as "antiquated" - can you find out what this means?
Antiquated means resembling the past, and old-fashioned.
Question 5: Alicia talks of Hilary Clinton making a speech about cracks in a glass ceiling - when did Hillary Clinton say this and what did she mean?
This speech was made on the 9th of November 2016, after Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election. What she meant by this was that Women are slowly making their way out of gender inequality and that by her being the first female candidate for the American President in modern times, they had almost destroyed the glass ceiling keeping inequality in the world.
I would also like to give another question for anyone to answer:
Why do you think Alicia Sams decided to create a film about President Barack Obama?
I know the answer to that is fairly obvious, but if you really think about it, there are so many different reasons.
Well done for answering these, ingenious_forest! Superb research has helped you problem-solve and find these answers!

Do you think Donald trump actually had COVID or did he do it for attention
He might of faked it because it could of been seen as a way to get some sympathy or maybe more people where leaning over to that side of voting Joe Biden and he needed a way to gain over people’s votes
I am wondering that same question.
Did he just do that for attention so people can be sympathetic for him?..
Or is it actually real!! If it is real it is his fault because he never wears a mask and feeling covid will probably teach him right!
Yeah same
